Lets not forget Madara taught Obito a lot of things using the Sharinggan special ability to connect and show others what the users wanted, in Obito case, Madara taught him many forbidden jutsu and how to fight, thats why Obito can easily killed the Anbu, he even can undo the Nine-tails seal and slip past the Leaf-village barrier all thanks to Madara who taught him all of that...
So, even if Obito is physically 14, his mind, ability, skill, and battle-experience already surpassed anyone alive at that time...

Created the seal reaper jutsu.
The only shinobi in the entire series that have all villages on one foot and run away if you see him orders.
Stopped the A and B with their full powers and the 8 tails while they trying to steal the Biakugan from the Huyga clan.
Stopped The Kyubi attack and Obito at the same time while sealing half the Kyubi's chakra inside him and the other half inside Naruto for future use.
Created unborken seal while having a safeguard on it in case Naruto gets week and try to free the Kyubi and appears again just to seal it back.
Created a jutsu to let Naruto and his Mother Kushina to meet while Naruto trying to control the Kyubi's chakra.
He has no known Clan's blood, eyes or Kekkei Genkai or any special ability other than what he taught himself with hard work.
And he became a Hokage and dies protecting his village and family before the age of 24.
One shouldn’t compare Itachi to Minato because they were completely different in their societal status. You have to understand that Minato was number one in the Academy as a civilian orphan. Whereas Itachi had Fugaku and Shisui helping him. Along with all the resources and advantages that come with being a clan heir to one of the founding clans of Konoha and arguably the strongest.
There is no comparison in Minato’s life until he was on Sekiro Mode. Props to Minato though.
Also, in a fight, Minato is destroying Itachi.

Out of all the prodigies in the show I would have loved to see a Prime Minato. He was the pivotal reason why the war ended, no one really alive could challenge him.
Nothing was given to him , he was blessed with talent and he maxed them out with hard work.

(Let me add fact that minato is just 6/7 years older then obito his still in his early 20s too his hokage already! Fact that kishimoto said in novel that minato is only one as equally talanted as hashirama ! Normal, he had the Mangekyou, Hashirama cells to exploit said eye and all his stats plus almost infinite energy, Zetsu's experience and his own experience (previously massacring Jonins of Kirigakure), Minato was naked to pure IQ in battle and reaction speed and yet I humiliate him.

it was a great showcase of just how insane Minato was and why he was so feared by other villages who literally told their own ninja's to run when they saw him.
pretty much within a minute he had already worked out exactly when to hit him and what he needed and also to setup a follow up attack that would break the 9 tail's seal.
also got to remember this all happening while not only does he know his beloved village is under attack but his own child and wife are under threat so the calmness to think like that is absurdly underrated.
Minato pretty much had to be killed off here cause 99% of the events wouldnt have happened if he was still around. the Akatsuki would have never been able to form as Minato would have been so overbearing he would of stopped it long before many of the members got together. Danzo wouldnt of had as much free reign because Minato wouldnt of allowed it. the 3rd was old and couldnt keep on top of it all so Danzo was able to opperate more freely under him meaning things like Uchiha massacre may have never happened as well
