Nice fishing rod. I have a old telescope rod, the loops only did come of one time, rust on mine. Did have it fixed at a store.
I stumbled across this video which is really cool because I literally just purchased this rod about a week ago. How has yours held up? Still waiting on mines to arrive in the mail.
It works great. Not the fastest reel or most accurate to adjust, but it works fine.

That looks more like a spinning rod with a baitcaster reel seat. Weird.
