I really like the idea of Ash naturally meeting the despondent younger version of Meowth even before Team Rocket! That and Pikachu being a gift Pokemon Ash and Meowth get to befriend is a super fun twist as well

Yeah I find it difficult to find good what if Pokémon TH-camrs who you can listen to and understand well and not want to rip off your ears and this is a good voice for it.
With Meowth to translate for all of Ash’s future Pokémon I reckon that a lot of issues he would’ve had training most of them will be easily dealt with. Especially charizard. (Though I haven’t watched up to that just yet)

Eh I am not really seeing much of meoths personality I exspect meoth to be just as angry about ash insulting him and not wanting to take Pikachu with him because he dose not want to deal with a troublesome Pokémon. I would also expect him to be a slacker trying to avoid battling when ash asked him to and be jealous of any other Pokémon ash bonded with because he would want all of ash’s affection and attention on him. As well as bossing the other Pokémon and ash around.
