Dude this is the EXACT comparison I was looking for. I thought that my ID-Cooling fan might be a little loud, but wasn't sure if the Noctua would actually make that big of a difference or not. I bought the notuca, thank you!

Glad I could help! The new fan is indeed much better

    Very nice!
You can't beat lower temps + lower noise

Cool video, do you think having a fan that is made for static pressure, instead of airflow would perform better? like it can pull heat from your heatsink better.

You would think so but no, Noctua says their A series are great CPU fans too.

I have the same fan but I'm using it as an extra cooling fan. If I want heat going out of my pc, label should be down?

Label should point towards the outside of PC then

youre using the low noise adapter?

No without it, don't need it with PMW control custom curve.

can i use it as an exhaust fan

Yes that works too but the standard AF12 (25mm) is a bit better

I don't really care about the noise of my build because I'm always wearing noise cancelling headphones when I'm using it anyways.. I think the real draw to this for me is the slimness of it (if that's even a word) At the moment I have a coolermaster hyper 212 which looks massive in my itx case.. The main problem with it though is the fan is really thick and covers up one of my ram sticks, I'm planning on putting new ram in which will be RGB and a little bit taller, but I cant do that with the chunky fan I have on it right now, hopefully this will do the trick
