Personally, I think this video is about coming to terms with problems.
I think the boy represents all the bad things/problems that have happened to the girl or maybe representing the bad things/problems she has caused... Maybe even both? He is dressed entirely in black, and looming - following her and giving no reactions to anything she does.
The girl on the other hand is dressed in white (maybe representing hope, innocence or purity?). She constantly moves and looks very confused when the male gives no indication he sees her. Just continues the discount t-posing.
I think her dancing is metaphorical her trying to distract herself or running away from these problems. But the thing is, the male never goes away or even alleviates. It remains a constant looming presence regardless of how hard she tries.
In the small intermission, where she is posed with her leg up, she is no longer dynamic, she is in stasis, much like the male. Also this is the only time we see tge male actually "move". I think this symbolises her trying to hide from her problems but it doesn't work. Then we see her give her most daring performance to which the male begins to levitate higher, signaling that maybe her methods of distraction or fleeing are working, only for him to return back the way he was. No matter how hard she tries , his presence will continue to loom.
In the end, probably realising that the only way to eacape his presence is to accept it (the only way to really escape her problems is to come to terms with them), she bows to the male and he collapses, no longer a looming presence.
Idk... Just a little theory.

Seems really female dissapointed after any action she made without any positive result . And finally when she dance "goodbye" as last action she able to do is finish everything .Then the man falls down and she goes away out of relations and problems.

My interpretation of the video: the boy is depressive, already dead in this relationship and the girl is still trying to wake him, sometimes trying to activate him, but living her own live, not letting herself getting too involved. I didn't understand the video at all, but I love the music and her ballet. Her ballet is absolutely impressive!
I see it as a previously broken man, who has cared to much in the past. He now looks as if he is uninterested (only shows his love differently because he is scared to be hurt again) and in the end, that is not enough and she leaves him. Final blow to him and he dies inside for good.

My thoughts on the meaning of the video is that the motionless guy symbolizes a dead love, or love that leads nowhere, or a partner that stopped caring about his lover. While the girl symbolizes a person in the relationship that still cares, or doesn't want to believe that their love is over, and does everything and more in attempt to make things work. In the end she realizes it doesn't worth it and it is meaningless, so she bows and goes away, which is the way of saying "I've done what I could, that's enough for me, now I am over it". And the guy falling on the ground symbolizes that at that moment everything really becomes over.
Just my thoughts, maybe Imagine Dragons put completely different meaning in it though :)

Imagine Dragons videos are always on a completely different level than what you'd expect from other artists and that's what I love about them. They don't do the expected in my opinion when it comes to their music videos and I love every second of it.

A relationship is like a dance - both partners have responsibility to make things work. I understand the dance from both perspectives: the boy has fallen out of love & finally has the courage to tell the girl it's not working anymore. Maybe he's tried to make it work in the past but all it's doing is forcing the love when it's not there & that's bad for the both of them. I do not think this is about someone whose heart is not in the relationship.... imo. This is about a person seeing something in someone else that is not really there, and the struggle that person has to face knowing they do not want to let the other person down, but also know they will never be the perfect paradise that that person sees them as. This song is about letting someone know the true you and that you are and not the "perfect" person we all strive to be around others.
"Now you know, You're free to go" is telling someone that you need to accept me for what I really am because I am a bad liar and I cannot keep letting you believe I am something I am not. So it is not so much that one person does not care about the other or the relationship, but that one cannot keep hiding and pretending anymore and is saying either accept me for what and who I really am or you are free now.

She met him when he was on the edge of despair grasping for some hope. She tried to be encouraging and supportive, so that maybe he could see life differently but instead she became his only hope. Holding on moreso mesmerized by her talent, ways, beauty, to which she kept sharing constantly with him. He found life and purpose in her but not in himself despite all her best efforts. In many ways this song stops my heart, so many facets to it yet it is simply a depiction of fading relationship, love that has become one sided or stagnant, dead , exhausted in one heart. Still the other tries to revive it or blame love itself for the humiliation, pain, hurt and inability to leave or accept the separation. Now we are not certain whether her giving up , or his evaporation caused the end to this story. There we the audience feel the heartache, our own losses that we had had experienced, seen in our own lives. The two actors were casted beautifully, so apt for those characters. The girl is strong and determined, the boy is sensitive and lost but their love is something very special worth preserving, adorable yet tragic. ❤
