Hahaha. I don't know if we'd say if it's one of the worst, but it seems to have changed quite a lot since it was sold to "Restaurant Brands International". It was much more simple 10 years ago. I do feel like they're trying to do too much, rather than focusing on what they're (debatably) good at.
@@wherearewe-yt I used to have a few double doubles per week. After living in Europe and having real coffee for 6 months, I would not drink that ever again. And the food, it is nothing short of horrible fast food processed stuff. I have detached from that stuff now, it is a mere memory. That is how bad it actually is in my view. A sausage Pattie in a sandwich that is made in 30 seconds with egg to make your sandwich? No thanks. 50 cents is 59 cents too much for that.
Yup. They treat their franchisees bad, who in turn treat workers like crap. They take the customers for granted. To say the food is mediocre would be a compliment.
I'll still choose it over Starbucks or any fancy place. Tim Horton is awesome. A real person with a franchise now all over. The hockey community respects him and it was the #1 thing every kid got with their parents before or after a game. So good
@@colejarvis666 that doesn’t make it good coffee. Good coffee, the world over, never comes from a drip machine and filter. That is absurd. That’s a North American thing to save money and make more coffee portions at less cost, nothing else. Places where coffee is a fabric is society would be repulsed at this way of making coffee. Nobody else drinks these giant mugs of watered down coffee with piles of cream and sugar.
The first Tim Hortons outside of Canada was in the Buffalo, NY area. actually the first US restaurant opened in 1985 in Amherst, New York a suburb of Buffalo. 3820 Ridge Lea Rd, Buffalo, NY 14228
That makes sense! It's close to the border. I honestly only thought it was in the last decade or two that they came to the USA. It's so strange to see them when we travel the world. Soon we will be in the UAE, and we are definitely planning on visiting one there. They even have them in SE Asia now, where we are also going to go soon. It's super interesting to see how the menus change by location.
I wouldn't say Tim Hortons coffee tastes like water, but it certainly has a specific "taste" to it. As far as fast food coffee goes, McDonald's is much better, IMO. Though I don't often order fast food coffee, to be honest!
I subscribe to the magic geekdom They mentioned you I am just watching your London food experience. Enjoying watching you too .you are a lovely friendly couple. Looking forward to watching more of your videos. I am Kevin from Vauxhall London. What are your names? Where did you meet? Are you a couple? Where are you both from?
Yeah, they're acquaintances/ friends of ours! We talk with them on our socials, and met up with them when we visit Budapest. Thanks, Kevin! We're Brandon and Anja, and yes, we're a couple. Been together over 10 years. I'm Canadian and Anja is German. We met in Canada, but have since lived in 8 countries together.
I’ve been too several European countries but never been outside of Europe. My thoughts of Canada is much better place to live than America cold and a lot of snow and Germany best country in Europe but seen the rise of far right parties seems to be happening in a few western countries unfortunatelywe have just kissed goodbye to our horrible conservative government. Thankfully I am devastated about Brexit massive mistake for the UK. The majority have seen this and want to rejoin. Hopefully it will happen one day. I miss my freedom of movement it feels like a sad divorce
Yeah, that's what we've been hearing! The AFD have been growing quite a bit in the East. Anja is from Berlin, which is easily one of the most liberal cities in the country. We lived there together for two years, and I really loved it. We're currently visiting Germany now. It's always nice to come back and visit!
@@wherearewe-yt So interesting! My husband and I married young; I was 19 and he was 23, right out of college. We had three kids and didn't travel as much as we wanted to. Now we're old--he's 80, I'm 76. So travel while you're young. And safe travels!
@@DeborahDavis-v6n I had only traveled to France and the US before Anja and I had met. Twelve years later, and we've traveled to 51 countries together! We're trying to see as much as we can, while we're healthy enough to be able to do so. 🙂 Thanks!
Canada is technically our "home-base" - but in reality, we don't have one! We're in the midst of traveling full time. We will be here in Europe for the next few months, but we're our way towards SE Asia, where we will be for a while.
Once they got bought, everything changed. They’re trying to compete with Starbucks and McDonalds. They forgot the basics of what made them great. It’s really too bad.
Totally agree! I think they need to stick to the products that made them Canada's favorite coffee chain. By the looks of the comments, most people seem to hate Tim's now. They're trying way too much, and the new products miss far more often than they hit. I still really enjoyed most of the classics - but that could just be the nostalgia. Hahaha.
@@wherearewe-ytWhen I heard they did pizza I thought it was a joke. But then seeing reviews it reminded me of my first pizza I made in Homeec class in High School. There has been a pretty obvious decline that we've noticed as well. Tim Hortons has this nostalgia factor for Canadians, but the truth is, there are better coffee places and better fast food places out there. Timbits and Iced Capps will always hit the spot, though!
Hahaha. Not a SINGLE person has said anything good about Tim's yet. It used to be one of Canada's most beloved franchises, back in the day. It seems a lot has changed in the past 10 years or so!
Oh Reuben! Glad he got his cameo before he left us ❤
He did indeed! He was helping us film. He was even trying to partake in the soup taste testing. 🐈
Kudos to you making a video at one of the world’s worst food chains ever.

The roast beef craveable is my go to for a quick sandwich on the go

If you’re buying anything other than coffee and the occasional bagel you’re doing it wrong!
Most of their breakfast stuff is decent, but a lot of the dinner items are just "meh". Same goes for the majority of those grocery items! Hahaha.
