I work in a hotel that secret service stays when a politician comes into town. They shutdown everything within miles. they set up all kinds of severance in the hotel to make sure everything is good. I had to make sure that all their equipment was sent to a floor where no one had access to. Like i said something is not being told.

I urge everyone to read Carol Leonning’s book “Zero Fail The Rise and Fall of The Secret Service” . It’s not the fine tuned organization that we think it is. It wouldn’t surprise me if the Secret Service doesn’t want Trump back in the White House.

He also said "in an hour, all hell will break loose" or something to that effect. I watched the whole live outcome TV but saw so many of the news from repeating the same videos with others.
Suspicious
From what I understand, there was one police officer in contact with the Secret Service. An officer went up on the roof to confront the shooter but fell when the shooter swung his rifle around and pointed it at him.
I think what should have happened is that once the police saw the shooter on the roof they should’ve notified the Secret Service and the Secret Service would have hustled Donald Trump out of there before any shots were fired
The complicating issue here is that Pennsylvania is an open carry state and climbing up on the roof with a rifle is suspicious, but not a crime.
The Secret Service detail for Donald Trump has a certain number of agents assigned to it and a budget. They simply didn’t have enough agents to have one on every roof.
Another factor is that Donald Trump has a well-deserved reputation of not paying his bills. For that reason, he had to settle on an outdoors venue, rather than one inside a building that would’ve been much easier to secure.

This was so unusual. The protocols call for them to secure all buildings around sites like this. At least it did when I worked with them when I was in the Army. Why were these protocols ignored? Also, the suspect used to wear Trump shirts, and was a very avid supporter. And how is it that this 20 something had the marksmanship skills to fire that accurately from that far away? Lots of things wrong with this. No wonder so many think it was staged and those killed and injured were collateral damage.

After the shooter was taken out, instead of getting Trump off the stage, they stopped and seemed to have a conversation, and then Trump raised his fist. Who on the SS team suggested he do it? Why would the SS think there are no more threats?
I heard a police officer did go up and check it out. When he reached the top of the roof, the gunman pointed the weapon at him and he reversed course.
