Worth mentioning of which I did not realize until after purchase is that turbo on the Arkfeld Pro will only enable when the batter is fresh. Once it drops down to two bars or even three bars sometimes, it will no longer enable which is frustrating.
I've been carrying the edc25 for about the last month. I gotta say I love the controls on it. I'm a maintenance guy that uses a flash light constantly and it has definitely met my needs.
This is some cyberpunk stuff. Little display and everything, ten thousand functions. I'll stick with my 10 year old Fenixes that just work forever, but thanks for the vid, you're great
Ill never buy a nightcore again! Have one of their headlamps that the charge port came loose in. Their customer service was a pain in the ass!. I have several lights from Olight & have never had a issue with any of them
I actually bought the Arkfeld Pro Zombie model and the EDC27 at the same time several months ago. I had been carrying the titanium Olight Arkfeld for about a year at that point, which carries perfectly (and is a perfect match for my titanium Benchmade Bugout) in the watch pocket of my Carhartt pants. I ignored the extra length of both the EDC27 and Ark Pro, but as far as form and features go, I liked the EDC27 a lot more. This was the case even after it melted the base of one of my pistol mags in my pocket within an hour of carrying it. The button placement, screen, form factor, and styling were better on the EDC27 for me, but in the end, I stuck with the Arkfeld Pro because I dropped the EDC27 one time from pocket height in my house, and I guess the back button lost all tactility. I could no longer feel the full or half clicks after a single drop. I chalk this up to a design flaw, but I am sick of having to choose between a functional, good-looking, and reasonably-priced light, and one that's US-made. I sold the EDC27, and within weeks after that, my Zombie Arkfeld disappeared, so I've gone back to the titanium Arkfeld until the Racing version I just ordered last night comes in. The Racing model is the best-looking flashlight I've ever seen, and if Nitecore ever changes its button design, I'll try them again. The EDC27 is a great choice if you can live with that poor button design, and if it weren't for that, I'd still be carrying one.
Nah…I’ll stick with my Arkfeld UV over both. I don’t need a laser, and I definitely don’t need a bad button design and a non-deep carry pocket clip like the edc has.
The true winner: TrustFire Mini X3! Gave away my EDC27. Despite the lumens, my Stiletto Pro 2 could reach out a bit further with a slightly brighter hotspot vs the flood of the EDC27. I still have a couple Arkfelds but since picking up the Mini X3 they've been replaced. It has a better throw when I want throw and a higher CRI on the flood light than the Warm LED options in the Arkfelds. I hate to say it, but I don't think the EDC27 is a very good light. It gets way too hot way too quick. Just not good with heat. I did like the LED display and the UI, but they'll need to change the head to something a bit better at dispersing heat than simple thin aluminum for me to give it another chance.
I love Olight lights, but loathe their pocket clips! I don’t wear ball caps, and I hate that feature of the clip! I would prefer a stronger flat clip. That’s why I just ordered the EDC 27 the replace my arkfeld pro. The TC-15 and one other smaller edc light that I can’t remember its name / number ruined me for buying a Thrunite ever again. I like the wuben brand of lights as a budget brand also. I will be holding out hope Olight goes away from the ball cap feature on their pocket clips. That feature alone is going to prevent me from making future purchases of their EDC lights. Maybe they will realize office / boardroom folks are also into EDC?
how come my turbo mode is just as bright as the high mode? is there a safety feature that does not let you activate turbo when battery is low like at 50% battery or something?
It should be something like 50ish % brighter at turbo that high .. It can be hard to percieve brightness differences tho as the humn eye adapts to light so fast but you should definalty be able to tell between 400 and 1300 lumens. .actually 1600 kymens should be twice as bright as 400 assuming all else is equal
Strobe mode can be changed. There's a note about it on the olightstore listing. Put it in lockout mode, press button ten times and hold, wait for flash and it's changed.
Just received my Nitecore EDC27 UHi and I love it. I've had the Arkfeld UV and it was nice but I prefer the new edc27 uhi. Just works better for me. The UI is not nearly as hard to use as some say.
idk if it's OLED per se on the Nitecore But, Good point..I got my olight for 68 dollars after tax and shipping and a bonus mini light. so unless you want to be spendy Olight is the win for me . Also I agree I don't need the features But, They are fun to mess with.
Im not sticking up for them but yes. You can always buy the regular version but they always do limited quantities of certain lights. I have 4 batons 2 bc of the colors. Its their thing
I lost interest with olight when I had one crap out dering a natural disaster. Olight replaced the light but it let me down when I needed it the most. I switched to Nebo lights for my EDC. So far I'm 2 years in on multiple different lights as so far I haven't had one single issue. It doesn't hurt that they are half the price of a olight equivalent of the same lights. The only olights I buy now is weapons light but if Nebo starts making those I'll switch completely!
No fancy edits
Just straight to the point
We need more people like you
In lockout mode press button 12 or more times and hold on last press until light flashes twice. Now double click is turbo. 3 clicks is strobe

I have a Arkfeld Pro. It is a bit gadgety but I have a lot of fun with it. For me, the versitility outweighs the lunem total.
Bought both, olight is the only one still working
How long did the nitecore last?
I've been carrying the edc25 for about the last month. I gotta say I love the controls on it. I'm a maintenance guy that uses a flash light constantly and it has definitely met my needs.
Have an older m2r warrior Olight from 2018 still original battery still works well
I love the EDC 27 you don't have to fumble with it to find the power buttons
This is some cyberpunk stuff. Little display and everything, ten thousand functions. I'll stick with my 10 year old Fenixes that just work forever, but thanks for the vid, you're great
Love my PD35 and I have a few of the single AAA i3t’s.
I have both. Love them both.
Ill never buy a nightcore again! Have one of their headlamps that the charge port came loose in. Their customer service was a pain in the ass!. I have several lights from Olight & have never had a issue with any of them
Wurkkos also have the HD01, another alternative to these
not sold on that brand
@@StudatYou should give them a shot. Have mine left in the wash and it still works after it dried out.

Love my Arkfeld Pro. Considering to buy the new edc25. Did you already check that one out? (New button design) Thanks for the comment👍
Nah…I’ll stick with my Arkfeld UV over both. I don’t need a laser, and I definitely don’t need a bad button design and a non-deep carry pocket clip like the edc has.
i dropped my arkfeld pro 160’ down an elevator shaft, still use it every day and it’s perfectly fine!
Olight all day n night
First thing I wanna say is that you can change the click function for strobe 3 or 2 clicks check the instructions

EDC27 takes the win... less gimmicks just a killer light.

I see that Nitecore makes use of the display by displaying the word "Nitecore" on it, lets not let the customer forget he got a Nitecore light.
Great content, need one of those

turbo won’t activate when light is below 3 bars charge
I need one with flashlight.redlight and laser
That’s a nice combo idea.

The choice is clear to me... Streamlight Wedge ....lol simple easy useful type c charger.
Nitecore all the way

Proprietary chargers are always a deal breaker.
Nitecore MT2A Pro takes a dump on both of them.
Easy pick EDC27 has the tail switch the Arkfield does not
OLED displays are expensive and doesn't fits on every flashlight and it push the price up.

get what you pay for I guess, heading into the forest I love knowing the runtime in real time
Olight lost favor with me because it seems like all they release is limited editions.
Im not sticking up for them but yes. You can always buy the regular version but they always do limited quantities of certain lights.

They do this to keep hype going its a good marketing tactic
@jughead8988 things happen they have a life time warranty its a great company
Sadly, both Chinese companies. I wish we could get good stuff from non-Chinese companies. But China has killed competitors in some spaces.
The EDC25 is the one ☝️
