I love disposable cameras/film cameras. There’s something different and special about it rather than a digital camera. With film cameras you never know how it will turn out and it’s always different, but with a digital camera you can see exactly how it looks and it almost always looks the same.
Any real disposable shooters KNOW that the little green Fuji hits different, especially with the flash on👌🏾 it’s also funny watching really talent photographers use disposables because it almost feels like a completely different art of capturing the moment... people who’ve never touched a camera in their lives often end up with some of the coolest shots
I believe some photographers really overthink it when it comes to.street photography. Rules for photography and visual art overall should always be kept in mind, but often to best shots are simply capturing what you think looks interesting

The Fuji seemed to capture colors more true to real life albeit with that slight cooler blue tint that comes with any of their film. I'd say Fuji is better for mornings and Kodak is better for evenings lol i agree it had better low light results.
@@murphy1011 it's called a niche. Everyone has a phone, not everyone's phone camera is great. These disposable cameras are cheaper than getting a better phone with a better camera. It's also just more fun to use those. They are wasteful if you buy 10 a week. Few people are going to spend their money on a bunch of disposables when the development fee is 10+ dollars a roll.

my bf and i went to a music festival in chicago last month and we brought disposable cameras with us. definitely made us appreciate the moment and the picture more! and i love the fact that you can’t go back and look at it right away after being so used to taking pics on my phone. we were so excited to get the film developed and looking at them when they were finished was also fun. i didn’t realize how much i miss the early 2000s til after this trip lol
I've thought about taping two disposables together (bottom to bottom), taking a picture, then rotating the whole thing and taking the exact same photo with the second disposable for direct comparisons... but then I remember they're disposable and not hundreds of dollars. When you go to get it developed most places now have the option of giving you your pictures on a cd he probably did that and that’s how he uploaded them ps love your pfp :)

I've got a whole box full of Kodak funsavers. They are easy to take apart and swap films and batteries if you need to. Keep in mind these are usually f/8 lenses (ISO 800).
you can ask the people who develop the film to scan the pictures and transfer them into a USB drive or a CD so you get both a physical and a digital copy of the photographs, most photo shops do it ;)
Mia Cueto when u get them developed u can also get them scanned which means they’ll send it to u digitally so u can post on social media and stuff like that
you can actually go to your “notes” app if you have an Iphone & click the camera button in the corner. Select “scan documents” in this case being the photos, and they will transfer to your camera roll!

I tihnk I like the Kodak a little better. When shooting disposables, you're not really going for sharpness, but the Kodaks seem a little clearer. That and I mostly prefer kodak's warm tones overall.
I've been shooting the Lomography Simple Use for a while now, a reloadable disposable camera, and it's a great one as well. Having a disposable camera for travels and not having to worry about carrying your main big camera is great. Nice video, my dude.
My mom has a Premier brand 35mm disposable camera bought from a gas station about 6 years before I born and she's still using it in vacations, feels like it's more fun to use it than my D850

These are great to keep in your car glove box in the event of an accident. Sometimes your smartphone dies, these don't. And when shooting about, they're a welcome change to the usual obsession over technical perfection that so many fetish about.
Hi! You can take your FIJI disposables to Walmart and they ship them off and I think you get them back in like a week and pay like $10! They also come with CD’s. You can also try your local photography shops.
I work at Walgreens and it's about $10-15 depending on if you used all the pictures (they shouldn't charge you for black/unuseable pictures) and it comes with a free cd as well. Takes a week the longest usually.
personally, i really seem to like the way the Kodak photos turn out. they have a much warmer, almost vintage-like tone to them and i, personally, love that. the Fuji one also takes some pretty nice photos and has a nice tone too, but i just seem to favor the Kodak more than the Fuji, at least in these pics that you took. btw, totally love all the photos in this vid. i loveee chicago and its such a nice city to photograph!
Ive only shot film on fuji disposables and the thing that impresses me is how you dont burn through the whole thing in 15 minutes. Whenever im out with friends I look down at the counter and its at 10 way too soon.

Last time I shot a disposable Fuji camera in 2000 when I didn't bring my SLR at the time. Still have the digitized color photos from this trip - the photos weren't bad just that they were always blurry in the corners (much worse than in the cases you showed here - but again, mine was used 19 years ago!).

People nowadays live in such a hurry they don't even want to wait for the photographer to finish the session or event, they hold mobile phones at all times (in a way) competing with the professional because they need to shoot everything and see it immediately. I find it a lot of fun going out with some BW rolls of film and develop them myself.
Since I really like disposable cameras I can not say which one is better for me, It's like you have to choose which child you love more, which is impossible! :) :)

They are fun. There is always seems to be a little surprise with each roll. I prefer the Kodak funsaver if buying new.

People nowadays live in such a hurry they don't even want to wait for the photographer to finish the session or event, they hold mobile phones at all times (in a way) competing with the professional because they need to shoot everything and see it immediately. I find it a lot of fun going out with some BW rolls of film and develop them myself.
Since I really like disposable cameras I can not say which one is better for me, It's like you have to choose which child you love more, which is impossible! :) :)
