    Thanks for the honest review! The plain steel shims are there for a reason. The SawStop wants conductive blades to detect skin contact. If you had plastic shims it would isolate the blades and chippers from each other possibly interfering with detection.
    Also note, SawStop does NOT recommend using that Infinity Dadonator set or any other set with disc shaped chippers. There is enough extra mass in those chippers that it can damage your saw if you have an activation. (bent arbor shaft or worse)

      The new Dadonator XL does meet Sawstop guidelines, but you are right the original Dadonator does not. Thanks.

    Thank you what a great review. I wish for box joint performance, however.

    thanks for this in depth review. can I ask you why the full sac fence isn't that a bit dangerous, why not have it stop short of the blade cut so you can measure your stop then push the miter through without any chance of forced coming from the right side

      No problem. I also have video reviews of the Infinity Dadonator XL and Whiteside Plus dado blades. Good luck deciding on you next blade!

    Can you recommend a magnetic shim set that will fit in the case?

      I use Forrest magnetic shims. I don't know if they fit in the case, I keep them in my TS cabinet. I think they're larger diameter than most steel shims. Best.

    Does your Infinity Dado stack work well on the SawStop? Helpful video - thanks!

      Hi Doug,
      Yes the Infinity Dadonator is the best dado stack I've used in terms of cut quality. It does cut well on the Sawstop, although it's not exactly approved due to higher weight and tooth style etc.
      Best

    @8:58 10 1000ths of an inch?! Thank goodness it wasn’t 2/32 or even 4/8ths!

      It looks like you caught me in an improper fraction. Good catch.

      @@TheThoughtfulWoodworker I don't understand the problem. You said 10/1,000 of an inch or 1/100 isn't that measurement you noticed? what is wrong with that fraction?

    • @TheThoughtfulWoodworker
      @TheThoughtfulWoodworker  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think there was anything wrong with it technically. The guy commenting didn't like that I called it thousandths but I tend to think in thous instead of hundredths of an inch. Thanks.
