DeeJay is part of the touring group of Hamilton, and currently is performing as Alexander Hamilton. He also often performs as Aaron Burr, which actually is his preferred role. When Hamilton performed in Florida, DeeJay took a quick break in between an insane touring schedule to record this with VoicePlay. That crazy riff he did towards the end, was his very first take, lol. He is one talented young man!

Layne released a TikTok same day of a snip of it in chipmunk voices.... DeeJay did 4 performances with them in 2021 while Hamilton wasn't touring.... Bang, Butter, You're My Best Friend and Man in the Mirror - I think, Bang is my favorite of the 3, but Man in the Mirror and Best Friend were the 2 goodby songs to J. None, so they have a lot of emotional weight for us fans.
Hulda Draco did the whole video that way. She makes informative videos all the time about these guys. Past and present. She has been a long time can of Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci. And is on their highest tiers on their patreons. I've learned Alot about them from her videos.

I heard a rumor that Layne put up a TikTok with the song sped up and called in "On helium". I don't have TikTok so I cannot personally confirm this but I did hear part of the audio on another reactor's video.
I'm very old and this song has made me cringe every time - the Chipmunks just didn't do it for me. But, as usual, Voiceplay made it all better! They are absolutely fantastic! The covers they do are so complex that it takes 5 or 106 times through to hear it all, then you find out you missed some of the good stuff. Thanx for your enthusiastic reaction.
