*CORRECTION* As pointed by a couple of users, Calendar CAN be synchronized with Google Calendar, but it needs to be done manually. Thanks to the viewers that pointed out that mistake :)
Well nuts, I missed this message after I posted a big long blah-blah-blah about lack of calendar integration makes no sense. 😅I could live with manual synchronization as that does fit with the "focus" theme. Thank you for adding this note!!!
After I posted a link at the Supernote reddit, Ratta commented: "We have carefully recorded the cons pointed out by Voja in order to improve them in the next work. We must learn from Voja’s extremely rigorous, meticulous, and fair spirit."
O.o No pressure :D But good thing to hear that they are, as always, listening to the community. That being said, they really did make a fantastic device. A bit more refinement in the software area, and it'll be super duper :)
You do go into details and take on a more technical review than most folks who look at the checkboxes vs. the intangibles in a more 'feels' and 'vibe' way. I mean, honestly, it's really REALLY hard to convey how screens will feel drawing on them. I use the RM2, and while the original pen is okay, I found accuracy is there, but you need a Staedtler Jumbo with it's soft and super pointy nib. Once I got that, how I put marks on paper felt just right. The nib makes ALL the difference, really. I think the screen is kind of...like you can't change the screen, but you can change the nib.
Thanks! I have just bought a Nomad because I wanted a small notebook - despite the excitement about the Manta. Your video is really useful but also entertaining because of your natural enthusiasm.
Finally a “Deep Guide” worthy of the title. Thanks, I got mine a few days ago and am still learning the details of the device. But am extremely impressed with the quality and functionality of it.
Awesome review, Voja! A million thanks for the time and effort you spent on this video. It is my first e-ink tablet after thinking for many years of purchasing the version 1 Remarkable. I waited years because I thought it was a lot of money to spend on such a focused device. Lately however, I have was thinking that my efficiency and my follow up on ideas would be better if I had all my notes in one space. I decided it is the time. After a watching a handful of TH-cam reviews, I purchased the A6X2 and I am extremely satisfied. I use it for note taking both for personal and work. Bottom line for me is, for those who like making notes and want to have improved organization, I highly recommend it. The e-book reader I think is good in my opinion but I still prefer paper books. Thank you again.
Hi! Can you edit a typed up text or a text converted from handwriting? I'd like an eye friendly device to all my creative writing on but I need to allow me to go back and edit and rewrite pages and paragraphs. Marking up documents is not enough in this case.
Thank you so much for you videos! I watched this when I had narrowed down two different e-inks and decided on this one. Just got it and love it. Hey the clacky white pen issue seems to be fixed. I almost called them to change to a different pen after I had put in my order. But decided to just go with it. Mine doesn't make any clacky noise. It does make a noise when I touch the screen, but that one doesn't bother me. I heard people say the screen is sticky or something. I'm not noticing that. Like how it writes. I also love this size. Maybe not for everyone, but I like it.
This excellent video is much more than a review, Mr Voja. Your exposition works, for me at least, as an invaluable, practical demonstration of the User Manual (inbuilt on my recently acquired Crystal version). I am delighted with the device, and as I learn better to use it, sense that it reciprocates. As you imply, its functionality and emotional impact both carry weight in one's forming an impression. Thanks.
Brilliant, I've had my A5X for nearly a year now yet leaned a few things I wasn't aware of while watching this video. Thanks Voja, it was your videos that convinced me that I needed a Supernote and haven't regretted my decision since, no, not even once but its revolutionised the way I study.
My compliments on a very good and rigorous review. I am new to devices like this so this is extremely useful to me. Of course also hats off to Ratta for conceiving such a great tool!
We see the answer to what would happen if Remarkable allocated half of its advertising budget to innovations in software and customer satisfaction. Supernote has undoubtedly taken a significant lead.
Thank you so much for this in-depth guide. It's exactly as you say - for a product that I cannot try out in a store that costs 30€ in shipping alone, your detailed descriptions of the writing surface and analysis of the pen lag are invaluable to me. It's pricy but I'll allow myself to get one once I'm finally done with some tedious business I've been putting off. Win-win :D
Big thanks for going into detail about the writting experience (light hand vs heavy hand and nib types). This may be my biggest fear: spending hundreds of dollars and getting very excited about a product and then being disappointed when it's not at all what you expected. You're right, you can't try it in stores so this is a bit if a gamble.
What an absolutely incredible resource. Thank you so much for the time and effort. Really appreciate it. Just got back to pen and paper (after being digital only) and trying to figure out if I should get a supernote. Truly great stuff. Thanks again
I would like to discuss the differences between the white and crystal versions: Both devices are not suitable for frequent changing of the micro SD card. The white version also requires courage (!) and skill and tools (a thin plastic or wooden spade if you don't want bleeding fingernails). With the white version, it is very important that you first lever up all the plastic tabs on the narrow, lower side with the spatula - and then push the cover downwards (!) and do not try to tear up the plastic clips on the two long sides (with enough force they would break). The Crystal version can be opened completely without force, only the re-assembling (positioning the switch and magnets) requires skill and patience. I prefer the "force-free" version. - But now to the biggest disadvantage of the white version: because the back cover is only held in place by inserted clips, the case makes creaking noises when writing due to the pressure of the palm of your hand (no, these are not caused by the folded leather cover). Whereas we have a firm connection with the screwed Crystal version. Incidentally, the creaking noises can be minimised by sticking in 2-3 layers of small Post-It notes. - Thanks Voja for your incredibly careful and helpful work!
Thank you for that bit, albeit very important, information. I am quite OC about things like that so i deeply appreciate your input. These are the small things people never report. I would not want something annoying like creaking noises with me for as long as i own something. It’s like a creaking springy bed. Thank you!!!!😊
Voja - great video and content! After watching, I was reminded of the tremendous benefits of incorporating the MDO into a note. However, I feel like the real time text conversion is an important benefit. Have you considered trying to quantify the impact of text recognition in a note of that size? I just picture the processor repeatedly going through a conversion process on a larger document like that might be a larger impact? Thanks for all the info and your epic efforts!
From what I've seen elsewhere, a lot of the people who initially reported a problem with the Feelwrite 2 surface feeling too grippy, have said that it goes away after a few hours of use and becomes smooth again. Almost as if the screen has been 'broken in'.
Ordered mine over a week ago bc stocks were out in Europe so im patiently waiting! Thanks for recommending and now showing me the joys of supernote. I can’t wait to finally receive mine…hopefully later this week
Hey Voja, Great review for a truly awesome eink tablet :) I just wanted to mention that the SN calendar can sync with Google or Outlook calendars (text events only, not handwriting). You also have to sync it manually. Also, I was a little confused as to why Ratta chose to use undo/redo for the swipe up/down on the left bar because the bar is right next to the undo/redo buttons (for users that haven't moved the toolbar). Therefore its no easier (for me, anyway) to swipe up/down rather than just tap the button.
Dude, you need to have your own Netflix series!!!! Absolutely love your detailed videos - I am biased and love the Supernote too, you explain things incredibly well. Thank you! I am trying to come up with a justifiable excuse to get this even though my A5X is still serving me well.
I love your channel, it's been invaluable in educating me about all the options out there. In this case you were really selling me on this device right up until the calendar. Speaking as a dev, if this device already has the programming to authorize gMail integration there's no excuse for it not to have the same with the calendar. If this device didn't have any email integration at all I could see the lack of calendar integration as a "focus" choice, but to have one and not the other makes no sense to me. A real shame, I was digging this one.
Hey, great video as always! I have one request that is often partly covered but I couldn't find a video that goes in depth: reading, editing and exporting PDFs. You covered here a big chunk of it on the A6X2. But do you think you could make a comparison video of how different devices deal with that? So basically zooming and scrolling, taking notes, if they are searchable on a computer, how the export to the computer works, if the links work on a computer... Could you also give an explanation or a guess what might be the reason that one needs to take the detour of making the PDF a template and why SN wouldn't just allow text recognition and links on a PDF? I am particularly interested in the devices SN A6X2 (/ A5X2), the Boox NA3 and the rM2, but the others are welcome too :) thank you!
I enjoy your videos and have learned quite a bit from them. You mentioned the calendar cannot sync with Google calendar. That is not completely accurate as you are able to sync with Google calendar. It is a manual sync, but does work.
Fantastic and very deep guide!! Incredible effort putting this together, thank you! My Nomad just arrived, it’s my first supernote device having replaced my kindle scribe. Initial impression is the lack of pen tools with only 2 as options, is there a way to install calligraphy / fountain tool to the device? Thank again
No way to install different pen tools :/ I read from a Ratta employee that they are planning on adding pen tools with tilt function, like calligraphy, but they haven't yet due to technical difficulties
It’s interesting you say it’s a flush surface from the screen to the bezel. On mine, there is a somewhat annoying small, “sharp”, lip that my hand feels when resting on it.
Thanks Voja. I have Remarkable 2, Mobiscribe Origin. Boox Note Air C as well as various iPads w/ Paperlike, various Nibs, etc. Supernote Nomad: So light and portable. Ceramic nib so good for fine and small writing. Small device. No zoom? Pages and folders managment and overview views lack sophistication. More challenging to move around quickly without thumbnails within folders. This device confirms for me that I prefer letter-sized and larger devices despite the great portability of the Nomad.
Hope supernote will make better way of working with PDFs in play with other devices on ones workflow. Love the write feeling as prefer gel pen like vs scratchy pencil like. Got one few weeks ago.
After watching many videos on e-ink tables i come up with three e-ink tablets Supernote nomad, Kindle scribe and remarkable 2. With your help i finally decided to buy Supernote nomad, though i am in india and its unavailable right now. Shipping to India is also unavailable in their website so i asked my friend in US to buy it for me. Hope i can update software from india if needed. This is my first ever e-ink tablet. So excited!! Thank you ❤
Thank you and those viewers for the important note about strong writing-pressure -> writing feel sucks. What are eink recommendations for ppl with the "heavy hand"?
Well, you will have a difficult time getting the best out of an e-ink device if you have a very heavy hand, as you will not be able to fully utilize the benefits and beauty of pressure sensitivity. My recommendation would be devices with a hard surface, such as with some form of either pre or post applied screen protector for protection of the screen. This means basically anything other than Supernote, Sony, Quaderno, or Mobiscribe devices should work fine. This also means that you should avoid using hard nibs, and unfortunately, that you will go through soft nibs a lot more quickly than if you would write with less pressure, meaning increased cost of usage over time.
@@MyDeepGuide Thanks, I will definitely keep your points in mind. and I am disappointed, I might have to compromise too much or keep waiting for the right product. controllers buckle under my finger pressure , keyboards survive , and all attempts to reeducate fail - my fingers just express intenal tension :) I love that you responded to my question, I feel few reviewers do so. have a great day.
CON: As a reader, Kindle is great, but please add Kobo and, more importantly, Libby! Pocket or something similar would be a huge bonus. Please. Pretty please.
Awesome video again, would you go for a Note air 3, Note air 3c or this one? Use case will be making notes, reading and making notes in ebooks and pdfs for study purposes. Thanks!
40:35 the tablet could sense the tilt of the stylus, but this is a software or firmware feature that they haven't implemented yet due to technical challenges, according to one of the staff on Reddit Edit: it sounds like you are also saying that we could see tilt sensitive tools in the future with this device, the X series, and the same styluses
Yes, any device with a Wacom EMR layer can interpret tilt, hardware wise. Software wise, well, that's the development team's task to implement it properly and find a good use case for it. For example, you can see examples of excellent tilt implementation in Remarkable 2 and Kindle Scribe, and just plain bad implementation on Boox devices.
Thanks for the video! Did you happen to notice any speed differences in terms of rendering pages/opening documents between this and the A6X? I was originally going to wait for the A5X2 as I currently use the A5X but the auto-rotate functionality might make the additional screen real estate less important for me personally. If there's a noticeable speed increase, I'm pretty much sold.
Thanks a lot for the great review! I'm waiting for the a5x2 and then I'll become a proud owner of a Supernote! Quick question: can the user disassemble the power switch also in the white version, or only in the crystal (due to the screws)? Thanks!
I just got my A6x2 nomad and i way prefer remarkable 2 so far. maybe i just need to get used to it but i have extreme buyers remorse. i guess i write hard because it is almost unusably grippy and when i write litter it does not pickup some of my dots on the "i" or the slash on a "t" and so on. its just really grippy which sucks for me because i just returned my remarkable 2 and no i wish i had kept it but i will try it out for a week or so and see if i get used to it before returning. I may get the Box next
Have you tried it with a titanium-alloy nib pen? You wouldn't have to worry about scratching it because ceramic is harder than titanium alloy. Also, it is far less brittle than ceramic so it's less prone to breakage. Do you have any idea what kind of ceramic material is used in the nib? I suspect it might be zirconia.
Found this on Good E-Reader review of the Ceramic Pen: "Supernote stated that “During countless experiments, we tested high-hardness materials such as stainless steel, nickel-titanium alloys, and finally found the flexural strength of zirconia ceramic 1100 with a hardness of 88-90 HRA (Rockwell hardness), which is close to the hardness of sapphire and is fit as synthetic material for the tip of electromagnetic digital pens."
Thank you for the review! I'm curious, if you - or anyone - had the device shipped outside of the US, did you have to pay duties and such or are those included in the device price the way they are with Remarkable 2? And, any info on when the A5 version will be coming out?
Thank you for the detailed review! I wonder why the Crystal option isn't available on the EU website only the U.S. website. EDIT: It is available now on the EU website. It wasn't initially.
Beautiful device, It would be a huge plus if at least an .APK file could be loaded so as to have a choice of e-pub reader for example. Personally speaking I keeping my fingers crossed for an A4 13.3" crystal model to replace my Book Max 3.
@@rescueferret8834 That is good news and very encouraging, while Play Store is useful it is not strictly necessary but I do have my favourite and very useful android apps that I would prefer to keep.
Looks very cool and is tempting. Unfortunately, my company doesn't allow syncing with anything other than an Apple or Samsung or Google device. That's why I use an iPad mini with OneNote.
@@markrome9702 how is that too much of a hassle lol. It’s just as easy as putting it in a Google drive and if you can email, you can access Google drive. If not from your work computer, your phone.
Thank you for posting such informative videos. One of my use cases is meeting notes for work. What I’d like to do is have my actual calendar imported into an eink device and have my notes associated with that meeting. My second use case is making notes on pdfs ( predominantly from my email and in some cases from web). Finally I’d love my first page or screen saver on device to be an agenda of my day Can Supernote address these use cases? Thank you 🙏🏽
Only started watching the review, and only past the design and build section. I'll probably edit this comment or comment some more to help with the youtube algorithm lol. With that out of the way, at that point, I'm thinking this seems like the best more affordable writing-only e-paper device. And judging by your previous coverage of the supernotes, it seems like Ratta will take care of their customers at least with software updates. Regarding the non crystal version, maybe we can hope or push Ratta to sell an alternative cover that has a x-ray view back cover to mimic having a crystal case version. now back to the video! Edit: from the early explanation on the side sensors, I like the part where you said if you swipe up or down the left bar, you can quickly flip through a book / document like how you would thumb flip a real book. Edit 2: I'm convinced with the A6X2. I've always been looking into a e-notepad but like I've always wanted it a bit more like how onyx does it. but maybe, it is best that an e-notepad remains focused on writing and reading books. probably would be nice to have the choice to sideload some FOSS apps I've seen developed for e-paper devices though.
Great video, as always. thank you! i tried the Supernote last year and ultimately stuck with the Remarkable 2 because i like the physical experience of the RM2 better than the SN (which to me felt too soft when taking notes). I liked the overall brighhter screen of the SN much better thought. Is this Nomad a more improved writing experience when taking notes compared to previous models? thank you!
I saw this addressed in the video; thank you! I'm guessing this might not be ideal, as i tend to write with a lot of pressure. I do with the Remarkable 2 (which i own) had a brighter looking screen and the functionality of the Supernote. thx again!
Wonderful videos! Thank you. I am looking for my first e ink tablet to replace my notebook. I mostly take notes for work. I’d like to be able to search notes quickly. I was considering the Remarkable 2, Noe Air 3C, or a Supernote. Ant input based on my use case?
Adding a comment to support Vojislav - thank you for your thorough work, always! PS: In the calendar, is it possible to add notes to specific events (e.g. meeting notes for specific meetings during that time)?
Hello, I was wondering if a6x2 is snappier in feel in note taking and reading than note air 3 c. Because from what I can see on the video it’s more intuitive and comfortable than note air 3 c, but if note air 3c is faster, then the fact that it is more complex becomes not such an issue. Thanks for help
Unfortunately the lack of backlight is a deal breaker for me. I travel with my reader/writer and don’t always have control of the brightness of my surroundings. Using beside a partner before sleep is also a common use case.
I know it's focused on writing, but still asking if you would suggest it for reading and annotation? Planning to upgrade from boox nova air as the display started fading more and more for the last two weeks. Don't need too many android app support and wanted a simpler option. Need note taking and loved the writing feeling of supernote when I tried one of my neighbours. Specially loved the digest function as it saves handwritten notes with the book text too. Was wondering how kindle reading experience is and also if 5he digests save according to books separately or puts everything together even though the annotations are from different documents.
Thanks for the truly awesome review. So much information here that has helped me make some decisions on whether or not the Nomad is right for me. One question for you though...you say that the pens lacking a button is an issue for you, so you use another pen instead. Which pen do you use? Or which would you recommend that has a button? Thanks a bunch!
Thanks to your review, Voja, I'm dreaming of a device designed by reMarkable which is powered by the software from supernote. Because I guess I won't like the feel of the supernote surface...
Can you compare the pure reading aspect of the A6X2 with the similar sized readers, say, the BOOX Page at the low end, and more importantly, the Sage on the upper hand? I need to replace my Kobo Forma and I don't know if I should wait for the Sage 2E whenever it comes or go with the A6X2 now? Or is the A6X2 primarily for notetaking?
Can't wait for the A4, either the slim or the X2! I do have a few wishes, like better/faster hardware, color, and light. However, I've been super happy with my Max3 device for years, and it has none of those things. The supernote platform itself might be enough to make me jump.
There is not much demand for a 13.3" screen, seemingly, and the competition has dwindled somewhat. If Ratta has.any plans they are keeping them under wraps
@@edwardbryan5154 If you go to the Supernote subreddit, search for the thread titled "Some information about hardwares in 2022-2023" and find the comment from the user hex2asc with the timeline
How cool is that: I am waiting for my new Supernote Nomad to be delivered today and can watch your review to prepare while waiting 😊 By the way I purchased your Planer too to support your channel and your independence although I already have a digital planer for 2024, thank you for your efforts!
I've been avoiding watching this video. I already know I want an A6x2 and this is going drive me into obsession. I'm crying in poor $$ rn 😭 (it's number 3 on my big purchase wish list...priorities)
Many thanks for your deep reviews. But help, what should I do? I don't know whether to buy Supernote A6X2 or Boox Note Air 3C. I'm mainly looking for something for work and study.
Its wasn't clear..Is ALL handwriting searchable globally? Or do we have to create a real time recognition document for handwriting for it to be searchable? E.g. if i have 10 notebooks with 50 pages each of handwriting... can I do a global search of the handwriting? Does the search take long?
These e-ink devices could be extremely useful to scientists and engineers like me if they accommodate and recognise mathematics. Basically the device would need to have an onboard LaTeX engine. Does this exist anywhere? If so the science community would adopt these devices in the blink of an eye.
Yes it does, you can look into Kobo Elipsa 2. It should be able to do these things. Unfortunately, it really is bad at bare functionality things, such as, Abysmal pen precision and, well... Everything about the pen...
Hi a few things, there is side loading APK files via ADB, email and calendar can be synced. and then 2 questions, does it support writing with a BT keyboard? and can you write something with BT keyboard and then continue from your computer e.g. on g drive? and can you read CBZ mangas ? and epub books?
Yes, any EMR pen will work with any device that has a Wacom layer. If you are unsure how the technology works, you check one of my latest videos that covers exactly how EMR pens and tech works :)
Hi Voja, I have a question for you. You pointed out at writing style (heavy or light hand): what you think is the device with the best writing experience for heavy handed guys? Thank you very much!
How much milage can you get out of the native storage (i.e., the 32GB less the amount taken up by the operating system)? That is, if I plan to use this primarily for writing/note taking/reading ebooks, will the native storage be sufficient or should I plan on buying a micro SD card to supplement it?

Interesting! This was also my experience with the original FeelWrite on my A5X (even though I have a light hand) so this makes sense.
Can’t wait for the A5X2!
As always, brilliant in-depth review that I watched and learned quite a bit. I already have A5X and thinking about getting A6X 2 also.
Thank you for this video and your insights! Watched the whole 2 hours and you've helped me reinforce my decision to buy an A5X2 when it's released!
Thank you for watching!
Ordered mine over a week ago bc stocks were out in Europe so im patiently waiting! Thanks for recommending and now showing me the joys of supernote. I can’t wait to finally receive mine…hopefully later this week
Thanks for the detailed review. As always, very informative and concise.
Thanks for the correction, I have now added a pinned comment that mentions this :)
Looking forward to the A5 X2 as a writing and note taking companion to my iPad Pro. 😊
Wouldnyou have any idea when the A5x2 will be out? I was thinking of whether i should get this small one or the bigger one.

Dude, you need to have your own Netflix series!!!! Absolutely love your detailed videos - I am biased and love the Supernote too, you explain things incredibly well. Thank you! I am trying to come up with a justifiable excuse to get this even though my A5X is still serving me well.
Thank you for the extensive and detailed review! Very helpful.
Thank you for your work from Stockholm. It has helped a lot to make a good informed decision on these devices!
1:03:00 as of the last update, they put the manual back on the device!!
Yay!
My apologies for the mistake I made, but it can synchronize with the Google calendar, it is just that the synchronization needs to be done manually.
@@MyDeepGuide No worries at all. Had I taken 30 seconds to look at the comments I would have realized you added the correction 👍
Best review ever!!! Godfather-Status! Thank you very much!
Thanks for the correction, I have now added a pinned comment that mentions this :)
Thank again
No way to install different pen tools :/
I read from a Ratta employee that they are planning on adding pen tools with tilt function, like calligraphy, but they haven't yet due to technical difficulties
@@MyDeepGuide
Thanks, I will definitely keep your points in mind. and I am disappointed, I might have to compromise too much or keep waiting for the right product. controllers buckle under my finger pressure , keyboards survive , and all attempts to reeducate fail - my fingers just express intenal tension :)
I love that you responded to my question, I feel few reviewers do so.
have a great day.
iPad Air 5 with a paper like screen protector will do. @@gidi1899
CON:
As a reader, Kindle is great, but please add Kobo and, more importantly, Libby! Pocket or something similar would be a huge bonus. Please. Pretty please.
I watched the whole 2 hours. Great review, as always.
Great and detailed video, thanks!
Thank you for this!
Awesome video again, would you go for a Note air 3, Note air 3c or this one? Use case will be making notes, reading and making notes in ebooks and pdfs for study purposes. Thanks!
I m also curious answer to this question
You can sync with Google Calendar
Thanks for the correction, I have now added a pinned comment that mentions this :)
Great review. Very helpful. I ordered one, even though I generally prefer larger screens.
40:35 the tablet could sense the tilt of the stylus, but this is a software or firmware feature that they haven't implemented yet due to technical challenges, according to one of the staff on Reddit
Edit: it sounds like you are also saying that we could see tilt sensitive tools in the future with this device, the X series, and the same styluses
Keep going Voya!
Thanks!
Beautiful work always. Thank you
I just got my A6x2 nomad and i way prefer remarkable 2 so far. maybe i just need to get used to it but i have extreme buyers remorse. i guess i write hard because it is almost unusably grippy and when i write litter it does not pickup some of my dots on the "i" or the slash on a "t" and so on. its just really grippy which sucks for me because i just returned my remarkable 2 and no i wish i had kept it but i will try it out for a week or so and see if i get used to it before returning.
Found this on Good E-Reader review of the Ceramic Pen:
"Supernote stated that “During countless experiments, we tested high-hardness materials such as stainless steel, nickel-titanium alloys, and finally found the flexural strength of zirconia ceramic 1100 with a hardness of 88-90 HRA (Rockwell hardness), which is close to the hardness of sapphire and is fit as synthetic material for the tip of electromagnetic digital pens."
Thank you for the review! I'm curious, if you - or anyone - had the device shipped outside of the US, did you have to pay duties and such or are those included in the device price the way they are with Remarkable 2? And, any info on when the A5 version will be coming out?
Ratta wrote on Reddit that the A5x2 will be released in March/April, might want to keep that in mind.
Thank you for the detailed review! I wonder why the Crystal option isn't available on the EU website only the U.S. website. EDIT: It is available now on the EU website. It wasn't initially.
Try using Boox models with BSR in high speed settings, no, e-ink screen responsiveness don't necessarily have to be slow.
You may want to check the content of my channel, because I am quite aware of that 😁
Beautiful device, It would be a huge plus if at least an .APK file could be loaded so as to have a choice of e-pub reader for example. Personally speaking I keeping my fingers crossed for an A4 13.3" crystal model to replace my Book Max 3.
I think they are going to re-enable the workaround for loading apks when they patch some security vulnerabilities
You can synchronize to Google Drive with Supernote.
@@MyDeepGuide Unfortunately, can't access Google drive from my work computer either.
You can also turn off any kind of sync and manually back it up locally ;)
@@MyDeepGuide No can do. USB drive access is also blocked. I could email it to myself but that's just too much of a hassle :(
@@markrome9702 how is that too much of a hassle lol. It’s just as easy as putting it in a Google drive and if you can email, you can access Google drive. If not from your work computer, your phone.
Thank you Voja! Great Video. I'm convinced this will be a great buy. Excited to try it.
I do with the Remarkable 2 (which i own) had a brighter looking screen and the functionality of the Supernote. thx again!
Great review
Wonderful videos! Thank you. I am looking for my first e ink tablet to replace my notebook. I mostly take notes for work. I’d like to be able to search notes quickly. I was considering the Remarkable 2, Noe Air 3C, or a Supernote. Ant input based on my use case?
Adding a comment to support Vojislav - thank you for your thorough work, always!
PS: In the calendar, is it possible to add notes to specific events (e.g. meeting notes for specific meetings during that time)?
You can't link notes and calendar events :/
Hello, I was wondering if a6x2 is snappier in feel in note taking and reading than note air 3 c. Because from what I can see on the video it’s more intuitive and comfortable than note air 3 c, but if note air 3c is faster, then the fact that it is more complex becomes not such an issue. Thanks for help
Also, when you add more layers, does supernote start to besome much slower as note air 3c does
I am light-handed too and I am experiencing stroke skips on my new Nomad (Heart of Metal). Have you experienced this at all?
Unfortunately the lack of backlight is a deal breaker for me. I travel with my reader/writer and don’t always have control of the brightness of my surroundings. Using beside a partner before sleep is also a common use case.
There are many reading lights with adjustable brightness to replace the front light
Great review. Great device. Which languages will it recognize for handwriting recognition?
Or is the A6X2 primarily for notetaking?
wondering if the marker is see through in notes if you want to "underline" a handwritten word.. does anyone know?
Can't wait for the A4, either the slim or the X2! I do have a few wishes, like better/faster hardware, color, and light. However, I've been super happy with my Max3 device for years, and it has none of those things. The supernote platform itself might be enough to make me jump.
There is not much demand for a 13.3" screen, seemingly, and the competition has dwindled somewhat. If Ratta has.any plans they are keeping them under wraps

@MyDeepGuide Can you tell me if your nib on the HOM2 pen has very slight movement when touched with fingertip?
Yes it does every ceramic nib had that.
Thank you so much for the deep review! How is the image quality compared to the Kindle Scribe?
I've been avoiding watching this video. I already know I want an A6x2 and this is going drive me into obsession. I'm crying in poor $$ rn 😭

What’s number 2 and 1 😅
Many thanks for your deep reviews.
Would choose this one over the boox note air3?
You mentioned it doesn’t I regrade with outlook… can you expand as I thought it did sync with outlook?
These e-ink devices could be extremely useful to scientists and engineers like me if they accommodate and recognise mathematics. Basically the device would need to have an onboard LaTeX engine. Does this exist anywhere? If so the science community would adopt these devices in the blink of an eye.
Yes it does, you can look into Kobo Elipsa 2. It should be able to do these things. Unfortunately, it really is bad at bare functionality things, such as, Abysmal pen precision and, well... Everything about the pen...
My Nomad (with corrected back and blue folio) is on the way 🎉 thank you for the amazing review

Native storage is going to be enough.
