Hi Chris! Beautiful guitar! I'm here because I am in the middle of a partscaster Jag assembly myself.
About the orientation of the pickup claws, this is what I have "learned" through reading forums and articles online (I realize this info could be wrong, but I don't have any better at the moment):
    1. Real vintage Fender Jaguars appear to almost uniformly have the cut-off teeth on the low E and A string.
    2. There is a 1967 Fender schematic that places the cut-off teeth on the E and B strings.
    3. Throughout later years, after the initial pre-CBS era, Fender Jags appear to have come out of the factory with the cut-off teeth facing either way, randomly, without any strong trend.
    4. Some people claim Leo Fender thought the low E and A were too dominant volume-wise on the Jag, which is why he decided to cut off the claw teeth (claw fingers?) for those two strings.
    5. The Jaguar is known for being quite trebly or even shrill - some people say that if you place the cut-off teeth on the treble strings, it reduces some harsh treble frequencies. Apparently Fender Japan Jags consistently have the cut off claws over the two treble strings.
I have no idea either way, as I haven't A/B tested, nor have I managed to find an A/B test online so far.
Your thoughts, having played your Jag for a year now?

Glad you used that vintage cloth tone wire Chris😊. I also hate it when I dont do a good job with the sticky pokey thing - my missus always complains😂 !!
But seriously, love the look of this build. I dont usually like pink, but that is a beaut colour 👍🏼

10:17, I have found lately that I LOVE the sound of a mustang in the in between pickup setting. I usually dislike combined pickup sounds. Makes me think I would like it on a Jag too since it's short scale with similar pickups.
