Liquid Crystal stuff is always so amazing to me, I’m not so sure if it’s the delicacy in which it needs to be treated for maximum effectiveness or if it’s just the colourful outcome but it’s well worth watching
Evan & Katlyn used this stuff but they made a toilet seat out of it. They sprayed it on a black toilet seat and did many coats. Then they put a layer of resin over the toilet seat and when it was all dry they put it on their toilet. The results were great when they sat down. I'm definitely doing this to our small half bath on our main floor. The walls are filled with dry-erase board and we have a shelf filled with markers so people can contribute. A seat like that will fit nicely in our bathroom. Thank you for doing this project. It definitely kindled my creative urges to work on that project. I still need to buy the supplies including something to spray the paint with.
I actually bought liquid crystal for a resin project but haven’t figured out how to use it yet. Thank you for showing me how to properly use it in this video.
Was watching the butterfly casting and thinking how sometimes museums will have magnifying glass to see the details and thought what effect it would have in the resin. Btw me and my son live to watch your vidys!
Hi Ben 🙋...too cool as always..👍😉... Especially liked the precision measurements when you mixed the 5 minute epoxy..lol... Beautiful results...see ya in the next video...🌿🌿🌿
This video was worth waiting for (as are all of them) because I think you've outdone yourself again, my friend. Just when I think "What else can he possibly do?", you pull this project out. I'd give it a million likes and views if I could. Amazing job, Ben.
At first when you first finished it I was like ok. Now what?!? But then the color change started and I was like What, OMG. I didn't see that coming. I was not prepared for how beautiful it is. Great job yet again Ben!
Use a copper inlay of your logo in the mood-ball before applying a concealing black layer again. Then add the color changing pigment. Logo will show up when heated/cooled. Good for giving the ball an orientation as well so ppl can decide to have it show the logo or put it down on the stand.
I watch your videos every week and I love your creativity, skills and eye for detail. And of course your Australian accent and personality :) Thanks for this channel and have a good weekend.
I love your Videos Ben. At least sometimes the F.B. algorithms get it right. It's something I just couldn't afford to do... as well as you do it with tooling etc. Plus experience! Really my favourite part was that black Sharpie trick you did. Marking the circumference. Such a little thing, that may only save you half a second and make things just a tiny bit easier. Everything you do is so time consuming, it adds up fast! I stumbled on your page after researching 2 part resin after giving Acrylic paint pour art a try. I'm super artistically minded and always doing something. I really appreciate you showing when something just doesn't work out and you and explain what happened or what you feel went wrong. I'm an Auto Technician and into electronics and 80's stuff, woodworking etc. So your videos really check all the boxes. I also find them quite relaxing. Cheers!
One of the few channels that cam actually keep my attention fixed on what they're doing. I absolutely love this and have no regrets voting for this!! You do amazing work keep it up!! Godbless
Well done Good Sir, Thank you for this. Would it be worth trying to drop the pigment raw into resin then use a light source to activate it? Might make a trippy Lamp.
That turned out really cool, Ben. Watching the colour shift when you hit it with the hot air and water was almost mesmerizing. Awesome vid, and I look forward to seeing what else you cook up to do with that product 👍
Awesome Ben...I have been in the paint biz my whole life...Just like polishing epoxy, you can wet sand polish that clear as well...Takes out all the orange peel...But you probably already knew that...Have you done a video on the natural habitat of that wood you use?
A slightly smaller size would make a pretty cool shift knob. Good job once again Ben! I wonder if you could cast a clear sphere, then cast that again in the black resin and turn a sphere again so the black layer is thin. Then put an LED in the middle. It's be pretty complicated but may look cool
Great job on this project. I know it a little trick but I was impressed on how you made your center line. A tiny smudge and a turn, so simple. BTW have you ever made a shop tour video. I’d like to see your shop set up and tools of the trade so to speak. Cheers.
Hey Ben That was so cool. Another good video🙂 I like your new shop shirt, good thing they sell them with Ben on it or another employee would have been wearing it...😉 Happy weekend🙂
Ben, the black pigment made me think that it would be really cool if you used vantablack/blackest black pigment on resin to see what it would do. it's a material that absorbs a ton of light making it super, super black.
Check out my huge mistake ➡️ th-cam.com/video/nxkD9uZ_hY0/w-d-xo.html
Oh dear, I hope it's a Rick roll and not a mistake :) 🙏

I would like to see you try plumbers caulk
That stuff would make a cool shifter knob.
Yeah definitely 👍
It’s all fun and games till you wake up one morning to go to work and see a handprint that isn’t yours on it
That's what she said. Lol, could not stop myself. Oy.

At 3 minutes 27 seconds that looks so cool I think with the black and the scraping which is a lighter color has kind of a zigzag effect.

I agree
@@justyouraveragezoomer thanks!
@@FreakingPlane yes
It looks really cool! I think that stuff would be fun to do some experiments with.
Thanks Mate 😊👍

Very pretty sphere, Ben! Great job!
I thought of evan and kaitlyn when they did the mood ring toilet seat when Ben said what he was doing
and the controller.
and the keyboard.
