    Little late to the party here, but I just recently bought this flavor and didn't completely understand the instructions. Now I do, your video did not disappoint😊

    This has quickly become my favorite samyang flavor. The curry is totally on point. Only downside is it makes my apartment smell of curry for a while

    I just had these and wanted to see what other people thought of the spice.
    To me it was definitely spicy. But it was not the type of heat that makes it hard to taste anything else. You could clearly taste and enjoy the noodles.
    I thought the noodles and the sauce tasted very nice, like among the better instant ramen I’ve had.
    But I agree that the curry flavour is noticeable but it also taste similar to Samyangs original noodles.
    And it does not taste like a Japanese curry.
    In a bite you got the flavour of curry and noodles first and then you had this lingering heat that came afterwards, and the heat built a bit as you ate it, but not any crazy amounts.
    It made my lips, mouth and throat tingle a lot, and my nose runny.
    But I could still breath without it hurting/making me feel like a dragon.
    I could still enjoy these noodles at this spice level. But I think my optimal spice level for just being able to eat them and have a great time, would have been 75% of this spice level.
    I don’t think I’m ready for Samyangs spicer levels just yet.

      I enjoy the curry flavour over the "nuclear noodles", I agree there is a combination of both flavour and spice rather than just purely spice.

    First time I had these I thought they were pretty sweet, and not very spicy at all, but I had been on a spice binge for a while.
    I stopped eating spicy food for a good bit, but had these today and they were much spicier than I recall. My tolerance has definitely dropped. So good, though!

    Have you tried putting in milk? I find that to make every flavor better! Instead of putting back in water while adding sauce, I tend to add milk. Makes them creamy and balances the spice level just right.

  • @klaud7311
    @klaud7311 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Improved method:
    Boil the noodles until they achieve a texture firmer than al dente, retaining a considerable firmness (until they _just_ stop being stiff).
    Save an amount of pasta water in the pot equivalent to half of the sauce pack, per noodle pack used.
    Stir the noodles vigorously on high heat, incorporating the flakes, until fully cooked (even better with a wok cause you can aerate it and fry them evenly).
    The noodles will now have soaked up mostly sauce instead of water giving the noodles a delightful, extra chewiness, coated evenly in the thick and flavorful sauce.
    Enjoy the result

    I've tried many of the Buldak ramens and I would say that they're all good, but I kinda wish they all tasted more like the flavor they're all going for. That base buldak sauce that's in all of them is just so damn strong that it overtakes whatever flavor they are going for. They all taste almost identical to me because the unique flavor of each one is so subtle that it's hard to differentiate them. Having said that, I felt that the curry flavor on this one came through more than the flavors of all of the other ones and I quite liked it. Maybe it's just because I'm such a sucker for curry.

    I am surprised that you didn't find that it was closer to Japanese curry. We're just whities but we try to not eat the same food every day. We've had a fair range of Indian/adjacent curries (restaurant, package, and home made), and the second that sweet curry smell hit me with these SamYang noodles we pegged it as inspired by the Japanese-style S&B Golden Curry, more than any Indian or "Chinese" curries we've ever had. We always keep a box of S&B Hot around, and the Buldak Curry was our favorite for a while (though that jjajang is 👌). I found the Nissin Curry cups to be closer to Chinese takeout curry, for the record.
    When my friends ask about the S&B or SamYang curry flavors, I just relate them to one another. Though I will concede the recent packaging update (featured in your video) features a "flying carpet" rotti bread and a head wrap. The older package was more gold than orange and featured a lamp that was reminiscent of the curry boat on the S&B packaging.
    At any rate, I'm not arguing with you... Just being an inquisitive foodie 😅

    • @soylencer
      @soylencer 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jghost9 what makes it even worse, is that you don't get any of the flavor that way, you just get spicy blubbery wet noodles. You get all the bad and none of the good, sticky savory sauce with hot springy noodles.

    • @soylencer
      @soylencer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Aditya Chhetri Nissin is the main manufacturer of instant noodles, (like Cup Noodles and Top Ramen packets). They mostly make "add 2 cups of water, boil, and add seasoning." And because of the ubiquity of instant ramen in the US (with Nissin and Maruchan being about the only ramen you could buy in grocery store until recently) people assume that all instant noodles are made the same way. In general, I find a lot of people don't read instructions anyway, and then like to complain about things.

    • @soylencer
      @soylencer 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Aditya Chhetri it's even worse when they break the brick down the middle because they're usually folded over, so they end up with half a pot of 4 inch noodles and half 8 inch noodles 😅 at least crack it from the edge so they're the same length. My dad cracks them into shards in the bag with a spoon 😮‍💨

    Just binged all your samyang noodle videos after watching your chapaguri video... Love them all 😄😸 Your spice tolerance is very good because my tolerance is not good. And I've been eating samyang noodles for more than a few years now and it still kicks my butt lol my fave flavors is the carbo and the creamy carbo... Kinda sad the creamy carbo isn't sold in stores and they recently stopped selling them on Amazon 😞 but anyway, can't wait for your 3x noodle video 😆 try coat your stomach with food or maybe even pepto bismol before having that one if you remember.
