Welcome to the channel all of you. I just got back into town after going to my brother's wedding this last weekend. I'm in the middle of setting up the shooting location and doing all the logistics to begin bringing this back to life. Thank you all for your support and patience. More videos to come.
Paper Beats Rock I got a 78 f-150 camper special that’s been in my family since it was bought new in omak. Now it sits beside my house here in Bellevue under a carport with a blown 351M that I need to rebuild eventually. Really looking forward to seeing your progress with your bronco
I have a 78 f100 ranger xlt shortbed that I’ve owned since 1994. It has a 302 with c6 transmission and a 9 inch rear with 3.25 gear. Motor has a blown head gasket and it’s quite rusty but is restorable. I’d like to sell the truck to someone that will restore it. Any ideas or contacts you could share? Thanks in advance.
I own a 1978 Bronco bought it in 2018 as a rollover just body and frame no drive train .My 12 year old son and I dismantled my 77 F250 that I’ve had since I was 17 to put the Bronco together. We finished it in June of 2019 . So now it a 3/4 ton Bronco with a 460 . He was so happy and excited and very proud to ride in it . All that hard work paid off to make those kind of memorable times . I wish the same for you with your bronco. They are so fun to drive they’re a awesome vehicle .Can’t wait to watch the progress

Just learned about that car the other day and I gotta say if'll ever wanna buy a bigger car, it'll be a Ford Bronco convertible in baby blue, Looking forward to the other episodes
Thank you for your service brother. As for the 460. stay with a automatic transmission. If you have one behind your 351m it will built right up but you will need to change your flywheel. Engine mount will need to be modified or changed as well. So people say you have to cut the frame to get it to fit but that's not true at all, its all in the motor mounts. Its pretty straight forward and a huge upgrade from the 351m. I highly recommend.
@@PaperBeatsRock Thank you. I hope you keep this build and have fun with it. Keep on restoring your first truck. I'm all support for you and your channel
Oh, bud I recently found out what that emblem stood for. been wondering that since day one of owning it. I'm pretty sure ill be keeping it but if things change ill keep you posted.

Hey Felix, Talking about the bronco to people and then hearing them talk about their rides gets me really hyped. Thank you so much for the sub brother and say warm down there in Amarillo. Spring is coming.
Hey man, I'm curious what it takes to do That swap, I got a 78 351m 4spd bronco and I'm trying to do a 460 Swap and I'm not sure what's different with the 351m
So the swap is pretty straightforward. You just need a 460, the motor mounts for an F350 460 from the same era. The hard part is getting your 4 speed mounted up to the 460. There was never a factory application that had a 460 mounted to the 4 speed. It did not tell the 80s that the 460 had a manual behind it and then it was a 5 speed. I'm not saying it can't be done and many people have. but it's a bit more expensive and time-consuming piecing it all together. I will have to do a video about that build and what's needed.
Door jams, and under the hood is the most common locations I have seen. If it's been setting in a dry area, not on grass then even the undercarriage but most of the time that is too low. Do you get a bee problem?
@@Thegpguy nice bud. Yeat just get a can of starting fluid and it kills bees on contact. Amazing stuff. What ever you got left over use on the truck lol
That's a possibility. We have been kicking around different power plant ideas. 5.9 12 valve, 7.3 powerstroke, 6.0 powerstroke, 427 Cobra Jet, 429 boss, coyote or just keep the 460. Its something that will have to be addressed soonish. and honestly, the bigger this gets the more the options open up.

I would love to see that bronco running
I came from til tok so this is cool
Hell yes, man. I love my TikTok people. You're the ones that made this happen.

Oh, bud I recently found out what that emblem stood for. been wondering that since day one of owning it. I'm pretty sure ill be keeping it but if things change ill keep you posted.
@@PaperBeatsRock the swing out rec mirrors on the doors is a dead giveaway, they olny came on ts's, the windows in the topper are pretty rare also, i have the same truck but mine is 79. I will be watching with great interest. Thanks
@@HaventHerd307 Yeah Coni I did a full geek out dive on learning up on the trailer specials. Pretty damn cool stuff. I'm pretty sure mine was rated for 6,000 pounds and not the 2,000 pounds.
You have any queries, let me know, im pretty sure i know Every nut and bolt and paint code 73-79 ford truck and ute ever, plus styling package, dealer ops. I am sure of that.
Also, you would be greatly rewarded to keep the body as stock or as close to factory as possible, badass underneath, original overall, same color, same mirrors, same factory look. Same interior, jack it up underneath, thats all, $60000.00 truck all day.....
Subscribing for this one! Do it right man. I’m currently restoring my 91 bronco. I’ll be done this year. Let’s compare Horses......
Hell yes, bud. I would love to see what you're doing with your beast.
Thats Phils shop?
No this is the old Fireview stove warehouse out in Wimer. My buddy Stuart runs Rogue Diesel and Equipment out of it now.
@@PaperBeatsRock looks like a great place for a restoration project!

Hey Felix, Talking about the bronco to people and then hearing them talk about their rides gets me really hyped. Thank you so much for the sub brother and say warm down there in Amarillo. Spring is coming.
Where are you located? I have a cheap, freshly rebuilt 460
Southern Oregon out of Rogue River.
Paper Beats Rock too bad I’m located in the midwest. Good luck with your project :)
@@chrisbaudoux9879 Thank you so much.
Hey man, I'm curious what it takes to do
That swap, I got a 78 351m 4spd bronco and I'm trying to do a 460
Swap and I'm not sure what's different with the 351m
So the swap is pretty straightforward. You just need a 460, the motor mounts for an F350 460 from the same era. The hard part is getting your 4 speed mounted up to the 460. There was never a factory application that had a 460 mounted to the 4 speed. It did not tell the 80s that the 460 had a manual behind it and then it was a 5 speed.
I'm not saying it can't be done and many people have. but it's a bit more expensive and time-consuming piecing it all together. I will have to do a video about that build and what's needed.
Came from tiktok
Looks like it has factory air, Nice! Does it have power steering?
Yes it does. It pretty much has every option on it besides the very rare Ford CB unit.
Where are the common bee nest locations I think I might buy a 79
Door jams, and under the hood is the most common locations I have seen. If it's been setting in a dry area, not on grass then even the undercarriage but most of the time that is too low. Do you get a bee problem?
@@PaperBeatsRock kinda I live in pa
@@PaperBeatsRock it has been sitting in a field for year and I want to buy it it is a 79 ford
@@Thegpguy nice bud. Yeat just get a can of starting fluid and it kills bees on contact. Amazing stuff. What ever you got left over use on the truck lol
My uncle Donny had a 78 bronco he wrecked it in a drunk driving accident couldn't be repaired sadly
Damn John, I'm sorry to hear that. More and more of them are disappearing all the time.
Here haw
Hell yes. Thank you
You sirrr was on TikTok
Thank you so much for coming over. The outreach of support has truly been amazing and really pumps me up. Thank you again.
So your in Rogue River? I live in Merlin. Have fun with the truck I've got a ranger .,
Long live the Rogue Valley! That's badass bud. May have to meet up at some point. Glad you found your way to the channel.
I’m the 6000th sub🥳
Am I the only won who thinks he sounds like TimTheTatman
Hahah thanks man. Heard a few others say that. Now if only I was baller like Tim Allen.
12v swap?
That's a possibility. We have been kicking around different power plant ideas. 5.9 12 valve, 7.3 powerstroke, 6.0 powerstroke, 427 Cobra Jet, 429 boss, coyote or just keep the 460. Its something that will have to be addressed soonish. and honestly, the bigger this gets the more the options open up.
