Thank you for this amazing guide once again, no one makes these quite like you. You keep it simple, yet funny and informative and it's super simple to follow. LOVING IT!
They patched how 5e implementation of spell learning works in BG3 just for honor mode but not for e.g. tactician? I hadn't seen this in any patch notes etc @@Visardi
I already posted this in your last video but may as well here so you find out quicker. So apperently if your a lv 2 sorcerer. If you drink a supreme elixer of arcane cultivation. You can ignore leveling up to get lv 2, 3, and 4 spell slots by getting enough sorcery points to make another lv 4 spell slot. After that. You can drink a different elixer and start making any spell slot around or below 4th level. If that’s not bad enough. You can go and buy potions of reprive from moonrise to have a way to easily gain back your lv 1 and 2 spell slots as you turn them to sorcery points, make lv 2 spell slots, and turn a few into lv 4 slots. Once you can’t make any slots. Down a reprive potion, sleep, wake up from a short rest+ nap, turn your lv 1 and 2 spell slots into sorcery points, make mostly lv 2 spell slots and a few lv 4’s, down a potion of reprive and repeat. And behold! A paladin so obsessed with smites that he has 100 spell slots for each level at and below 4th level!…. Who also has shield……. May Raphael help us all if the bastard is a 5 level paladin/2 level sorcerer/5 level pact of the blade Warlock.
you can buy a shield at last light inn, that gives you a lvl 1 spellslot. so, turn all lvl 1 slots into points, equip shield, turn new slot into point, un-equip and re-equip shield, rinse and repeat.
Forgive my dumb questions here but are these spell slots then permanent or do they go away ? I'm a noob at 5e rules, and I used to be pretty good with neverwinter nights stuff but this game still confuses me. I usually stick with melee builds because magic confuses me lol.
This is literally the exact build I’m playing on my tactician play through right now. Believe me when I say, it’s absolutely god tier. Kudos to Nizar for always being on top of his game. I’ve been seeing a lot of smite sword bard build vids dropping lately, but they rarely mention the band of the mystic scoundrel, which is a must have item for this build. Well done bringing this to the masses my friend! Edit: I have to say I’m loving your version of this build. I went a slightly different direction and used the Dex gloves for initiative and sacrificed savage attacker for ability point improvement. You’re making me question this… for those that don’t want to do the evil choice in the murder tribunal, luminous armor with the boots of stormy clamour is a good alternative, but not as strong as this. I chose the good guy route for RP though since I’m doing a DE run (redemption arc) with this build. Also, the amulet of the devout is a good alternative as well as it helps you with spell save DC, which has synergy with the OP band of the mystic scoundrel.
@@frankyboy1466 great question. It’s somewhat of a slow start, but that can be made up for by making sure the rest of your party can carry the weight while you get there. Once you get your subclass you’ll get a decent power spike with defensive flourish, which raises your AC on hit. You won’t die easily at lower levels but you also don’t dish out tons of damage. That’s not to say it’s weak at early levels, it just becomes god like once you hit level 8, and get the band of the mystic scoundrel. Personally, I leveled as a bard to level 6 first to gain access to the extra attack earlier. Then at level 6 I switched into getting the 2 levels in pally for smite. I went the route of grabbing the dex gloves in act 1, and focused on raising my strength. It’s worth mentioning that the slow start part applies to combat only. Being a bard has tons of other benefits like having bardic inspiration and enhance ability for helping with dice rolls. You can talk your way out of anything. Lastly, for a stronger start go vanilla pally level 8 and just respec when you get there. I enjoyed playing the bard from the beginning though.
@@frankyboy1466 I went 6 bard first and used the Titan bow and strength potions. It was rather strong bow build until I added the paladin and went with melee.
@@T2rx6they're referring to the gloves of dexterity. As long as your character has 18 or less dex it is raised to 18 when you wear them. If you are not a dex dealer like a ranger or a finesse weapon user and you just want the dex for initiative then 18 is pretty good so the character who wears them should be respec'd from 14/16 to 8 dex. For this build dex gloves help because you would take those points and put them in other helpful skills like strength and wisdom.
Sword Bard is always such a fun to play. I tried a build capitalizing on all possible Charisma modifiers. 5 Bard (Swords), 2 Paladin (Vengeance), 5 Warlock (Blade) - they all conveniently have Charisma as spell modifier. Stack Charisma up to 24 (auntie + ability improvement + Birthright + mirror of loss). - Ring of Arcane Synergy for, well, arcane synergy; Caustic Band for second ring - Potent Robe for armour - Dark Justiciar Gauntlets, later Helldusk Gloves - For weapon I first used Harmonic Dueller, later switched to Duellist's Prerogative - it doesn't have anything related to Charisma, but just gives more benefits overall - Fighting style - duelling - for second feat - either Savage Attacker for max damage, or Defensive Duellist to thematically fit the build. Pact Weapon + Arcane Synergy + Inquisitor's Might gives triple charisma modifier as damage. With CHA=24 it's +21 guaranteed damage. Then +2 from duelling, +2 from Caustic Band, +4 on reaction with Duellist's Prerogative (which we have 2 per turn btw), and +6 minimum weapon damage with Duellist's Prerogative and gloves - grandtotal of 35 guaranteed damage. And plus actual weapon damage roll, plus flourish attack, plus smite. And all that on two targets at once. Arcane Synergy is activated with Eldrich Blast - which is also maxed-out with Agonising Blast and Potent Robe, so no downsides in spending action on it time to time. Thanks to bonus attack, provided by Duellist's Prerogative, we can use Eldrich Blast and attack in the same turn. And Inquisitor's Might can be conveniently casted from warlock's spell slot, ensuring we have this spell available in every combat. We may run out of smites, but all the rest of damage sources are always with us. Overall I got a pretty powerful striker, an elegant dancing duellist in stylish hat, devastating his enemies with precise (and musical!) rapier strikes. The only remaining thing is to ask our buddy to please cast Sleep or Hold Person on our poor target)
Did something similar with Oathbreaker Paladin 7 instead of Bard 5. Aura of Hate adds CHA modifier to every attack with Duelist's Prerogative (7 if hastened). Less spells but also one spell less needed to gain that third CHA mod and a nice save bonus for Pal 6. Guess both have their raison d'être, but I'm currently considering respeccing to test yours. But Aura of Protection is so nice... The build from the video is going to be my MC in the Dark Urge run im starting with my brother next soon after finishing our first playthrough (we're in the finale).
Great video but one thing worth pointing out is that you can also respec at level 6 if you have a strong party and aren't in need of the extra attack. The extra spell slots, extra cc and 3rd short rest can be better than the extra attack in Act 1 end / Act 2. It's also worth picking up the Gloves of Dex at the end of Act 1 and respeccing your stats to drop dex to 8 and take more wisdom and vitality. If you are pure Paladin at this point it's also worth considering going vengeance for VOE as it will help mitigate the -5 attack from great weapon, but you also get the lucky ring in Act 2 so not too big of a deal. There is also a ring in Act 1 which gives a +3m buff to movement which is better than the healing ring if you choose to go OOV over OOA.
Another great build man. Currently on act 2 tactician and not that fond of my current pally build which I wanted to respec so this came in at an absolutely perfect timing
Honestly man - you make beautifully edited videos that are just fun to watch, I look forward to seeing them. That said, they are very difficult to follow in terms of actually trying to make the build. If you had like a just a classic build breakdown (could take up 2 minutes of the video) just for us newbs it'd be so nice to just know which attributes to pick, where to put the hag's hair, etc.
I am in love with your videos, they are extremely useful and entertaining at the same time! I love how you tied those 4 builds in the Immortal Crew! I am just hoping you will keep up the great work and create more Crews for us to play with!
Dude I’ve beaten bg3 so many times i don’t wanna leave it cause it’s like a romance anime once you leave it’s like a empty hole has entered your chest I hope they add a DLC
great take on Paladin ran a similar dual wield version from reddit except that one was Pallock using bhaalist armor and risky ring but definitly going to try this one out level 6 smites sound insane! gotta finish my playthrough with your open hand monk first though
For everyone who didn't realize that you need to kill the little elephant and become a Bhaal killer, the armor makes those around you vulnerable and take double damage. There is an amulet that you can get at the Yellek Creche (Rosymorn Monastery), it gives you a spell that you can make an enemy vulnerable to the type of damage of your choice (1 long rest charge), it's not nearly as good as the armor but it works for bosses or stronger enemies. The armor is extremely strong, but to not have doesnt mean its the end of the world, especially with the critical hits we can get through hold monster and hold person. I recommend you have a cleric, sorcerer or mage to cast these spells and let your Paladin focus on smites
Just beat Honour Mode with this build! Had an amazing time and was even able to romance Gale without worrying about the last fight 🎉🎉🎉. Thanks for the helpful build
@@matthewhaley3674 hello random stranger - just reading comments here, my guess on ancients from experience is just that you attacked a non-hostile, it's incredibly easy to oathbreak ancients. basically anyone you are friendly with, or took a quest from, or successfully used a persaude/intimidate on - afaik even sneak attacks to start fights with enemies that WILL be hostile as soon as they see you, but aren't yet - any of these examples, most of the time if you initiate with an attack, you oathbreak. also any kind of necromancy will break it, for example if you help Mayrina with Connor, you will oathbreak ancients. My experience with ancients is that it is there to easily become an oathbreaker lol, I never take it anymore unless it's an oathbreaker build (I can't control myself and sneak attack everyone)
I'm a bit new to BG3 and this is the first time I've heard of Nyrulna - that trident looks like it'd be absolutely insane in a Berserker 5/Thief 5/Fighter 2 enraged throwing build. Risky Ring would synergize perfectly in that build too since Frenzy completely negates the disadvantage on saving throws.
For those who dont know, 90% of this build in terms of crits is the armour paired with a piercing weapon plus a "hold/ freeze" mechanic for crit certainty.
if you want builds that are insanely powerful even at low levels, then tavern brawler (tb) is your friend. tb is a disgustingly broken feat so anything that works with it will make you super strong as early as level 4, which you can get very fast in this game with no combat. these builds are also exceptionally powerful because such a large portion of their strngth comes solely from tavern brawler, meaning you barely need any items to have them do great damage things that work great with tb: monk for powerful unarmed attacks, especially open hand. moon druid for very powerful attacks while wildshaped frenzy barbarian or eldritch knight fighter for very powerful throwing weapons, make sure to grab the returning pike at the goblin trader.
Just finished my honor run 2 days ago with a bard 10/ paladin 2 wearing the same cloths you mentioned but my throw Barbarian had the weapon so I ran with the one I got from ansur. Also had a monk and fighter along for the ride.
It's hilarious when you realize that you can stack arcane acuity from attacking anything like tables, barrels, crates, etc lol. I attacked the table in the prison of moonrise where Minthara would be and was able to get 10 stacks before heading outside to the docks.
Don't let this guy go to war basically. He will dodge every missile, take no damage from bullets, and slaughter the whole squad with his crits in one turn
The whole video is full of inconsistencies like this. He recommends starting as Paladin for heavy armour and uses light armour lol. It's a good build in terms of damage output but it relies too heavily on spell slots. Starting as Bard and using one of the many great medium armour is a better way to go, slightly less damage but much better AC and less reliant on spell slots.
I love the idea but I dont think I can get myself to have my Oath of Ancients Paladin (my current playthrough) to do what you have to do to unlock the Bhaalist Armor. Everything else is awesome.
I took the liberty of getting this and the deathslinger build fully operational in my dark urge playthrough that I beat last night (Also got the no one left behind and she cannot be caged trophies as well) and did my own experimentation with this build, I found the hard way that even bound weapons by eldirch knights can disappear if the weapon itself does not have a perk that says it cannot be removed from the hand, so I gave the trident of the Bhaalist Paladin to my Deathslinger and replaced it with Orin's Crimson Mischief-- and OH BOY does it output far more damage, I was getting around 70 piercing damage BEFORE including a single modifier like crits, extra kinds of damage, then the divine smites upon the crits. I highly recommend anyone try this build out with the Crimson Mischief instead and PS: The deathslinger build could really make use of Champion over Eldrich Knight since two of the three available weapons for the build cannot be lost and as the video says the lightning jabber can be bound by a hireling instead, but its still nice to have used a unique weapon like it (until the game said no and it despawned).
I may be not thinking correctly. But why are we taking the Duelling fighting style if our goal is to use Nyrulna? Since it’s versatile, that fighting style is pointless, no?
Yeah that was my bad, I had to watch the video again and it made more sense once I realized that he’d said all the fighting styles were going to be pointless so just pick one. Since the Bhaal armor and Nyrulna are acquired so late in the game I was using the defender flail and a shield which was useful with Duelling up until I got the most important items.
I like this build, however I am having issues with the paladin's oath of the ancients: it is very very limiting on who you can attack and what you can do without breaking the oath. In moonrise tower, for example, I can't kill the guards :(
Love the build but I didn't know what I had to go through to get bhallist Armor. I think Imma keep jorgoral's greatsword for AOE smite everything and give Nyrulna to deathslinger
What is your opinion on Bonespike Gloves + Bhaalist Armour over Gauntlets of Frost Giant Strength? I've seen Reddit posts where people tested it and apparently, it works and every enemy is Vulnerable to Piercing Damage from Aura of Murder.
You can get both in the same place. Become the unholy assassin thing to get access to merchant that sells armor then kill saving saveroc and loot the helm
Any chance you have a Helmet replacement recommendation for the act 2 helm? I had already been past it when i found this build and realized i had not looted it prior to starting act 3 ;w; I do have the act 1 smite helm though so I'm wearing that currently but wasn't sure if there might be a better suited one as a replacement?
You don't recommend whispering promise for this build to give advantage? Gives bless on heal and you'd have a lot of options to heal with this character and also will give bless to any other party members you heal. Will bless on healing with potions too and you can simply heal before starting a fight and have 2 turns bless to start with. Doesn't have the negative that risky ring has and you get whispering promise really early. I'd be interested your views on using this character as a TWF dex build so you get smites on each weapon attack and always have use for action and bonus action
am i suppose to make my paladin a unholy assasin? or just take a random unused character for it then buy the armor? im pretty confused . i think becoming an unholy assassin would break my oath right?
how important is the oath of the ancients? the only way to get the armor leads you to ultimately break your oath. is it worth it to pay to get it back?
It's not inportant; the point of OoTA is mostly for its sheer healing potential that can be valuable in harder game modes. Oathbreaker and OoV work really well, too.
This build Reallly hits hard once u do get the bhaalist armor . the only thing that then falls of is AC But using the dexterity gloves that set dex to 18 and with like ring prot. You can easly get 19+ Ac . We replace the gauntlets with a litle of cloud giant elixir. And we can respec the Str into Con instead. Note vendors refresh iventory on long rests so u can just partial rest a bch to farm
Exactly what I’m doing with Phalar Aluve, it is Finesse even being a Longsword. I just use the Oath for healing everybody and give Bless to everyone with the Whispering ring, then activate Shriek and stay close to the enemies for my party members destroy them the opening turn. Then next round couple of hits with the sword, Smiting when necessary, a control spell with the bonus action and done.
Literally was searching out paladin build just now..Always liked your builds of ER and just ended with bg3 with your dual staff sorceror with rogue ranger (astarion), fighter(laezel) ,tempest domain cleric (shadowheart).. want to try paladin in this poaythrough would be funny with dark urge lolth sworn drow trying to hold up paladin oaths.
@@rlz_ziv5173 dont know if this oath would bring the best of an oathbreaker(he gets boths skills from the oath and new power by being an oathbreaker) so mb a new path and new choises with multyclassing might come to play.
@@mntkaikseropsomi The pld is just for the smite at this point so it doesnt really matter what kind of pld you are. He def paid to unbreak his oath if he has that armor though
Serious question here. Does becoming an Unholy Assassin not break the Oath of the Ancients? I genuinely dont know. I feel like it should but considering you never mentioned, Im assuming it doesnt.
It definitely breaks oath of vengeance my la’zel bout to fork over that 1k gold with a pouty lizard face…I’d assume that with that being the most liberal oath all three would get broken by becoming an unholy assassin
@@EstuscancelCan confirm, it breaks your oath. I might just stay Oathbreaker, you only get 2 levels of paladin in the final build anyway. Plus I lost my oath already, turns out killing the guards in Moonlight Towers before you free the gnomes and tieflings? Yeah, turns out evil guards are still "guards" as far as the game is concerned.
@@rustyjones7908 Woah really? I cleaned out some of the guards in Moonrise before the big fight and before freeing the prisoners and I did not break my oath. But maybe you picked a different subclass than me (I was a vengeance paladin). I ended up breaking it later on accident though by agreeing to ally with Gortash at his coronation. But I also think it's fine to just keep oathbreaker since it's only 2 levels. Plus I thought I'd probably be acting pretty evil later on to get my hands on the bhaalist armor anyway. XD
thanks Nizzar for the amazing build. anyone has a recommended weapon before I can obtain the Nyrulna? I just started Act 2 and close to the Mansion Guild. I've been using the great sword for my level 7 character. what should I use after respec?
i just stuck with the jorgoral until i could get the halberd you get from the bugbear in moonrise since it has +2 enchantment but jorgoral is pretty nasty already with it's unique weapon skill
How would you change the equipment if I'm doing a good playthrough and sided with Valeria the flying elephant instead of becoming an Unholy Assassin and getting the Bhaalist Armor?
Is this class still good for lock picking? On my first run I had to use Astarion for this purpose mainly but thought maybe I could use someone else this time if a bard paladin can do lock picking, although this won’t be great until level 3 it seems? Thanks
If you have decent dexterity you should be ok, if anything you can just use gloves of thievery or maybe gloves of dexterity just to pick the harder locks
Yup. I did most of this build for my bard in my first playthrough (didn't use bhaalist armor or nyrulna but I did use the helmet + band of the mystic scoundrel ring). Take 2 levels into paladin after level 6 swords bard. Keep in mind that swords bard doesn't get shield proficiency. So you can't sword and board if you want to till level 7 (when you get your paladin level) if you don't have shield proficiency from your race.

This did not go at all like I was expecting it to go but I am loving it! I will definitely give this a whirl, but I might give it a twist of my own with another weapon, we'll see. Thank you for this amazing guide once again, no one makes these quite like you. You keep it simple, yet funny and informative and it's super simple to follow.
LOVING IT!
It seems to me, like Bard is by far the most versatile class in the game. You can multi class it with everything.
Bard is overpowered, i decided already not to use bards anymore, because they are just too strong.
wizard 1 is also a very strong MC, or rogue 3

@@bademeister_sam4105 the shield doesn’t work like that. It’s a usable spell slot.
Meaning if you use the extra spell slot? It’s empty for the day.
Forgive my dumb questions here but are these spell slots then permanent or do they go away ? I'm a noob at 5e rules, and I used to be pretty good with neverwinter nights stuff but this game still confuses me. I usually stick with melee builds because magic confuses me lol.

@@equilibrium9135 in other word he want this build written to save time and not watch the video
@@dr.vegapunk5853 Even more confusing since I never did that :D Thanks for clarifying.
Edit:
I have to say I’m loving your version of this build.
Does it feel bad at early level? Because you only get a extra attack in level 8. Just asking, I am very curious about paladin/sword bard
@@frankyboy1466 thats why you only go for this build at level 8, from level 1 to 7 you are better off with pure paladin
What is you normal team composition?
VERY IMPORTANT MSITAKE! u forgot to mention WHY u have 8 dex!!! This build relies on 18 dex gloves from cresh!! Until u get gloves of giant
I am still learning this game what do the gloves do for this build?
@@T2rx6they're referring to the gloves of dexterity. As long as your character has 18 or less dex it is raised to 18 when you wear them. If you are not a dex dealer like a ranger or a finesse weapon user and you just want the dex for initiative then 18 is pretty good so the character who wears them should be respec'd from 14/16 to 8 dex. For this build dex gloves help because you would take those points and put them in other helpful skills like strength and wisdom.
Lol I just had 8 dex until the house of hope. Worked out tho
What do you need DEX for?
@@JoseGoncalves-qc4jjsame lol, it was okay just wiped at the end of the turn unless I had elixir of vigilance
- Ring of Arcane Synergy for, well, arcane synergy; Caustic Band for second ring
- Potent Robe for armour
- Dark Justiciar Gauntlets, later Helldusk Gloves
- For weapon I first used Harmonic Dueller, later switched to Duellist's Prerogative - it doesn't have anything related to Charisma, but just gives more benefits overall
- Fighting style - duelling
- for second feat - either Savage Attacker for max damage, or Defensive Duellist to thematically fit the build.
@@Armand7734 how is aura of hate related to duelist's prerogative? i don't see any reason why
@@jk2l if you stack plain damage bonuses like that from aura of hate four attacks are stronger than three
@@Armand7734 but oathbreaker aura only buff fiend and undead. It shouldn't buff your own attack
@@jk2l "You and any nearby fiends (and undead) gain an additional damage dealt with melee weapons equal to your charisma modifier." according to wiki
I enjoy the story hype building in Nizar's videos. They are fun, not dragging.
Maybe the solution is to have like a little PDF or something of your builds in the comments section or description?
I am in love with your videos, they are extremely useful and entertaining at the same time! I love how you tied those 4 builds in the Immortal Crew! I am just hoping you will keep up the great work and create more Crews for us to play with!
Incredible build, thank you very much. Tried today and really enjoy it, super fun!
Dude I’ve beaten bg3 so many times i don’t wanna leave it cause it’s like a romance anime once you leave it’s like a empty hole has entered your chest I hope they add a DLC
allready said they dont make any DLC for it, or even a bg4 is down from the table aswell, since wizard of the cost (the owner of D&D) fucked up
great take on Paladin ran a similar dual wield version from reddit except that one was Pallock using bhaalist armor and risky ring but definitly going to try this one out level 6 smites sound insane! gotta finish my playthrough with your open hand monk first though
Hey so you dont need to play the durge but choose to kill the elephant? Wasnt sure what about the build is the bhaalist.

Just beat Honour Mode with this build! Had an amazing time and was even able to romance Gale without worrying about the last fight 🎉🎉🎉. Thanks for the helpful build
I did wish I knew what broke my oath for the ancient, spent a ton of money reclaiming my oath haha 😂😂😂
I would like to see you mention builds that work better at lower levels, by the time I'm in act 3, I generally feel pretty fine.
Yeah, that's my only problem with these build videos is by the time you get some of this gear you've already essentially beat the game lol
tried to check the guide he made for lv 1-7?
if you want builds that are insanely powerful even at low levels, then tavern brawler (tb) is your friend. tb is a disgustingly broken feat so anything that works with it will make you super strong as early as level 4, which you can get very fast in this game with no combat. these builds are also exceptionally powerful because such a large portion of their strngth comes solely from tavern brawler, meaning you barely need any items to have them do great damage
things that work great with tb:
monk for powerful unarmed attacks, especially open hand.
moon druid for very powerful attacks while wildshaped
frenzy barbarian or eldritch knight fighter for very powerful throwing weapons, make sure to grab the returning pike at the goblin trader.
Just finished my honor run 2 days ago with a bard 10/ paladin 2 wearing the same cloths you mentioned but my throw Barbarian had the weapon so I ran with the one I got from ansur. Also had a monk and fighter along for the ride.
But the damage that the armor doubles is piercing, and the sword deals slashing damage
@@carludo55 I knew that but it was so easy as it was so I was fine with it. I was rather surprised how easy honor mode was.
It's hilarious when you realize that you can stack arcane acuity from attacking anything like tables, barrels, crates, etc lol. I attacked the table in the prison of moonrise where Minthara would be and was able to get 10 stacks before heading outside to the docks.
i just love your builds! i was wondering if you'd be willing to make a necromancer one soon?
Solo leving
This build trivializes everything in act3.. great job man lmao
My ever-reliable go to channel! Loved your Elden Ring builds and it seems BG3 is no different.
thank you I was asking for this in your previous paladin video, great video as always
Don't let this guy go to war basically. He will dodge every missile, take no damage from bullets, and slaughter the whole squad with his crits in one turn
Why are you not dumping constitution? As you have the amulet of greater health?
most OP build in the game
It would be cool to see you cover more niche builds, warlock duelist with lifedrinker/ harmonic dueller for example
Since your using the Amulet of Greater Health wouldnt it be better not to put any points into constitution and in something else for dialogue checks?
The whole video is full of inconsistencies like this. He recommends starting as Paladin for heavy armour and uses light armour lol. It's a good build in terms of damage output but it relies too heavily on spell slots. Starting as Bard and using one of the many great medium armour is a better way to go, slightly less damage but much better AC and less reliant on spell slots.
@@sb_nems reason why he uses bhaalist armour is to buff his teammates damage
this build and 3 others are made to have perfect synergy
Followed you in elden ring, following you for bg3, will follow you no matter what sir.
I love the idea but I dont think I can get myself to have my Oath of Ancients Paladin (my current playthrough) to do what you have to do to unlock the Bhaalist Armor. Everything else is awesome.
im new to the game. im following your first paladin video. does this mean i should reset my job to achieve this?
Awesome build would you ever do a throwing weapon barbarian or a spore Druid build ?
Oh hell yeah this is the build that I used with minthara on my first honor mode win
Amazing build! What weapon would you use when you respec at level 8?? You can't get Nyrulna until Act III
I took the liberty of getting this and the deathslinger build fully operational in my dark urge playthrough that I beat last night (Also got the no one left behind and she cannot be caged trophies as well) and did my own experimentation with this build, I found the hard way that even bound weapons by eldirch knights can disappear if the weapon itself does not have a perk that says it cannot be removed from the hand, so I gave the trident of the Bhaalist Paladin to my Deathslinger and replaced it with Orin's Crimson Mischief--
and OH BOY does it output far more damage, I was getting around 70 piercing damage BEFORE including a single modifier like crits, extra kinds of damage, then the divine smites upon the crits.
You can also go DEX and use a shield, which makes you a lot tankier, specially since you are using light armor.
What does the PS you refer to stand for?
@@TheLocoreaper just means “by the way”
I may be not thinking correctly. But why are we taking the Duelling fighting style if our goal is to use Nyrulna? Since it’s versatile, that fighting style is pointless, no?
Yeah he said it was pointless
Yeah that was my bad, I had to watch the video again and it made more sense once I realized that he’d said all the fighting styles were going to be pointless so just pick one. Since the Bhaal armor and Nyrulna are acquired so late in the game I was using the defender flail and a shield which was useful with Duelling up until I got the most important items.
I would love to see you doing a op oathbreaker paladin
More honour mode builds please!
with some modifications i can make this build as DEX with dueling instead STR
Do you stream on TH-cam or Twitch? Your videos and content are awesome!

I’ve been CRAVING for a bard 10 build in my honor run, especially for hunger if hadar, cazador gotta prepare his ass for what is coming
Not... how I imagined the ultimate Paladin.
I like this build, however I am having issues with the paladin's oath of the ancients: it is very very limiting on who you can attack and what you can do without breaking the oath. In moonrise tower, for example, I can't kill the guards :(
Dude idk what it is but you vids confuse tf outta me, like I love them and there great detailed idk how I just get confused lol am I the only one?

Love the build but I didn't know what I had to go through to get bhallist Armor. I think Imma keep jorgoral's greatsword for AOE smite everything and give Nyrulna to deathslinger
Shar's Spear of Evening in Act 2. Unseen Menace in Act 1.
What is your opinion on Bonespike Gloves + Bhaalist Armour over Gauntlets of Frost Giant Strength? I've seen Reddit posts where people tested it and apparently, it works and every enemy is Vulnerable to Piercing Damage from Aura of Murder.
21:25 "which gives us advantage on Constitution Saving Throws". No it doesn't because you're wearing the Risky Ring which completely negates that.
Is their a way to give this thing a polearm and sentinel? Nasty.
do you become a oathbreaker for this build? And if i want the bhallist armor but also want saveroks helmet is that possible?
You can get both in the same place. Become the unholy assassin thing to get access to merchant that sells armor then kill saving saveroc and loot the helm
Hey! If i do this as you said, it is necessary to kill Jaheira and Minsc? There is a way to get the armour without killing them?@@wombat0207
Any chance you have a Helmet replacement recommendation for the act 2 helm? I had already been past it when i found this build and realized i had not looted it prior to starting act 3 ;w;
I do have the act 1 smite helm though so I'm wearing that currently but wasn't sure if there might be a better suited one as a replacement?
Is it worth this build in act 2.? I think the items are from act 3?
Still really good in act 2, I’ve been experimenting with it. Act 3 just gets better and better
Really hope you make a necromancer build.
Lmao 🤣 this build basically turns you into the muad’ dib. Commanding enemies to your will.
These videos are soooo good. The hype is real :)
am i suppose to make my paladin a unholy assasin? or just take a random unused character for it then buy the armor? im pretty confused . i think becoming an unholy assassin would break my oath right?
it would yeah, though oathbreaker isn't that bad with it's aura of hate. If you really want to retain your original oath, then bye bye gold
how important is the oath of the ancients? the only way to get the armor leads you to ultimately break your oath. is it worth it to pay to get it back?
It's not inportant; the point of OoTA is mostly for its sheer healing potential that can be valuable in harder game modes. Oathbreaker and OoV work really well, too.
Does being an oathbreaker mess this build up? I really wanna do a oathbreaker bard build.
Why would you put CON at 14 if you use Amulet of Greater Health?
For people that played it, how does it compare to Lockadin nowadays?
This build Reallly hits hard once u do get the bhaalist armor . the only thing that then falls of is AC But using the dexterity gloves that set dex to 18 and with like ring prot. You can easly get 19+ Ac . We replace the gauntlets with a litle of cloud giant elixir. And we can respec the Str into Con instead. Note vendors refresh iventory on long rests so u can just partial rest a bch to farm
Love these videos, but for the love of god my man use those timestamps to jump to specific sections
I want to do a dual wielding 2 pally / 10 sword bard, not sure how that would work but sounds fun.
I did that just so I could use blade of the under mountain King in my offhand. It works great. Blow through smite so fast though, lol.
Are there any other good piercing weapons you'd recommend for this build?
Duelist Prerogative, Shar's Spear or Selune's Spear are all good options too.
crimson mischief short sword, unseen menace, breaching pike staff, trident of the waves are all good options as well.
personally i kind of prefer using a finesse weapon and shield with this build instead
Question what about the Illithid Powers which should we get?
Man you deserve my Like
Literally was searching out paladin build just now..Always liked your builds of ER and just ended with bg3 with your dual staff sorceror with rogue ranger (astarion), fighter(laezel) ,tempest domain cleric (shadowheart).. want to try paladin in this poaythrough would be funny with dark urge lolth sworn drow trying to hold up paladin oaths.
well enjoy but remember this isnt a paladin build at all it a Barb build simple as that
Instead of picking savage attacks as feat, you can also create half orc Tav and spend feat on something else.
Half orc savage attacks and the savage attacker feat are different abilities.
Could u use oath breaker instead?
Paladin guide complete. Antipaladin when? Need that sweet oathbreaker to get things done dirty
Would this not work with an oath breaker ? Like doesn’t becoming a Bhaalist break your oath ? Please don’t roast , I’m still pretty nooby to the game
@@DummyThicDIO havent gotten to this part yet (act1 still). to get the bhaal armor you need to break your vow guess by competing some kind of quest?
I don't understand why set Constitution at 14 after getting the amulet and gloves from the House of Hope
How come when you respec, you don't dump the constitution also since you wear a 23 constitution neck?
If you missed the helm of arcane acuity you can pickup the hat of storm scion's power
Good vid, tossed you a like... as a bonus action.
I know it's unlikely but @NizarGG . May you post a link of this build in through a build creator for us for me pretty please?
If I missed the Band of the mystic scoundrel, will this build be useless then?
Can this be done well with an Oathbreaker? I broke my oath and don't wanna pay for it.
Every piece of armor is actually three except the helm. So for early game it’s really not as good as you make it out to be
Which hags hair is recommended for this build?
Am I right that dexterity would be the best option for this build?
Makes you an oath breaker. Plus you oath real again for the armor.
Imagine 5 these builds in one party 😂
I didn’t get that ring and honestly, the build is good, but it feels definitely lacking without it :(
Is it worth it switching from full paladin to this build before acquiring Band of the Mystic Scoundrel?
Same question here. I’m at act 2 and I’ve read you can only get it in act 3
I was looking for a melee bard or new paladin set and this is just perfect! What a great coincidence lol
Does killing Valeria break your oath? Or is there a way to get the bhaalist armor without doing that?
Probably does, but remember you can just buy your oath back for 1k. At that point in the game, that's very easy to come by
@@EstuscancelCan confirm, it breaks your oath.
XD
as an oath of vengence durge, killing valyria didnt break my oath
@@KamelotBeatTheOneAndOnly Weird, because it absolutely broke mine
Hey there, Im new to the game and would like to do a playthrough with this build.
What would a good party comp with this build be?
thanks Nizzar for the amazing build.
anyone has a recommended weapon before I can obtain the Nyrulna? I just started Act 2 and close to the Mansion Guild.
I've been using the great sword for my level 7 character. what should I use after respec?
i just stuck with the jorgoral until i could get the halberd you get from the bugbear in moonrise since it has +2 enchantment but jorgoral is pretty nasty already with it's unique weapon skill
What bow would you use for final build? Maybe i missed it in the video.
The Dead Shot is a great ranged slot choice for the passive enhanced crit. Gontr Mael is also really good for Celestial haste
How would you change the equipment if I'm doing a good playthrough and sided with Valeria the flying elephant instead of becoming an Unholy Assassin and getting the Bhaalist Armor?
if you think about it Valeria was kinda a dickhead anyways LMAO
Im using reapers embrace, the armor you get for defeating ketheric
Is this class still good for lock picking? On my first run I had to use Astarion for this purpose mainly but thought maybe I could use someone else this time if a bard paladin can do lock picking, although this won’t be great until level 3 it seems? Thanks
If you have decent dexterity you should be ok, if anything you can just use gloves of thievery or maybe gloves of dexterity just to pick the harder locks
Could you do this build directly from
Bard instead of respecting from the other build at lvl 8?
Thanks for the help
