If My life had a soundtrack, this would be it, from one video, on Mtv, when I was a very young girl,to this all these years later, memories of my family, and my beautiful city.
Discovered this so under rated album in 1984 whilst in 2nd year Polytechnic. Unfortunately no one else in the house I was sharing got the brilliance of it.
Heard the album 1 st time when I was 17 years. Now 33 years later I find it again here. I love all songs of that album. How could I live whitout that music? I feel soooo......Icould cry Thank you @ 76 sprinter
New 2CD 'Remastered' version of 'Fabrique' out Summer 2017. All re-production work done by Dave (Dee) Harris. Also released around the same time will be the newly 'Remastered' 2CD version Dave's album he made with Richard Wright of Pink Floyd as 'ZEE' called 'Identity'. More information can be found on the 'Fashion-Fabrique' facebook page and the 'ZEE' facebook page.
I loved this album. The mood was hypnotic. DEE, the lead singer, really brought it to the table. His absence on Twilight of Idols put that album in a whole other mood. Fabrique is the album to explore. I bought every single off Fabrique.
this is perhaps the best track on the excellent "fabrique" album, somewhat eerily lyrically prophesing dee harris's sudden departure from the band after all the hard work they had put in to nearly make it!
Dee (Dave) Harris is alive and well and looking to release some new songs in 2016. After Fashion he made an album as ZEE with Richard Wright of Pink Floyd and after that spent most of his time as a producer. He has appeared on quite a few other artists songs as guest vocals (Sandii & Sunsetz, Re-Flex to name two) did some colabs with Brenda Bennett & made a few solo singles including a rework of the Fashion song 'Love Shadow' as De Harris. He is currently re-mixing the ZEE album with a view to a future 'deluxe' reissue.
Through a friend, I had some tapes of him singing with Frankie Goes to Hollywood after Holly Johnson left. He and the band sounded brilliant. Unfortunately, it never went any further than demo tapes
Purchased this album fro True Vine in Baltimore after buying the previous album from Trax On Wax in Catonsville, MD. Two best purchases I made in a while. Dynamic band on all levels. Way ahead of their time.
:) Wow! Thanks for sharing this! Any chance of seeing "White Stuff" up here sometime? Remember seeing it in a popular cop show from the '80s...Thank you!

"I think of you every time I play this," Charles admitted to Sandra as he looked over Central Park from the view of empty penthouse they once called home.
I think d artist (prince)wrote some tracks n probably produced d album, but may be I am wrong,I used to play this album, before I went to the kings cross london club(fabrique)as this album was called(fabrique)what a lovely french word.
+beethoven wagner bach motzart Your wrong, Prince had nothing to do with the album. German producer Zeus B produced the 'Fabrique' album in Germany using as then 'state of the art' studio technology. Dee played most of the instruments on the album. His then wife Gina X sang on one of the songs. Dee Harris worked with Prince several years later.
@@nigellockedoutofphone2265 Great time to be in your late teens/early twenties. Hostaria, Holy city zoo, Rum Runner etc were a bit of a culture shock for a couple of lads that grew up in a small village between Birmingham and Coventry.
@@thurlastonjones1148 Yeah, I went to them all! Then ended up a House fanatic, The Institute, Wobble, Bakers, TinTin's, even better times! Early 90s onwards. So shite these days!
Listening to Fashion brings me back to the UK and some incredible nights full of passion. I was 14 and we seduced each other. Before I flew home, I bought both records
The best album ever made, Fabrique,Every song is unbelievable!

Ahead of its time.
Totally agree

Turned on to this group watching Miami Vice. So jazz cool.
Love the sound of that guitar and the keyboards/synths in this song.

Do You Wanna Make Love is equally beautiful!
Criminally underrated group.
These Guys Were Untouchable. I Miss Them. Their Mystery. Their Cool Fire.
This sounds so much better than it does on my old 2nd hand tape!
Love this tune. Such a great yet underrated band.

This band is far ahead of many others. They may not even have understood themselves what gem they created at the time.
Fantastic Classic. Hard to match for todays fools.
Sounds like this should be for a future Michael Mann film

Did he produce any well-known albums? Just curious.
My all time favourite album but I'm biased .... Mulligan and I had some fantastic times back in 82

yes to this day ..unique...
Don't normally dig guitar solos, but this one is so sleek and sexy. Delicious.
This album is Epic & underrated...I have this vinyl & looking forward to getting all of there albums on vinyl.
Are the vinyl albums difficult to get hold of?
I worked with Alan Darby, a later member of the group. And can confirm that it was Dik Davis the drummer, who died of a drugs overdose.
Just discovered this track right down my street
They always had ‘it’…and they still do…🔥
Available from Amazon uk I'm sure they deliver to Thailand treat yourself still one of my tp 3 favourite albums

Fantastic!
I used to go there too and I saw these play live at the Odeon in Brum
@@nigellockedoutofphone2265 I went to that gig too. Post Dee Harris. At the time of the twilight of idols album.
