Started with Papercut, Ended with Sharp Edges.
Somehow ironic, but still on point.
Full circle.
Hit me hard
Wtf i didn't realize that till now.....
Really it all started with their very first album and their second band name Hybrid Theory EP. It was once Xero without Chaz then Hybrid Theory with Chaz and then Linkin Park.
I don’t care if they’re rock, pop, country, or any other genre. Linkin Park is Linkin Park. Rest In Peace, Chester. You are loved
Everyone complained about their latest album til he passed
Ma che bel commento! 🥰
This is so good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Whispering Wolf” by SLT 🌊 🐺 🤘 🎸🎧
Incorrect
Rock, Metal, with a pinch of Hip Hop, and a tablespoon of Rap.
We call this Linkin Park.
this is folk house
the lyrics are so painful, the melody's so joyful. he pretended everything was fine but we didn't notice it was his goodbye.
That hit hard 😭 he will always hold a place in my heart
He didn't end it
Honestly I don’t see how people didn’t see the suicidal undertones in his music. Theyre full of them
@@lipman19 No one noticed probably because no one was conditioned about the future event. Only he knew if he meant the "suicidal undertones" in his lyrics or actually (considering some conspiracies, which I'm not so sure they're conspiracies and no I'm not talking about the conspiracy surrounding his actual death but the conspiracies that can be interpreted from many LP songs) he knew "they" were gonna get to him, same way "they" got to MJ (if we're to believe the conspiracies surrounding his death and an alleged phone call to 911 moments before his death I think? although it might have been fake) and many other famous people that wanted to "change the world" (help somehow in one way or another, try and inform about whatever was going on, etc).
So, if you think about it, many people in similar circumstances (try and help the world, try and inform about serious topics, technological advances that would destroy whole industries, etc) have died in strange circumstances (I think this is known as a conflict of interests: what these people were/are trying to do go against "the plans of the elite" or however you want to call it if you think there's even a possibility of that being true).
Unless you are of the opinion that conspiracies do not exist and the only problem in the world is just corrupt politics and nothing else (that's cute) I wouldn't be in a hurry and believe what many believe (the "mainstream"). Just to be clear, it is possible that he indeed committed suicide in which case the point I tried to make would still stand.
All I'm saying is, there are many different ways of seeing things (all which may partially be correct), so don't limit yourself to just one or a few of them and definitely try and question what you're told and what you hear (even what I just said, yes, that's the purpose of this wall of text lol). For example, part of the conspiracy surrounding his death is true except the part where "they" get to him, instead he was overwhelmed by all he and his friend were investigating and concluded there was no hope and thus triggering the act.
theres a possibility he was murdered.... search it up...

Wind Rose think alot of people wanted to
Wind Rose Yes, me too
I seen them just 15 days ago for the first time in my life and they were amazing. I am so so grateful I got to see Linkin Park and Chester live and truly am incredibly lucky
Sharp Edges is about growing up, and all the decisions and mistakes we made that define who we are today. Take responsibility, forgive yourself, move on. That is the transition from child to adult, and I know you can do it.
Thank you LP for helping us grow up.
Daniel Chapman well said
Daniel Chapman agreed
Daniel Chapman to me, this entire album sounds like the transition from my mid 20's now to my late 30's. I hear a lot of regrets in the band's lyrics about the affects their music careers took on their loved ones too.
You described it how I would've....
Amen.
Everything in Chester's voice is amazing.
People hated them Because they made pop songs... but nobody focused on the lyrics.... 🙁
True! I love every music whatever genres it is but the lyrics are very important. LP challenge to make this kind of music and it's not bad!
If only those idiots (haters ) did that
I don't believe anyone hated them...if still someone is out ....
Then I am sorry for those dumb ass ...m**her f**ker ass holes

Some toxic metal fans never understood the gem of a lyrics One More Light songs had...
My favorite album is Meteora. But sometimes i really prefer listen One More Light. I am not a "toxic metal fan", i am Linkin Park fan, and I really hate this generalization with the guys who prefer to listen to Hybrid Theory all the time, not everyone is toxic.
@@danielalvews Man, he didnt generalize. He said that "some" toxic metal fans hated on the album just for the change of sound that One More Light had. That's a fact dude, at the time the album released, there was the ones that were bullshiting on it just because the pop, and never cared about the message the songs had. If you were not one of this guys, then this message wasnt for you.
@@living_legacy_7 that's assuming metal fans are the only one who disliked an album because its their opinion on a band they liked. like people are allowed to have opinions, "Toxic" people in general try to gas light and generalise people and are normally the ones complaining about a toxic group or something that's "toxic" but normally want to hate on certain people which is toxic because its creating a group to hate and then publish it to make others hate them because they are the actual toxic person for not allowing freedom of thought. its like saying all pop music sucks compared to in my opinion pop music sucks, because its an opinion rather than a toxic made up fact a person has made. "some toxic metal fans" compared to I don't understand why people disliked this album in my opinion its as good as their best stuff. I'm not going to argue or hate but I'm making a point that this post is bait to create toxicity and attack people due to peoples opinions.
@Dremora it's nice to know that I'm not the only one who's sick of the "Hybrid Theory/Meteora is real Linkin Park" fans. My first album was Minutes to Midnight, the first time they were shifting to a different sound. I think the reason why people hated it is solely because of Heavy.
After what happened today, July the 20th 2017, everything takes on a strange sweet-hearted flavor, like shattered memories. Hopes, fears, pain, desire to continue the fight. And the voice that none of us will ever forget.
This song, this whole album... Now, is just hitting my soul so hard I can become one of that fragment.
See you, man. thanks for everything.
Il Fiore di Carta 👌🖒yeah
AZAM JAMIL You're such an idiot.

Chester did not write these songs tho. Mike and others did starting in 2015. OML album and song was developed around an office worker of theirs who was abruptly diagnosed then died of cancer. Leading them to write about "loss of a loved one" they only later and coincidentally became about Chris and then Chester.
bob si dog yeah we know that thank you for telling the ppl that don't I'm so sick of the bs rumors
I swear Chester has. Like 5 different voices
IKR
I actually saw a tv show once when I was younger that said that he has up to 2-3 vocal tones while he sings at times, which is amazing. Idk how someone's voice can hit more than once note at once, but his can.
I mean, you can always here that it's him tho, he's just using different techniques. If you wanna listen to someone who really has different voices you should consider listening to Dir En Grey, their front man really sounds like different people, if he even sounds human to begin with.
Karleen A
Krul_ 22 nah he has more
People who like this album are the only people who truly listen to the lyrics
i didn't even listen to the lyrics I just loved it (I'm not english so at the beginning when I discovered one more light i didn't really understand the lyrics) (now i know)
the lyrics are the reason I still can hardly listen to it. Some songs I cannot hear at all. I felt this way from the very first time I listened to these songs. After his death ....got even worse.
And the music is also great! The melodies of all the songs are great!
I love all of his songs/albums.

Thank you Linkin Park for giving me years of music I have listened to daily even to this day it is timeless. Chester rest peacefully buddy we love and miss you more than I can say. 🤍
I used to think ending the album with One More Light wouldve been better than some “random number” but then i listened to this. to me, its even more emotional because, in hindsight, this is LP’s last album-and their final piece of music is Chester giving us advice on how to go on with our lives before he himself left. now that’s emotional and its the most beautiful thing.
also the irony here is that their first song was papercut-about paranoia and being afraid, but here chester isnt afraid at all, and shows us what we can do so we dont have to be

For me, this one song was his perfect way to say goodbye, I never comment anything, but today this deserves my most deep thoughts, and I'm here to say that I've grown listening to this band, I'm not the biggest fan of hybrid theory tho, because my admiration for this band is not only based in one or two albums, or the nostalgia that they bring to me, this band represents a lot more for me, and as I heard their changing sound along the years that passed, I kept liking them, feeling what they had to say, giving a welcome to any change and new song they wrote for us, and this song in particular, from their most hated album is for me the perfect last lesson that they could ever give me. Thank you linkin park, and thank you Chester, yours is a big part of my life, and you will always be my teacher. R.I.P. Chester Bennington.
Idk I think leave out all the the rest was really his goodbye even though it came out a while ago.
This was Written by mike in 2015 Chester wrote only one song - not this
if you check their "Making of" albums documentary, they all work together on every single track. And in order it to be published, it should be agreed by every member of LP. But usually Mike and Chester write songs together
This is very well written, and I completely agree. Thanks for this.
I miss you Chester 3years have passed but I still miss you :(
Fun fact:
Chester once said it was his favourite LP song.
If he did, then he either doesn't realize how great most of his past songs were or how horrid this 1 is
@@benouzgane1929 your ignorance of the weight behind the words being sung in a melancholy tone hold. I’m sorry you were unaware of that, but maybe you will have a different understanding of the song and why it was his favorite. A song is so much deeper than the beat. The lyrics, the way they are sung, the music behind them, all come together to create a song. The beat is only a part of the whole picture.
@@davidstevens23 Honestly, my main reason to dislike the album isn't the pop style. My main reason is the decreased in vocals from Mike, the decrease in drumming from Rob and too much copying Minutes to Midnight etc.
@@benouzgane1929 the song isnt horrid. It is just not your preference.
Most of us know that in every LP song, there is a meaning and a message. Their song also brings images.
This particular song portrays a man reminiscing his past and regretting not listening to the advice of his mother. He could do nothing about it because it is already the "past". So instead of succumbing to regrets, he remains positive by deluding himself that "hey, it didn't kill me, so maybe I am stronger".
So IMHO, the upbeat music with an underlying sadness is perfect.
The above is my personal image of the song.

after listening to their new music I felt I underestimated them by showing us the song called "heavy" kinda felt betrayed I was like Linkin Park what you done but now I find this impressive can't wait what they have in store for us with their future albums
It isn't that they're making different music per say, but that's apart of it. This album isn't that good musically, and they're hardly using guitar and drums. On top of that, this is too far of a stray from their original audience's desired music, a completely different genre really even when compared with Living Things and such really. I personally would give it like a 6/10 because even in the genre it's in it's not amazing or anything, it's just adequate. It's not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be, but it's definitely not very good. They could do a whole lot better. Their worst album for sure, but to be fair that's just because their other albums are really good for the most part.

Their music intertwines with some of my best childhood memories all the way into adulthood. I loved every album. I hope they continue and draw inspiration from this horrible tragedy.
I realise that this song is basically Chester singing to and about that bleached blonde hybrid theory guy growing up and becoming who he is today.
I really fucking hated this song but when I finally listened I understood, I felt every single word.
"Put your nose on paperbacks instead of smoking cigarettes"
Most mature album they have to date. This album is mostly about them and their personal struggles. It's pop but the lyrics are extremely high class.
synx too bad nobody appreciated it while he was still alive
alyssa orozco I did
i did.......
synx been listening since i was 5.. could never understand the hate because now at 22 years i have grown and matured and this latest album has hit the spot.
alyssa orozco I appreciated every single song of the album since it came out... know why? 'Cause it's Linkin Park and they CAN'T produce bad songs doesn't matter what kind of genre they decide to..."use"(?!)... I feel it's not fair to say nobody appreciated it because I'm 100% sure there's other people that supported them and appreciated the album since it was published. But still, too bad that MOST of people couldn't appreciate it.
R.I.P Chester you'll always be loved and missed.
BTW, sorry if I made any mistakes I'm not english/american/irish etc (you know what I mean... english native speaker XD). Have a nice day :)
today's the year since my mums died. and here I am drunk af crying again both for her and Chester.
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Legends never die we miss you so much Chester ❤️❤️❤️
Mama always told me don’t you run
Don’t you run with scissors, son
You’re gonna hurt someone
Mama told me look before you leap
Always think before you speak, and watch the friends you keep
Stay along the beaten path, never listened when she said
Sharp edges have consequences
I guess that I had to find out for myself
Sharp edges have consequences
Now every scar is a story I can tell
Should’ve played safer from the start
Loved you like a house of cards
Let it fall apart
But all the things I couldn’t understand
Never could’ve planned
They made me who I am
Put your nose on paperbacks
Instead of smoking cigarettes
These years you’re never getting back
Stay along the beaten path, never listened when she said
Sharp edges have consequences
I guess that I had to find out for myself
Sharp edges have consequences
Now every scar is a story I can tell
We all fall down
We live somehow
We learn what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger
We all fall down
We live somehow
We learn what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger
Ooh
Stay along the beaten path, never listened when she said
Sharp edges have consequences
I guess that I had to find out for myself
Sharp edges have consequences
Now every scar is a story I can tell
We all fall down
We live somehow
We learn what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger
We all fall down
We live somehow
We learn what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger, ooh
Mohammad Fauzi thanks
Thanks for lyrycs
Mohammad Fauzi
👍👍👍
Mohammad Fauzi I misssssss Chester 😔😰 ohhhhhh fly higher and ohhhhh
chester has such a good voice
Poeta Falhado Im pretty sure..he has like 5 diff voices...
Linkin Park basically describes everyone's life. Like first two albums are like teenage angst and young adult problems. And final album represents responsible mature human. It's like the entire Linkin Park album represent human life.
Sharp edges, scars... this is a song about self harm
Yep
and more generally, lessons learned the hard way
I've never mourned so much the death of a celebrity. I've never met him, but he feels so close. When I bought my first music player in my life , the first song I loaded was 'In the end'. Linkin park was basically all I knew all through my childhood. I'll never forget you man. :(
ImpendingDisaster Guy you're not alone on this one.
ImpendingDisaster Guy same here it was burn it down then like I listed to all the new songs and like he is a legend and that is why nobody will forget him. R.I.P Chester
My heart aches listening to this album...
Jam & Jelly Sunshine so do I
Agreed
Knowing this is the last track of the last album destroys me, like if it was a cry for help.
My favourite song of this album. I always cry listening to it
Same man same
I was crying whilst sharing this song with my wife. I think she understands me a bit more now.
We all fall down, We live somehow,
We learn what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger.
#RIP
Kubík Kašpar damn lines ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
Unfortunately, depression didn't make him stronger. I'd like to say that I feel we can all be depressed, it just can't overtake
+Jorgen Jr. Depression IS fighting, and actually does make a person stronger.
bob si dog yes it gives strength, but fight till the end
+Jorgen Jr. Everyone with a brain has depression - we all do. Making people fear it or calling it a disease will not fix or prevent suicides.
He mentioned in one of his last interviews that this song was one of his favorite Linkin Park songs from all time :)
Itzel Aceves Link of the interview plz?
yes please
I've been in love with this song since I first heard it. Care to share the interview? xo
*one of his favorite*
Mine too....this song has so many messages. I love the song for so many reasons
Today 2 years ago... We will never forget you Chester!
This is where my heart breaks, my throat closes, it was practically the end of an era: (💔
We miss you Chester, you will always be in our hearts 😭❤
the first song I heard from linkin park is “one more light” my grandpa picked that song for my brothers funeral in December 2017 I looked into the song & I found out about Chester so sad that I’m barley listening to their music & I can’t thank him because he’s gone 😭! maybe he rest in paradise 👼🏼
isabella lopez I’m sorry my friend...
LINKIN PARK ❤
Love from India 😄
You're not alone bruh
hope LP comes to India this year.
LPsoldier for life
hope LP comes to India this year.
LPsoldier for life
rohith ravindran Indian 🙌🙌🙌
Ayush Mishra... Amen bro... Amen
It's kinda sad the fan base never saw Chester slowly leaving us song by song because we were too focused on the genre rather than the lyrics...
This entire Album is a musical letter by Chester, saying his final Goodbye to the world. RIP bro🖤
Well said.
It's kinda sad that you don't check who wrote the actual songs. Chester wasn't the one.
This is so good but you must hear “The Wave” or “Live Not Survive” by SLT 🌊 🤘
When I heard this song first time I thought what is this instead rock . But now I understand what meaning behind this song . I went to hear one more light album more than Linkin park other albums
Having an aunt , an uncle and a father all lost to suicide ... linkin Park and Chester always have been a favorite of mine but this album makes you realize the internal struggle he definitely had . Suicide sucks .
David Snyder I lost my uncle to suicide in 2009. It was all because his wife pressuring him for so many things he didn’t even do.
Sorry to hear about that guys R.I.L to your family members and chester
This is one of those songs that make me feel so many conflicting emotions at the same time. The happy sound but deep and meaningful lyrics are combined so perfectly.
Same
One of if not my absolute fav lyrics from the album... No words. Insanely incredible! RIP Chazzy Chester Chez Bennington🕊️🎤✌🏻💜
Chester's voice is something magical!
dont understand how fans of linkin park never liked there new stuff untill chester passed, its pefect
many of us were trapped in the past but then reality hits and made them see one more light in a different way
You don't know what you have till you lose it. Losing chester hit me hard as Linkin park was a major part of my like from the beginning. When I heard he was gone, I finally listened to this cd, and it broke my heart.
your right should of loved it from the start
Yeah so true
karl wilson proud to say i supported them even when everybody was hating
This is my favorite song from the album. It's a complete new sound from Linkin Park. I like it.
R.I.P Chester, you will be missed.
my favorite mabye Good GoodBye
Alpha 707 Mines 'One More Light' simply because of the lyrics. lol
Ever heard the acoustic Version of Final Masquerade?
I was crying when I heard it acoustic Version of Final Masquerade.
Its kinda similar to the Messenger and the little things give you away.
These songs are amazing. I feel like I'm looking back at beautiful memories of the past. This music never goes out of style
When I hurt I listened to them, when I was happy I listened to them. Any and every mood they where and still are there for me. Forever will be missed!
'One More Light' is The new album.
Nobody Can Save Me
Good Goodbye
Talking To Myself
Battle Symphony
Invisible
Heavy
Sorry For Now
Halfway Right
One More Light
Sharp Edges
the title of the songs looks like a suicide note :(
Good my brother👍
the names of the songs, HOW COULD NOBODY SEE THAT HE WAS NOT OKAY?
@@pedrosm0459 Because he seemed so happy. Talinda Bennington was right "Depression doesn't have a face"
I love One More Light,is my favourite álbum.
Best part : Every scar is a story I can tell.
Gonna listen on repeat till it hits 21M views...
Reason for such a specific number?
Dew it
we made it
We made it dude
Just like the song title Busta Rhymes chose for his collab with Linkin Park "We Made It"
every song of this album is pure gold. he put all emotions in this album. miss him 😞.
If you mean pure gold trash, you're right
Such a good album. People may say this doesn't sound Linkin Park, but man they did make a meaningful album that's for sure ❤️
How can something not sound like Linkin Park when its created and performed by Linkin Park
Because in spite of Breaking the habit being released in 2003, people STILL have trouble grasping that Linkin Park is about more than just rock vocals, distorded power chords and rapping combined.
I don't know why I get so sad and lonely type feeling when I listen to this song...
you're not the only one
Yeah... i'm here too
Same
nobody else does either...
For some reason, I find this song really uplifting. Like, everything’s going to be ok 🙂.
Bruh, i just realized that i listened to this song the whole night, i dont regret it tho, this song is so beautiful
Nearly cried the first time I heard this song. It randomly came up on Spotify and shocked me. 😭❤
Dear Chester,
"In the end" your body is "numb" but you have "no more sorrow". "Breaking the habit" was difficult for you, but you were always "one step closer". Your voice will be always "crawling" on me "from the inside" till the day I "faint".
Rock in Peace Chaz, gone but never forgotten....
Natalie Hawkins Well, I like yours...
Nefeli Provata that's very deep.
Nefeli Provata, you are the best, man. Very impressive 🤘🖤😢
gone but never "forgotten"...
that was beautiful❤❤(ಥ﹏ಥ)
"put your nose in paper backs instead of smoking ciggerates, these are the years you're never getting back"
Back here again, again, and again. What a beautiful lyrics and melody.
I love every single song of this band, just imagine how many others amazing musics chester could make.. man i still can't belive..
Song written by Ilsey Juber and Mike Shinoda, not Chester tho
this honestly is a very good song
don't care if it's a lot like pop
Music is always amazing if it changes and that's why Linkin Park is one of the greats
yeah man
I totally agree
Bishal Subedi it's honestly not like pop. if it were it wouldn't have any meaning :)
Bishal Subedi I love pop and I love this
This is not pop. It is more country if anything at all.
R.I.P Chester Bennington, I hope you're not suffering anymore.
He made a rope from his money.. he aint suffer dog
Chilli Roach stfu
Chilli Roach What the fuck is wrong with you
Nothing. Thah is why i am still here. You cant say the same about Chester.
Chilli Roach Ouch.
To everyone out there who thinks OML isn't good, all I can say is when someone is depressed that soothing tune along with the deep meaning of oml songs just heals you
This song’s something that the young need to learn from. Live life clean and simple. When you’re young study well, have good friends and play sports. Then in college start getting a bit more serious about your career and see what your passionate about. Then in your 20s get to work and get a partner who you would like to spend the rest of your life with. As the song suggests, there’s a lot of temptation to run off the beaten path and give in to your inner vices, but that’s exactly what you need to get away from coz you’ll not get those years back. Unless you want to find it out for yourself
This song sounds like something that would play in the end credits of a movie. In this case, it's Chester's life, Linkin Park's legacy and most of our memories growing up with this band.
AWDTH1111 already an ending song of a movie
Shutong Chen which movie?
The Adventurers movie (2017)
This comment really made me think of this song completely different.
Its a movie's ending song!
sharp edges have consequences now.. rip chazzy
:(
I lost my best friend. Nothing will ever be the same.
My condolences. Stay Strong.
Me 2
I miss him so much. I cry everyday for him. You just don't get how much I loved him.
In a philosophically elaborate way, the theme of the song might be "f-ck around and find out".
Such a wonderful song
