Omg I just thrifted randomly this camera and i'm thrilled ! Even tho i fear to have the same pb as you about the film, i can't wait to test it. Thank you for this video !
Dunno if you've figured it out yet, but with film, color and grain are mostly products of the emulsion and development processes used. Lenses can effect color rendition, but outside of some very, very old designs, glass is mostly a nonfactor.
I never use expired film to test a camera. If pictures are screwed up, you can not determine if it was the camera or the film that caused this. Although, thanks for the upload. 👍
I recently bought the same camera, it was difficult to find the battery, but it's almost ok, the only thing missing is the film, I bought an AGFA VISTA iso100, 12 poses, expired in 2006, I've never photographed with an analogue camera before, my first time, I'm looking forward to it
It’s the main menu button! So this camera has a focus button & then a button that allows you to select through different options on the menu, super convenient!
Wow, really pretty shots without the flash. I thrifted one of these, too, and it came with a whole roll of 24 exposures in it, probably expired. Taking it to Yellowstone to use for the first time. Thanks for this review!
Question I have the same camera if I wanted the same type color you have in your photos would I uses the Kodak film 200? Also the black and white vs color we’re they the same film or diffrent?
Yes I used Kodak 200, the colors might be slightly different because mine was expired, but it would still be similar. The black and white film I used was Kodak 400TX
nice shots! I got mine on ebay andd it does not fire properly, I mean it does not count the pictures I've taken, when I press the shutter release button
Why do you think it fast forwarded? I have the same camera and it’s inconsistent. Get like 19-21 photos each time before but got 6 before it finished the roll last time… trying to troubleshoot this. Thx - cool video
Wow, I'm only just seeing this now... 4 months later lol. I never got it to do anything different. I put a few more rolls through it but it kept shorting me so I decided it wasn't worth using it anymore. A shame, cause I love the pictures I get out of it.
@@INOSHII_ hello! i have a minolta riva zoom 90 ex date and i would like to ask if you've experienced the same thing - the camera has been working well at my end but it suddenly not letting me take pictures? everytime i press the shutter button after 20 shots the led screen turns off and it's not letting me take pictures again 😭 if yes, maybe you know a solution for this since you've stated you've solved urs?
Mia Saenger huh I mean as long as the film advancing it’s probably fine I would say, you could always run a full test roll through before shooting a bunch of rolls on it to make sure it’s actually exposing the film properly

Zoe Zhou the one that’s in it is a Duracell ultra 245 lithium battery.. it was in it when I bought it, so not sure if it’s available online or something
@@zoezhou29 bummer... I've had that happen with other battery powered film cameras... lemme know once you get it working! I'd love to see pics you take with it

It's such a great camera! I wish mine worked properly so bad cause I'd use it literally all the time if I could!

Correct. :)
Just my old camera. It was a great camera back then.
that's a vibe ✌️

I'm getting the exact camera. Would appreciate of you could advice what film works best for indoor photography. ISO ......??
Hey! So it’s set to take 50-200 iso film because it’s automatic, but it does have a built in flash so that can make indoor photography with it easier!
@@KaylaPhaneuf thank you so much for your input. terima kasih from Malaysia :) appreciate if you can be my mentor for future film related questions :)
Balvinder Sidhu yes! Feel free to ask me questions anytime!
What’s your take on the B&G Helioflex 3000T camera?
I was wondering how you managed to do the double exposure? I find it usually hard to do on point and shoots
This camera actually had a specific button to do a double exposure built into the camera.
@@KaylaPhaneuf That's really cool, I'll make sure to try it. Which button would it be ?

I have minolta apex zf900. My mother gave it to me after 2 decades.
Hey can you tell me can we get this camera reels
Did you develop the film yourself?
smh no, I developed at a local camera store that has developing
So it only takes 24 shots?
I can't seem to get mine to take photos, I'm so frustrated
Angry Gacha Clown ugh that’s annoying! Does it run fine but then when you go to take photos it won’t take the actual picture?
@@KaylaPhaneuf I actually got it to work I just had to press a button and it got everything
