    Thank you very much for your clear explanation. I'm very much confident that I will be able to install the new tensioner on my 2016 Toyota Camry later today.

    I'm going to try your easiest way technique to reinstall the new one. I ran out of time struggling with the new one and just put the old one back on tonight. Try again tomorrow when I have more time. Wrap around all pulleys and slip under the tensioner lastly.
    Thx

      U r welcome glad my video helped u. Just to mention it really helps if u have someone holding the tensioner for u with a ratchet while u use both ur hands to slip the belt under the tensioner pulley.

    Thank you for the simplified procedures. What is the probability of the Tensioner going bad? Thanks.

      Welcome. I would say every 100k kms the tensioner can go bad.

    Did you take tire off to put belt on

      No need to take tire off or jack up the car

    So much thanks bro.
    It was really help to me.
    Does the tensioner also have a specified tightening torque?

      Welcome. I am sure there is but it is a tight spot i could not fit a torque wrench and socket in there

      @@rogueradryder Oh, I understand. I will use hand torque at a level that does not destroy the screw threads. Thank you so much bro.

    My 2017 camry le 4cylinder has 120 k miles on it would you think the belt & tensioner needs replaced with that many miles on it now?

      I would definitely change the belt for sure and while u r at it check the tensioner as well. Honestly its not an expensive item and i would change it anyway. You take care of ur car and it will take care of u 🙂

      @@rogueradryder yes so true taking care of our cars, I just called the dealer on the serpentine belt it's 36$ which ain't bad for OEM parts, the tensioner is over 200$ but told me that with 120k miles on the car it's ok to let it be for now, local part stores want 30$-50$ for that continental belt I will just buy the factory OEM belt, thanks for the advice appreciate it much👍

    I have a 2011 camry and its starting to rattle near this area but i cant pin point any advice thanks

    • @rogueradryder
      @rogueradryder  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rattle could be a loose belt which means bad tensioner, it could also be ur engine mounts or on of ur pulleys gone bad. Engine can also rattle if its running rough.
