Glad you enjoyed it. The hardest thing to doing it out side is finding somewhere level, that’s where the plywood (if you can afford it now) and cherry picker comes in handy it’s pretty simple and easy to do just take pictures of each step as you go.
@@scottfamilyfarmretreat1090 I have grown up dropping transmissions in the dirt and even building structures out of landscape timbers and 2x4s to pull engines. but I never split a tractor before, but you guys made it look easy enough. I will be ok, I will just copy what you did, thanks for the tips on how its done in the dirt.
If you use a clutch alignment tool to set the clutch disc it will more or less align itself as you put it together, you might have to turn the crank just a hair as it slides together
I'm about to do this same repair on my grandpa's early '60s Ford 2000. Really enjoyed the vid, it helps to see the complete process. What grit sandpaper did you go with?
Thanks I hope it helps , I’m new to TH-cam and haven’t figured this hole video thing out yet it’s hard to remember to stop and explain what I’m doing or make sure the camera can see, I used 180 grit paper you want it to take the glazing off the flywheel without scratching to deep. How did u line up the splines on the clutch and trans shaft?
