what the lady didnt mention was that fact that there was already a pilot by Israel withdrawing from Gaza, the palestinian , instead of moving towards a state , voted for Hamas and then they started firing rockets to Israel, for the first two years, there was not siege (so dont use this as an excuse) this pilot failed, so expecting now Israel to do the same in the west back and relay that the palestinian will lay down their weapons its a stupidity if not a suicide act.

My grandfather was under actual occupation by the Germans, when in the Dutch Resistance. Weirdly, he defected against the Germans, which was the dangerous thing to do, and saved Jewish people's lives. The only occupation of Gaza is from Hamas, and I see no mass defection. The only reason Israeli military presence is there, is to protect their border from missiles, and terrorist attacks. No talk of telling Hamas/ Hezbollah to stop, means continued military presence. Common sense prevails.
