What I really enjoyed by all 3 players is coming in and not just doing their job, but being the best players involved in the game.
It was nice to see all the singles scored in the early part of the innings. It gave a better idea of how the game is played than just showing boundaries and wickets.
This might be Brook's best innings so far, given the quality of bowling and the match situation. Fantastic to see.
Yes this was better than any hundred he’d scored. Those hundreds were quite loose innings where he was just smashing the ball all around the ground. And it’s okay to be able to do that. But this innings he showed a level of control which we hadn’t seen in this series against high quality quick bowling. At 23 to walk out your team in trouble needing like 100 to win and then to totally own the game against the best team in the world for his age is ridiculous. I’m telling you in the next 5 years he will become one of the best batsmen around.
Also shout out to Mo Ali who saw in the first innings when the ball swung a bit brook nicked of for 3 runs batting at 3 to chuck himself in the deep end like that and protect him which then allows brook to play his game his way at number 5. The second coming of KP, what a lad we have. If he just works on polishing up his technique to short balls we will have one of the most complete batters in the world.

The fact that England only just won this match despite having the best of the batting conditions and bowling conditions all game and the Aussie batsmen not firing for the most part should be worrying. They were handed this match on a silver platter and just barely scraped across the line. If the Aussies lift just 10% I think England are in trouble.

Brook is a fantastic batsman, but needs to learn to decide when bazballl or "cricket" are the right options. He certainly will, and when he does he will, I am sure, enjoy many big scores.
Hopefully we dont get the disrespect towards the Aussies for being cheats that has been dished out for the last couple of tests...
Especially when England have cheated at times themselves...as left a pretty sour taste on the Australians fans at home.

How can you prepare for 95 mph swing bowling. Fact is Khawaja is in terrific nick, so to clean bowl his leg stump you got to bowl some brute of a delivery. And yes they were desperate but also given the quality of team we played against you can say this is a historic victory.
