- Thank you for watching and I hope you find this guide useful. If you think that I left out a good farm spot or two please leave a comment below letting me know. I can also do a more detailed guide just let me know what you would like see; like rotation, what spells you want to buy, talents, or even if you would like me to go into more detail about what specific quests to do. I wanted to stay somewhat vague in this video because following a guide that gives you the exact quest to do, can be extremely boring. It can even be much slower because you are better off skipping a quest if there are a bunch of other people trying to do the same one, which ruins following a step by step guide. World of Warcraft is still YOUR adventure... so don't let the "most efficient" path or spec get in your way to having fun. My main goal with this guide is to give people a resource that they can use when they aren't sure where to go at X level and to show people some of the best farming spots I was able to find.
I wanted to add that something that I had a viewer point out, ad that is: You can buy herbalism when you get to Brill at lvl 6 which allows you to use find herbs which can really speed up finishing the Doom Weed quest where you need to pick 10 of them.

Is aoe leveling from 22-26 meant to be slow?
@@rdmcrafter9185 Until 26 you don't have cone of cold, Which is a huge factor as far as an instant AoE frost spell that is invaluable for more effectively grouping up your pull safely while at the same time adding a good burst of damage.
So ya, before 26 it can be done but that's when you have become much more optimally proficient. You also will have picked up 2/2 artic reach, at that point your AoE kit really feels fleshed out and complete.

Forget about the sisters. They have insane magic resistance. They're level 25 and unless you're roughly 30 you cannot solo them at any reasonable pace

I strongly recommend avoiding Dryads in Ashenvale as advised in this video (as an alternative), they have high resistance to frost.

Laughing Sisters have to had their resistance changed. so many of them resist frost nova and Cone

Yup. I found out the hard way. You pretty much have to quest at some point before the wyverns, because there are no good spots to aoe grind.
@@iamtheone91 I find the wyverns to be a pretty shitty area, they poison and there's not much room to actually kite around...
Thanks first good farming route guide I found on youtube. I couldn't for the life of me recall which camps had ranged mobs, and which didn't(I never lvled to 60 with aoe farming before, mostly I lvled warriors/mages/paladins through dungeons. Or just mainly questing with other classes).
Laughing sisters are also part of the sacred flame quest from TB, and felwood slimes are part of a quest from UC in the apothecary

You should make a strictly AoE farm guide with locations mainly. You are using a mount in this guide to pull, we don't have mounts. great guide nonetheless.
Absolutely agree. And good luck trying to pull that many murlocs at level 34 which was mentioned over the video. They hit really hard for a 34/35 mage and there are some that are 37 so, if they resist, game over most of the time or at least a completely aborted pull.

I really don’t think mages will be able to aoe farm because there will be so many ppl around but we will see. These ones mentioned will probably be overcrowded, so you will need to have back up spots that people don’t normally grind. I would normally want to hit 60 ASAP but I’m going to just try and enjoy the ride so I’m less mad at the huge population issues.

I would agree with you if there wasn't layering in classic. Since there are layers each of these spots really will have about 10 different spots because of all the different layers. So if a spot is taken you don't just go "okay time to spend 10 minutes going somewhere else" instead you just layer hop and get the spot to yourself :)
Probably the best video for aoe leveling
You do not need anyone else to help reset dungeons other than helping to form your initial group. Here are the steps to properly resetting a dungeon on your own:
* Have a friend/guildie invite both your character + your alt to a group (your friend/guildie can now leave)
* Once the run/dungeon is complete, log out of your character while IN THE DUNGEON
* Login to your alt that is in the group
* Wait until the alt is given the leader role (this happens after a minute or so)
* Reset the dungeon
* Log back on to the character in the dungeon
You will be at the beginning of the dungeon and it will have been reset. You're welcome.
I did ZF GY solo farm from 42-52 went super fast and after that i ran alot of instances and farmed my pre bis not the fastest but still fun and nice to raid as soon as i hit 60 :)
Currently lvl 42 on Classic and most of the many AoE videos on TH-cam are good if, IF, your layer isn't full of 3 other mages in the same area. Off hours, 3am etc, works great.
haha yes. Used to go bed very late before classic. Now at 22.00 I am already sleeping, at 5.00 I wake up and start playing. Love to wake up early!
you can solo farm zf from 43 to 53-54 so not really anyone around to take your farm :)

But for real, laughing sisters is a joke.
You can't be serious to farm her. Besides the pull with the druids inside the house, you CANNOT pull more than 3 laughing sisters, because they're too far apart.
Besides that, I dont really know WHY, but laughing sisters resist your attack way more often than normal mobs. I'm level 29 and they resist my frost nova/cone of cold all the time.
Merloc loot is amazing! you can get golden pearls which go on the AH for 15g each! on my realm ive made 200g from them!
The Swamp of Sorrows spiders is low pop zone, i can only pull at most four at a time because of vast spacing of mobs.
You should do aoe farm in silverpine forrest at level 20-22.
Instead of doing quests to 22 in hilsbrad.
Great guide, though I find that I have to come a level or two later than recommended because otherwise in big pulls, one or two mobs always resist frost nova.
do you have the talent which makes your frost spells not as likely to be resisted?
I was 23 trying to fight those farmers and had no luck. Way to powerful

For me, the murloc pull in Dustwallow Marsh was undoable at 34 because their health would not go down very fast
i did it with my Diszi priest worked well im my opinion the best farm spot from the video. =)

deathstrike spiders and murlocs in swamp of sorrows are nowhere near as populated as this video shows, and alot of the spawns are buggy as fuck(murloks only) everytime I frost nova and blink away they insta reset. I assume you made these videos on a private server? very solid video tho, every spot you've suggested besides those 2 so far have worked out awesome

Don't go to dustwallow at level 34, the murlocks will be resisting too much. I recommend going there at 36-37

Fyi alot of these mobs resistances are different in classic then pservers. Like the sisters mom resist magic alot more. And i was higher level then them.

Great video. I love doing my aoe spells and this is going to be an immense help. I would also love to see how you have your screen set up. I love for instance how you have the characters down low and the top of the screen is clean. Instead of having the party character names to top left you have your quest list there and over to the right you've got a nice square full of spells 'n such. Great organization. Mine is a huge mess. Could you maybe share the addons you use and how you have organized your spell bar on the bottom and to the right?

Slimes at 50-52 is INCREDIBLY slow
Great video, however the laughing sisters are not great for aoe farming due to their frost resistance. It's hard to get a decent pull without your frost nova getting resisted.
I hope that you were joking and trolling about the ashenvale farm spot. They are high resist to magic, so good luck with Aoe Farming while they resist all your frost novas.
They weren't like that on pservers and yea this has been gone over many times and has been changed in the written guide. All updates are done there, eventually I can redo the video when I have the time and all updates are done

The laughing sisters have high resistance to frost when I tried farming them.
Also the Murlocs have high resistance to Arcane spells around level 34. Best around 36 to farm there. The Murloc levels range from 34-38.

Don't go laughing sisters on classic hardcore blizzard gave them hilariously high resist for some reason. They will just resist your frost nova the majority of the time.
Sad the zf gy solo didnt get more attention here. I did it from 44 to 51 and its fast and good gold/hr too

I love the swamp of sorrows spots u mentioned unfortunately the murlocs r kinda buggy and reset easily if ur trying to pull the ones between the 2 sets of shacks :(
Please update this. The sisters have really high resistance and will almost always resist your frost nova. Waste of time going there.
They also take like. 33% less frost damage compared to hillsbrad humans, but that place is freaking PACKED, even at 4AM
Many people will never quest here in swamp, watches 10+ 60s running by the spiders.
Thanks for the guide just an FYI i have tried farming the Laughing Sisters at level 28 and even with them being 4 levels lower and having elemental precision (+6%hit) i get constant resists on frost spells. From looking into it they appear to have very high levels of frost resistance. I would avoid this farm at all costs!

8:42 how are you mounted at 20? Video starts with WoW classic launch info so I'm assuming this is for classic aoe farming but you can't get mounts until 40 in classic.

Classic: I pulled Mara Bores groups in 3 separate pulls. First two groups, next two groups, then last three groups. I didn't die and was still able to accomplish in 10-12 mins per run. Also, the bores are not skinnable, only the turtles. Unfortunately, BRD arena has one elite per group and ranged/casters in the groups making it very difficult to impossible.

playing on a horde dominated server as a alliance trying to do this is impossible unless you got ahead of everyone else at the start. dungeons is the way to go
There are a lot of Alliance guides for this out there. While I was looking for a guide, all I could find were Alliance locations.

There is no way in hell you can aoe farm those mobs in lvl 22. (at the farm) they range from lvl 22-26.
I always start it 2 levels above the lowest mob. 24 it's doable but 22 it's near suicide. if you misplayed once you are definitely dead. you are better off questing til 24.
Nah...22 is ok...just get a few mana pots....get buffed by a priest...maybe get a protection scroll and lets go. Did it myself yesterday
Hey guys. I am LV 40 (with mount) now and I am having some problems with the spiders in Swamp of Sorrows. The mobs are far apart and they do not keep aggro! So, when I run to gather them up, 1 o 2 always leave.
How can I mantain Aggro so that I can kill more than 3 or 4 at a time?
just wanted to say that I've found that most of the spots are always full of mages and you are going to run into assholes that are going to break up your pull on purpose so you die and they can pull more mobs so until you can solo definitely not faster than questing.

That would be really convenient, do you mean that you invite your alt to a group, then log on the alt to reset the dung and then log back into the main? If so, great tip

Is it possible to AoE grind level as a mage duo? Me and a mate are leveling mages atm.
It just makes the groups die faster but ur xp is now divided in 2 so u need to pull bigger packs, which is doable, since u have double the cc and dps. But these areas he mentions are already going to have people farming them, solely because there is a youtube video about them now.

Alot of these mobs just evade and run back. the pulls arent as big as they are in thie video.
Rank 1 arcane explosions to keep them from running back. It takes some finesse.
Murlocs at 34? You are doing it with mount and ice barrier at 40+ ... not very useful

this guide is extremely inaccurate the level that you have to be is at least 2 levels more than he suggest... you can't aoe 36-37 level mobs at 34 when they resist everything even when you have all hit talents taken. pretty bullshit guide it is useful only to see aoe farming locations

A lot of this footage is from private servers, I was using pfui which overhauled my entire ui, but i have not found a working version for classic. There are similar addons like elvui but I have not tried them yet. Also as for the damage text, that was the default text but the new classic hasn't recreated the way damage used to look exactly...especially with sticky crits. It really sucks the old text and animations looked way better.
