To be fair, not much was revealed about his backstory at all, until the point when it's actually revealed. They did a brilliant job at misdirection too, like throughout all aspects of the entire show. There's so much going on your mind is trying to figure out a dozen things at once.
@@env0x Oh for sure, all we know is that he isn't Madara anymore. Tbf a lot of people during the time of manga had theorized it was indeed him, the imagery of Tobi's mask only having one eye, directly opposite of Kakashi's, the right side of his face being heavily scarred, the hairstyle. The misdirection was great too.
Here though is when it really becomes interesting because Tobi starts getting very personal with Kakashi and he makes that intentional slip up with Guy, revealing an intimate detail that only friends of Guy's would be aware of. A lot of reactors miss that part.
The line before that when he was talking about Kakashi was much more significant for me on my first watch. There's no one else alive who knows that much about Kakashi or could presume to know that much about his past. At that moment I was like 90% sure of who it was but not how. Also, Tobi had a trusting bond with Kisame, so the comment about Guy could have just as easily come from one of their conversations with each other in my mind.
@@hpflix 100% Agreed, I mentioned to another commenter that Tobi being so personal and vindictive of Kakashi was also a big giveaway as to who he is.
The Guy thing to me stands out more to me at least because it's such an insignificant detail to know about someone. I honestly don't think Kisame would inform Tobi of something like that because of that very reason, it's not important intel, he wouldn't bother. While they were loyal comrades, all their talks were only ever about Project Tsuki and philosophy, discussing trivialities of a "fake" reality wouldn't really come up, that was more personal to Kisame's ego.

Suigestu IS understimating Orochimaru because he thinks Sasuke for being his favorite pupil is capable learn quickly enough the forbidden jutsus Orochimaru took years to learn to be able to use the power of the scroll to control this war.
Well you can turn that on it's head and say he's overestimating Orochimaru, as he believes Orochimaru is talented enough to teach Sasuke all of his forbidden jutsu in the few years they had together. He truly believes Orochimaru would've been capable of that; when in reality he was not that capable.

@@tmd-w1552 We all know Orochimaru was only going to teach Sasuke long enough and well enough to groom him strong enough to take his body. But Suigetsu would think that a vessel Orochimaru picked out would be good enough to master those jutsu if he chose to do so. After all Sasuke was the vessel Orochimaru chose. So even if he didn't teach Sasuke, Suigetsu could have an altered perception and believe that Sasuke could do it anyway, just because he overestimated Orochimaru's capability and choice. When Suigetsu speaks he says that Sasuke "Should be capable of that." meaning he could have thought that Orochimaru did teach him that jutsu, but didn't know that wasn't the case. He also could've been babbling in fear looking for any excuse not to revive Orochimaru. Either way I think it's an overestimation.

Again ur logic makes no sense Sasuke is only human Orochimaru is not and its really just that simple. Sasuke does not possess Orochimarus regenerative abilities and that is something that cannot be taught
@@tmd-w1552 Aren't we talking about Suigetsus perspective? Not mine as an observer. I understand that Sasuke can't do those things but it wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility that Suigetsu believes Sasuke could accomplish those feats because he was Orochimaru's student and soon to be vessel. He doesn't know what kind of training Sasuke went through. Which is why he overestimates Sasuke's capabilities, because he overestimates what Orochimaru is capable of. Sasuke only says not to underestimate him because he knows he isn't capable while Orochimaru is. Suigetsu doesn't understand that Sasuke would be incapable simply because of his connection to Orochimaru.
Just a remark: how did sasuke knew the sign without seeing them since he wasn’t looking at kakashi sign 🤣

Orochimaru never wanted to rule over world or declare any war ..
His main goal was to discover every hidden jutsu / learn every jutsu. . but in order to do that he needs to be immortal coz jutsu take time to master them.... Thats y when orochimaru brought back by sasuke his main goal was still to get sasuke body to be in a perfect body so he can still live for long long time .. he has no interest in ruling world or anything
There’s two ways to see this.
A) Itachi's failed suicide attack on Madara
B) Itachi peacing out before anyone asks him to fight Madara

Something that always bothered me when Sasuke "revived" Orochimaru, is, did he actually pull him out of that Genjutsu world he was trapped in, or is the real one still in there and what we see now is just a copy of him?
All of them are the same Orochimaru, he split himself like Voldemort, each part being part of the same consciousness. He is still in Genjutsu pretty much dead, but also he still is alive. We can assume that his soul traveled to only living parts of him after he got sealed. Similar to how Nagato's soul will probably join Konan in heaven.
The problem here is also that - we don't know, if the Genjutsu and seal is in fact eternal or does it only work when Itachi is alive. But when he is back in heaven - all the sealed souls are transported to heaven, as well.
Let’s just say his soul teleported to his other body lol, the old one is just probably decade by now

First thing out of Orochimaru’s mouth is “I still want your body, Sasuke” but he actually doesn’t seem to prioritize that anymore. Possibly because Sasuke fully outclasses him now, but there could be something more…
And here comes back the best character. Now that you know he is alive, you should watch Naruto SD.
Orochimaru wants Sasuke’s body for the Sharingan/Potential Rinnegan. He’s the last known Uchiha with the ability to become the wielder of both eyes outside of Madara who Orochimaru is fully aware he can’t take over so Sasuke is his best bet.
Remember Orochimaru got absolutely demolished by simply looking at Itachi and he’s been singularly focused on obtaining that power since. That’s why he still wants Sasukes body above all else.

Even if i'm glad to see Salazar Slytherin again. Sasuke pissed me off so much here and When Juugo agreed to do what Sasuke wanted, instead of sounding like a loyan followers, he sounded like lap dog. Suigetsu is the only one with some sense.

Jugos whole character literally makes no sense he views Sasuke as a reincarnation of Kimimaro hence he follows him which made sense at first, but after Sasuke "killed" Orochimaru it makes absolutely no sense why Jugo would be willing to continue to follow Sasuke because we all know just how much Kimimaro loved and worshipped Orochimaru they literally shared the same will so wouldn't it make more sense if he followed Orochimaru? And to prove my point even further with his sage transformation Jugo has the potential to revive Orochimaru who by the way later developes the technology to clone people which goes into the next question which is why in the hell has Orochimaru not brought Kimimaro back? And why hasn't Jugo asked? It just feels like team taka the sound 4 and the sound village in general has completely been ignored.

Orochimaru has no chance todereat either Naruto or Madara. He couldn't win the War even if he wanted.
At this point of the war, he actually would be able to win. If he worked better with the alliance, he could technically take all Edo Tensei shinobi and use them against Madara. But fight will change soon enough - and that will be too much for him go handle alone. They would probably do something, if the Moon didn't start to shine - if you get what I mean.

@@too_official6194 problem is that Oro won't probably ever be full power. The closest he got is potentially Boruto's Orochimaru, however that's when Naruto already got overpowered (post-Baryon Orochimaru could be stronger though). Its also arguable, who would win at this point in the story, where L&C are at the moment. Oro has Edo Tensei, but Naruto does have full beast mode and actually perfect Sage Mode as well, which Orochimaru seemingly can't utilise, with the old body.
