Looking back at this makes me reminds me how lucky i was to have been around to see this icon.sad to also remember he died a year later in a car accident so young.a talent that bought joy to so many.still sounds sooo good today.love you marc.you are always remembered by me then and still.
Just can’t stop watching this… it’s wonderful to see… wish I’d been there… great atmosphere.. comes over great in this video. Marc Bolan was such a show man and so energetic and you can tell he’s enjoying himself.. love it
Wow, thank you so much. Its terrific to see those two songs and I’ve heard how great the live show was (even with the tuning problems; such a shame). Adore Soul of my Suit. Thanks again…. What a treasure Marc Bolan is ❤️
@@mbolan1 There's a lot of lights there which would drag them off standard tuning - not like nowadays when the players have their own digital tuners on the guitars to avert such gremlins...
@@Bimmeroo090-cl5czI don’t think you can judge the man on his singles chart placing alone. Bowie’s Diamond Dogs, Heroes, Young Americans etc faired poorly in the singles charts but the man was never a faded star. I agree the madness was over but T.Rextasy was an amazing period in music history. I have to say that New York City is my favourite of the latter T.Rex singles whereas many of them were not up to the amazing catalogue from 68 to 73.
Good to see Marc looking so well and healthy here but otherwise his music at this time was pretty mediocre compared to the past and I must admit I much preferred his original band...not these average session musicians you see here.
In reality T.Rex were never a band. It was always Marc with hired hands, session musicians if you like. From Steve Took to Mickey Finn et al. All on a wage - never equal band members like The Beatles or The Stones etc.
Great show 👍 KALMIYH ❤️
Thank you for sharing the video 👍❤️

Keep a little Marc in your heart!!! 🖤
Always!
Marc Bolan with Twiggy what a great combination of pop culture icons.
Great vid, although I wish that frog would bugger off!

Yes, it's really great... Glad you enjoyed it
I love Marc's jacket 😍 how great it must've been to witness his talent and greatness ❤️
Cool! I never saw this before today. Thanks VERY much!!
I remember watching this at the time. Great to see all three songs being played. The band was coming together well at that point.

Our pleasure!
why would it be out of tune they must have tuned up before the show, didn't know that heat would effect the guitar's such a shame makes poor Marc.
@@mbolan1 yes, it’s a big shame 😬 Never mind… he gave a great show anyway 😃

Fantastic live performance
Glad you enjoyed it
I can’t believe I love Marc so much 💋🎩♥️
Keep a bit of mark in your ❤🎩
Thanks for sharing , what a showman he was! Makes you wonder what else he might have gone on to achieve.
So true!
BIG thanks for uploading . I was 12 years old and i remember T-Rex good ...my parents hate them :))
Thanks for sharing - I really appreciate seeing that x
Glad you enjoyed it
I love this. Thanks for sharing 😊
You are so welcome!
Had no idea they did soul of my suit on this program!
When he brought out the Frog song in 1975, it's obvious the game was up.
New York City was afabulous single. One of my favourite T.Rex songs.
@@ATMFC Not a patch on his earlier work, mediocre by comparison. Only made no. 15 in the charts....by then he was a faded act.

Great quality footage 👍 Is this the first time that “Soul of My Suit” from this performance has been available to view ?
Its been on DVD before, offical and unoffical.
All i can see is a bleary fogey distorted t.rex Dino Dines out of shot.

@@ATMFC Fair comment but like so many others, he did exploit them....a stingy boss.
