Fitted a cassette player to my Fiat Strada in '84 and played this tape over and over on a trip from Bristol to Poole. Learnt to windsurf, found a nudist beach. Great times.
Perfect song for walking in the city streets day or night. Thank you for posting. It took me more than 35 years to find this song. All I can finally say is. Thank you.
@@evieraotacon He can't, you only told him the correct word, and prodigal son is the reason I looked it up, I'm 30 and love Miami vice, I have the DVD's and watch the series. If curious about their songs, the lists are on Google. Great times, great era.
Know what you mean, my ex took all my record collection which had all my Fashion stuff...... So so sad Brilliant album, memories of fantastic times with the band are flooding back especially with Mulligan. Thanks for posting this at least I can now hear some of the album!
Great uploading, i never heard before the extended version. The last section is strongly influenced by Giorgio Moroder's From Here To Eternity, those electronic speedy hits still speak about how much different was this amazing band in the early '80's british scene.
Hmm that's sad but pleased you enjoyed it, great band. Hopefully they'll do a comprehensive re-release of the album with all the extras some time. If not, lots of it can be found on various sites.
All glitter in black In a black Cadillac Living in dreams It’s only a fantasy Playing your part You stumble your lines And turning the night You smile to the camera Ooh Liar (liar) Only for a fool You’re a gypsy telling a story Camouflage truths Enclosed by a future Play to the crowd You rise to an ovation And crushing the rose You smile to the camera Ooh liar (liar) Lost in the crowd By visual obstruction Only inane A fictional ruse Covered by hand In monochrome field And leaving the set You smile to the camera
Yes same thing happened to mine but I was unable to download all the original tracks again a couple of years back. Would be great if they could re-release it
First heard this when Crockett and Tubbs came roaring out of that garage in Miami Vice season two opener.......classic!

First heard this single back when it first came out in 82'...lost my freaking mind!!!

Best version on the web! Thanks for posting. This, the long version.
No problem, what a great album this was, especially the extended cassette edition
