Yeah, it's raw box audio, says so at the start. If you watch the actual episodes it's mixed, edited, and has audio balancing/music, etc.

For me it's the arthropod-tank form of Chomp, save for the hammer arm, which looks a little tacked-on.
Skorpios looks like it could be quite effective if its blade wasn't so flimsy.
The motor doesn't have enough torque so as soon as it starts grinding through metal the blade stops and can't turn
@@tehlyingcake1096 it’s not just that, the blade is metal, it will never cut through metal… it will always jam up and stop. They would need a metal cutting disc like on an angle grinder if they really want to cut into metal… the issue with that is that they break pretty easily you can snap it in half using your hands … just not a great weapon overall imo

I'd really love to see a fight between the current deathroll and skorpios, both have improved so much since this videos.
This was a good rumble between three bots who we didn't get to see a lot out of since they were taken out early in the tournament, they did an excellent job out there.

I like how much advanced the public reception of these events. The crowd from here it's so quiet and in Vengeance in Vegas it's cheerful and funny (I'm still loving hearing it in the chair fight).
BB evolved a lot from this to 2022.

If that was going to stop anything from coming back, you'd think it'd be, you know, Nightmare. And the collision there involved only two bots, it could happen in a normal match.

Whoa, so the Hellraisers actually DO work? I don't recall seeing them once in the main season.
They don't seem to use any of the original traps now. Either they don't work, or they need people that'll pay attention to the fight so they can activate the traps at the right time.
I miss the original operator. The guy was a sadist. They were used in every battle.

No, they're all automatic now and they are used(I think for the Round of 16) in the last minute or so.

It’s weird to see Death Roll get trashed here after seeing him go undefeated to the quarterfinals
Deathroll got so unlucky here... They had both Bucktooth, and Scorpios until they got high centerd on the rails.

I came here from the Megabot vs Sudobashi 'fight'.
This was significantly better.
That was a surprisingly good battle considering the robots taking part. All three robots both dished out and received a massive amount of damage, with Skorpios taking the win due to sheer engineering reliability and toughness. Assessing their performances:
In all honesty, Bucktooth Burl caught a really bad break in the series itself, with their weapon failing to work during their qualifier battle against the frankly pathetic Chrome Fly, causing them to lose the judges' decision. It really packs a punch, although they suffered from vulnerable tires here.
As an Australian, I've always been ashamed of our combat robots, which have never been anything more than a joke in all my experience, and Deathroll was no different when Captain Shrederator ate it alive. I'm honestly amazed they managed to put it back together into working order by the time this battle happened, although at first I thought the weapon was still broken, since they entered the battle rear-end first and the weapon wasn't spinning- I thought they were heading for a direct repeat of before. But eventually they got it spinning and it actually dished out some _nasty_ hits. Still, it's a lousy bot overall, overdesigned to no real purpose, with all that ornamental tat that solely exists to be ripped off. At least it got a bit of a better showing here.
Skorpios really shows how horribly unlucky it was in its qualifier, where it accidentally crashed into the deactivated screws at the start of the fight and was simply stuck there for the entire battle, unable to free itself. The cutting arm is modestly damaging, but the disc is obviously far too fragile and got badly busted. Still, the robot itself took hit after hit and hit and kept on racing around at top speed like a formula one race car, even when it was disarmed, making ramming attacks even directly into Bucktooth Burl's still-active weapon. Serious balls, they earned this win.
You should have noticed we were using a different blade.

The funny thing is that Deathroll and Skorpios both became really OP and powerful bots while Bucktooth just faded away into obscurity

More destruction in this one rumble than the entire first season of Robot Bores.
+Tiberian Fiend New or old Robot Wars? In the Old Robot wars they banned robots with powerful weapons they deemed too powerful or dangerous such as Mauler and SOW. New Robot Wars has some decent decent destruction with robots like Carbide and Pulsar.
+J13Arrowz only on the early series were Mauler and SoW banned they actually competed in a pilot episode for the US that never ended up happening :(
I'm sure Robot wars attracted a higher viewing percentage than this season of Battlebots did?
+Ramming Speed no it didn't but it was its first season so it was unlikely, it was really good though but BB s2 was better. At the moment it's on par with the first series of the BB reboot so things bode well for the future!
+SpitfireFourtyFour I know it was only in the original they were banned, if it was like that in the new we wouldn't have had the pleasure of watching Carbide rip the other robots to shreds. I really loved it and I can't wait for next season. From what I heard Hypno-Disc was going to compete this year but they didn't have enough time to make it competitive against modern robots, so maybe they'll be in next year. And hopefully Razer won't fall into the pit in the first fight of the season again :/
Some of these Robot fights are really funny, especially when there is a bot that looks like a crocodile.
I finally decided after watching several of these I prefer the commentary.
It feels weird watching this expecting the "OH!!!!!!!!!!" after every hit. And now I know why we need the commentary.
