Sometimes it's not the fault of the distributor/dealer. Don't forget, Sime Darby distributes motor vehicles all over the ASEAN region in various markets and numerous brands. So I would think they know the automotive business quite well. I have to disagree "after driving an SUV you won't wanna drive another passenger car" thing. Maybe because there's a personal resentment everytime I drives a 4x4 SUV. If you could afford to buy it and is capable of maintaining an SUV 4x4, more power for you.

Discuss about PARTS AVAILABILITY. All models of kind of brand with the kind of models but NOT ALL kind of parts are available. How is that? We can have it all, as long as you have the guts to have one expensive car. The parts is one important thing.
@@mariamarakino3693 interesting point, yes, some parts are "ready stock" and some have to be ordered, this is the same for every carmaker. They will not have every single part or component that can make a whole car, it makes no sense to keep stock of rarely changed items, cos of factors like space and money. Mostly regular wear and tear items are kept in stock, but if something that usually doesn't break, does, very likely they have to order it from overseas and that takes time, and it's the amount of time that's usually the issue. Hope that answered your question 😊🙏🏽
This isna dying breed in Malaysia, options are either this Everest or a Fortuner. That's the real comparison, weather 5 or 7 seats its not important. Its how it makes you feel and definitely due to the tax, this is so far out of reach from the masses. I stand by that if getting an SUV, get proper ladder on frame SUV not the new soft-roaders that honestly are a cheat of an experience for the money. Ladder on frame gives toughness (solid safety), visibility, power to perform, space to carry anything and for macho for a guy. But not forgetting paint it black and bit of chrome fittings, its no better than a Lexus RX350 or Mercedes GLS. Its just sad and mad its so expensive!!! Aaaaaahhhh
make sure the suv is tall enough. if u just drive small suv like hrv, u would want to go back to normal car because of the lackluster handling. unless if u can afford porsche macan la. I'm sorry, mazda cx5,cx30,cx8,cx9.
One thing i do not like ford vehicles in malaysia is the warranty. They only provide 3 years. That is super darn less for 200k vehicle This is why everest is never popular in the country and people might as well go buy recond toyota suv in that price range
Dude an "ISSUE" spreading with this SUV. Try watching and read comments about 4x4 biturbo in Philippines. They say (from the owners mouth) its like a small engine with steroids. So the outcome, Bi turbos will put a lot of stress in a small 2liter engine and end up by an EARLY wear and tear in some parts of it. Much better if Ford did a 2.5 - 2.8 liter engine (with bi turbo)
Thanks for the feedback bud, yeah, but not just this model, ALL small forced-induction engines are highly-stressed units, regardless of body config. This actually started to happen way back in late 90s, and not just for continental models, but Japanese ones too. I think it's a known issue tbh, since cars aren't made to last a lifetime anymore, unlike older cars from the 60s to 80s. "Lifetime" now means 10-15yrs.
@@silvertab6542 Engine Technology evolved. Just like decades ago, Big V12s with only 150hp or even smaller output, also a gas thirsty. Koenigsegg built a freevalve 3-Cylinder turbocharged with an output of 600HP for its Gemera. That's R&D for you.

Only you can answer that, get what you want and like bud, I'm just throwing out options 😁👍🏾🙏🏽
Better 500nm output felt compared to the Hilux Rouge ?
I reckon it has to do with the 10-speed gearbox, so yeah. More ratios to "play" with 😊🙏🏽

Best to check with your local Ford importer there bud 🙏🏽😊
Fuyo, nice car 🚗
It's seriously brilliant. Not many cars can leave me speechless, much less an SUV, cos I don't even really like SUVs tbh 🤭
But I REALLY like this one.
How is the second value ? Can beat Toyota ?
Let me answer u this way. U buy a new car for your own enjoyment, or for the next owner's pleasure? Like it, buy it 😉🙏🏽👍🏾 #yolo #lifestooshorttodriveboringcars
@@ChrisWeevilGarage it's funny how so many people even before buying a car, already thinking of selling it...
Very nice review Sir. But this SUV is a mid-size, not full size as you've said. 👍👍
Thanks!! Guess it depends on the country, it's a full size here, haha!! Mid size would be a Nissan X-Trail or Honda CR-V here 😊👍🏾
I have to disagree "after driving an SUV you won't wanna drive another passenger car" thing. Maybe because there's a personal resentment everytime I drives a 4x4 SUV. If you could afford to buy it and is capable of maintaining an SUV 4x4, more power for you.
Thank you for your feedback, appreciate your opinion 👍🏾😊
Latest car model - Forester or Everest?
Both are in a different price playing field bud, can't compare 😉
love this car but the price...
Yes, it's not cheap, at all 😊
@@ChrisWeevilGarage thank you for reviewing this car. i thought this spec is not available in malaysia. now that i know, i will wait for 2nd hand or pre reg few years later.

Thanks for catching that 🤣🤣🤣👍🏾
Finally
its the same engine as the ranger raptor right?
Yeah, pretty much 😊
You don't see much of this on the road cos it's really expensive....for a Ford. I can't decide which looks weirder/awkward - this or the Toyota Fortuner 🤣 How is Ford's after sales service ? Heard it's pretty bad.
Tbh, which brand has its customers all very satisfied with their aftersales service, I hear complaints on every brand. Anyway we are not discussing AS service here, just the Everest, let's stick to that 😊

What is its mileage??
Less than 10k kms, can't recall exactly.
better than fortuner, i dont know about new pajero. the price is a bit pricey, but if can afford it, this everest must be on the list. 😂😂
Yeah man, sorely underrated SUV this 😊
just need to ask u bro,u have tested the car. about the third row sit,is it adjustable? can recline or not? for me this suv is way better than fortuner, can save for roadtax, that bi-turbo engine is really2 something. i’ve tried the brand new fortuner,2.8 diesel. not to say its not good but okay lah, the interior of that everest man is simple but niceeee

Is it rear wheel drive in normal drive mode?
It's a full-time 4WD system, all wheels are being driven even on normal roads 😀👍🏾
@@ChrisWeevilGarage oh really? Is that the same for Raptor too?
@@simlowsb Raptor is RWD till 4WD-auto is engaged, then it will transfer power to the front wheels if slip is detected, like a torque on demand system 😊
@@ChrisWeevilGarage AHH.. I see. Then Everest would consume more fuel then since it is all time 4 wheel drive
@@simlowsb theoretically yes, but these new diesel powerplants are quite fuel efficient tbh 😊

Pretty darn good for something this big, a full tank typically returns 800km+ 😀

Did you buy this Everest?
Chris says don't know how Ford has put this kind of power in a SUV. 1st Gen VW V10 TDI laughing from the history books... :-)
I mentioned that very SUV in the video. But do remember, that was a 5.0L V10, this is a 2.0L 4cyl 😉

If Fortuner with the updated 2.8 engine, not sure Fortuner could perform like this
Hopefully they would have sorted out the thirst issue with the petrol-driven Fortuner by now, it's a bit of a gas guzzler 😬
@@ChrisWeevilGarage In my opinion, the only sensible engine for any SUV or 4WD is a turbo diesel....Even the Suzuki SJ410 with it's 989cc engine was "thirsty" ...
However, if you own an oil well, then that wouldn't be an issue at all.
@@fordboy2006 sadly many don't, me included, lol! But yeah, definitely a Tdiesel engine for trucks and big SUVs like this, it's a perfect match 👍🏾😊
There is a disease in umw not bringing in the diesel fortuner. They are trying to push fortuner up market but it actually stifle sales.

Aaaaaahhhh
Right?! If this was cheaper I reckon it would be everywhere cos it's really amazing. Spotting a Lambo on the road is easier than spotting this 😄
make sure the suv is tall enough. if u just drive small suv like hrv, u would want to go back to normal car because of the lackluster handling. unless if u can afford porsche macan la. I'm sorry, mazda cx5,cx30,cx8,cx9.

One thing i do not like ford vehicles in malaysia is the warranty.
They only provide 3 years. That is super darn less for 200k vehicle
This is why everest is never popular in the country and people might as well go buy recond toyota suv in that price range

Why people buy Ford Everest when people can buy Ford raptor able to go borneo safari?
It's for those who want Raptor power, but in a large SUV instead I guess 😉
no. those big fox shock lower mounting at the axle will actually bottom out. Normal ranger will actually be better for malaysia off-road ground.

@@ChrisWeevilGarage i have driven my cousin's ford ranger pickup truck and the torque was really effortless and addictive
@@aircommandslipperz yes indeed, the low-end torque is amazing 😀
