- "The King Of Carrot Flowers Pt. One" is the song that opens Neutral Milk Hotel's fantastic second studio album, "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea". This song! This whole album! It puts me in a unique mood. I'm happy, sad and nostalgic, all at the same time. Please rate and comment, and subscribe if you would like to follow my future content!

Everybody gangsta til the college kid at the the party starts to play King Of Carrot Flowers Pt. 1
If you don’t stop him he will play Gone For Good
@@nickbryantfyiI love the shins! This comment is gold
Your voice is perfect for covering neutral milk hotel songs!
Thank you! I'll might record and upload some more Neutral Milk Hotel songs in the future.
Idk why no one watched this. It sounds pretty dope 🤘
Thank you!
Kristoffer Skjørestad if it's okay, I shared it on twitter and Facebook.
Amanda Garcia No problem at all!
i am thoroughly impressed by how nice he holds the b flat and how easily he switches to it
Thank you! Though it's not the "correct way" of holding the chord, I would say it sounds really nice. I have taught myself to play the guitar through the internet and made some shortcuts here and there when it comes to learning techniques the proper way. But I guess that's what gives people unique styles, haha.
Yeah I was gonna comment something similar. Definitely a different way to bar it.
the b flat is is easiest chord of the 3 he plays. the F is more impressive
@@isars3433maybe for some people. I play the F really naturally, but struggle a lot with the Bb
Holy cow your voice is on point!
This is one of the very few covers I unironically enjoy. You're a really cool dude.
Thank you man!
😻 I was late night googling to find someone who could really cover this specific song well and you certainly scratched the itch! I can tell just by watching you play that you are a musician, not just someone playing a song. You have the 🔥 never lose it!
Thank you for your kind words! :D
I can hear the trumpet in the background
I love how your fingers bend backwards
Tf does this mean
Nice work man, i think it's time for part 2
Excellent cover!
@@dlambbikepacking Thank you so much!

Wow, that's such a great compliment! Thank you so much!!
This needs more views. Your voice is great!

Excellent.
Thank you so much!
damn dude you crushed it
Thank you so much!
This is a real good one 10/10
tremendo, muy bueno.
Damn this is beautiful
Your voice is great
bro stunned himself at the end
If I remember correctly, I was thinking: "Did I really do it in one take?" Haha, I usually need to play the songs 5 - 10 times before I'm pleased. The recording nerves are very much there whenever I stand in front of the camera!
Outstanding job! 👍🏻
Damn this is great
Thank you so much!
Flawless.
Thank you so much!
What the hell his fingers bro
Scronch
Probably some form of hyper mobility. It’s more common than ppl make it out to be. He could get some tendon problems later on if he doesn’t start trying to put his fingers flat
@@Luckie_7 7 years later, and still no tendon problems luckily! Haha, I have no form of hyper mobility, but I can understand why you would think that. The way I hold the chords looks pretty weird. Some barre chords I hold more flat now, but I am still using the same method for the B flat.
Always some dick saying something stupid. Just listen to the song.
Loved this!
Thank you so much!
That's amazing! Congrats mate :)
Thank you so much!
I felt that, great cover!
Thank you so much!
Fire my friend.
Really good.
Cool👍🏻 amazing song and voice✌🏻️
Thank you :D
Amazing performance
Thank you so much!
Best Cover!
holy fuck this is pretty much on POINT.. bravo sir!
Well done!
Gonna suscribe just to see another cover from NMH by you.
Great cover man.
Thank you so much!
This sounds so on point that I am thinking twice about the chords of the song, pretty sure it uses F, C and Bb….. are you tuned to D or something?
Thank you! Those are indeed the correct chords. I usually tune my acoustic to D, because it makes it possible for me to sing songs that I normally can't sing in normal tuning. I also like how the strings sound in D tuning. More loose and "bouncy". When a song demands normal tuning, like this one, I just put a capo on the second fret.
Shout out to my boy Ezra who has the same poster!
🔥
Nice
@@lovewalruss Thank you so much!
Everyone ignoring this looks like Spider-Man’s twin?
Haha, you're not the first person to call out my resemblance to Tom Holland! But probably the first one on TH-cam though.
how you move your fingers dat fast
A lot of practice will eventually lead to great muscle memory. Can't really explain it any other way, haha!
You didn't scream it up an octave on the last verse 2/10
thats probably unique to magnum and a few other individuals lmao
Haha, the annoying thing is that I actually can do that now! My voice has evolved quite a bit since this video. I'm thinking about doing a cover of "Two Headed Boy" or "In The Aeroplane Over The Sea" soon.
Do Aeroplane over the sea, it is very rewarding once you are no longer tripping all over the words!! I'm working on this one next.
@@TheKim2340 Cool! I'm quite sure I will do that one next. Good luck with your cover!
What guitar is that?
It's an Eko guitar! Italian made.
BeastMode
Why would to downtune your guitar just to put capo on the second fret?
DGCFAD has become my standard tuning because I like the "raw" sound of loose strings. Also because it gives me a "negative capo", which always allow me to drop a song down a few steps to better suit my voice on certain songs. All that without having to change the tuning of the guitar. It's a life hack for me, haha. Instead of tuning the guitar back to normal tuning (EADGBE) just for this one song, I found it easier to put a capo on the second fret. You'll see this in a lot of my videos!
looks a little bit like a young DeLonge.
OMG IT'S TOM HOLLAND, I LOVED YOU IN SPIDER-MAN!!!!!!
Haha, thank you! I did my best!
Interesring C/G chord
Not going high on the final part "dare to try" ruins the song
I know 😔 Couldn't reach those high notes back then and make it sound good, but I can now. So that's a bit annoying. The rest of the song I'm quite pleased with though.
@@KristofferSkjrestad great, it means youre improving, which really is the most important thing. not ruins, sorry, still a good effort, but the high part adds energy and power at the end of the song which i think is non negotiable. go on!
@@bigbearrecordingstudio7921 Thank you! I agree. The high notes at the end of the song lifts it from good to epic levels.
