You are a wonderful teacher and your videos have helped with stress and with pain immeasurably. Your video on moods has made a horrible day better, and a good day magical. Love your work, Marissa. I have recommended your videos many times to people suffering from anxiety, pain, and benzo withdrawal, a suffering unimaginable to anyone who hasn't taken those hellishly addictive prescription drugs. With your help, I take no meds for pain or insomnia! Many thanks.
This Qigong practice is everything I need at this time. I have practised other forms of Qigong and I can truly say that this is the one practise that resonates with me totally. Thank you and blessings to you.
I suffer from a recurring upper Tx facet joint pinch, which seems immune to any physical therapy. This swimming dragon technique is the only movement that actually works to help alleviate the discomfort. Thanks so much Marisa.
Thank you so very much for posting this!! I was taught the Swimming Dragon more than 20 years ago during a very difficult time in my life and it was incredibly helpful and strengthening. I could not remember how to do this and your instructions are so clear--now I can do this again!!
wowww; have not seen this exercise performed for sooo long and i never saw it demonstrated so perfectly, with such true groundedness, centredness. Master Yang from Taiwan did a series on this exercise a long time ago which are breathtaking like yours. Am truly stunned to see you teaching this, and with such grace.
I have discovered you recently and I cannot stop doing Qigong with you! I am in awe of everything that you do, you are a beautiful person inside and out, and I love the environment in which you do your exercise routine. I am surprised of how challenging this routine is for me, I have been exercising my entire life but I find Qigong exercises to activate different areas of my body than when I do yoga or pilates. Thank you!
Thank you, Marisa - this was beautiful and your voice is amazing! It’s very relaxing and gentle and it would make a beautiful voice for audio books! ❤️
Wow! I have been doing your you tube classes most days now all this year and some of last. A friend recommended by my mast cell disease. I do think this is certainly helping me a lot. But this is the first time I have tried the Swimming Dragon and I have to say I feel amazing! There is really something special about this one. I feel lighter and less knotted up in my middle ! It is amazing just from one practice. Will definitely be adding this one in and hopefully every day on top of the beginner or other green sessions I am already doing.Thank you such much Marissa you have without exaggeration changed my life. I could not afford acupuncture any more and you have given me the empowerment and confidence and skills to be able to be my own self-healer ! I wish that more people knew about the health benefits of what you are doing. What a gift to the world you provide. A mountain and more of gratitude and thank you so much for generosity and kindness.
Done the swimming Dragon off and on for years with positive effect. Must say your instruction is great. I learn a lot by watching your UTUBE Video. Thank You.
Thank so much for your teachings. I really enjoy your teachings. I've been a stay at home mom and now grandma so never been able to take classes. They are the highlight of my day😊
I'm so glad I came across this channel, I've been following various tutorials on youtube for a while. Even though I'm coming across some exercises that I already knew, I've found the explanation here a lot clearer. And I'm also learning a lot of new things here which really helps a lot. So I want to express my appreciation :D
Hi Marisa - thank you for your lovingly curated videos - you have such a calm soothing voice and your instructions are clear and concise. The music is suitably calming ( do you share music?) and the backdrop is always amazing. This tutorial is a gem - so glad I started learning this precious movement, feel instant chi flowing results!
Thank you for the very clear explanation of how to do the swimming Dragon. I've seen it before and wanted to try it but couldn't figure out how to approach it until this video.
I am sooo happy to have found YOQI and lovely Marisa! My lazy bones are waking up and enjoying the movements very much, that I do it d a i l y ! I'd like to express my gratitude.
I love you my dearest Marissa. You are wonderful lady.VERY, wonderful teacher.. I love your Qigong exercise.especially I have chronic problems of sleeping.. VERYVERY hard to put myself to sleep.. I will be happy if I can get 4hours of sleep. I am not thinking of anything.my eyes not sleepy. You’re brilliant, you explained very precisely, soft and gentle . Thank you for sharing greatly appreciated. XXX lovely
Thank you for your content. The practice of daily Qi Gong is where it's at, and you are one of the best teachers and a most beautiful soul. This practice was one of my batch of first Qi Gong exercises t for me to earn and get into it. Thank you so much. Blessed Be. - 'rascal recommends'
I love this tutorial! I have been practicing since early March (Covid-19 shutdown). I began with a Tai Chi Chu routine I had learned over 20 years ago with Justin Stone, but I saw you tube suggestions for YoQi, and fell in love with your (and Lee Holden's) routines. They have been easy to follow, fun, energizing, and one day I noticed I was getting thinner! An welcome surprise, indeed! I have a question, though about Swimming Dragon. After ignoring it for months, I finally checked it out. I certainly can move along with you, and feel great. However, I have always been left/right challenged. I can be doing a routine circling one way, but when it is time to pause and switch directions, I totally forget which way I was just going! I need a moment to start when told to move to the (right/left). SO, when it comes to flowing left to right while pushing opposite hips and shoulders forward, I can't keep up. The more I focus on getting it right, the more out of sync I become. Will I still be opening the spine if I just do my best without getting it right? Thank you for sharing your practice online.
This is so great for the hips and I can feel the vitality running through me, feeling light in areas that don’t see enough of this Qi, light energy flowing around, I too love your videos, thank you!!
I really enjoyed this video! It actually helped me out a ton! I do believe that putting the website in the description of each post as well as on the about page would bring more traffic to your website though.
Thank you! I'm new to Qigong having been introduced to it during my 200 hr yoga teacher training and felt an immediate connection to it. I will be incorporating many Qigong movements in my classes and am so happy I found your channel. I love Swimming Dragon!
I am so glad I found your channel. I always practice the Lee Holden, Chris Shelton and Mimi Kuo's routines and I wanted to discover new Qi Cong flows, so I am grateful to you for sharing your style. Great work !!
Goodmorning. I did this practice yesterday, and i feel it through all the muscles in my back. Since 10 days i am trying out Qi Gong. Already i feel shift. I'm wondering what effect it will have, if i keep doing it daily. Still learning to appreciate the calm movement. :)
This is great! Right away I received a burst of energy. Thank you so much for sharing this lesson. I'm amazed at the new Qi gong styles that have emerged lately. I have practiced the Eight Pieces of Brocade from Master Yang and I know that these types of routines really help with many health concerns that most of us suffer from. Recently I've discovered Yi Jin Jing another great practice, and I love the variety you can never get bored. Please keep sharing these wonderful videos. God Bless!
good start, doing allright, good basic. well explained. it fits well in my learning process of qi gong healing. it is a very important movement for spine and inner organs thnx
One of my students drew my attention to your swimming dragon. It is great to make this exercise my own with your tutorial and to include it in my Chi Neng Qigong classes. Thanks, love and Haula
What a perfect tutorial. 😊 I did it twice - it was so good and incredibly timing as my meditation this morning was about 2 types of water dragons . Blessings🙏
Amazing! Now as all are created different so that said some have discomfort with wide stance😒 but can still stand wide... Make sense? It's about finding that zone with the flow right.? Are you shifting side and back with hips or directly side? Does bending knees assisting in the flow? Thank you🙏
I am enjoying your videos in the Channel, i hve tried this swimming, it was excellent feelings. One thing i wanted to ask. Whether we should do the exercise with empty stomach.
I love this practice and all of your tutorials Marissa! Is there a longer stretch w/Swimming Dragon in it prominently that is not the 11 min tutorial? I have tried your Daily Routine, the Qigong for Protection, Flow for Brain Optimization, and Purge & Tonify. Usually I do a longer stretch and then finish w/the Dragon. Just wondering if you have a routine that incorporates the Dragon in it? Thank you!
Goood morning Marissa, I love your Dragon. Qigong.thank you for sharing greatly appreciated.you’re lovely lady.Gentle instructor. VERYVERY precisely explained.Brilliant. The swinging of the Dragons is beautiful.XXXLOVELY
Hi, I really enjoyed this practice. I have subscribed to your Website for classes but I haven’t been able find one that includes the swimming dragon in a full class. Could you please let me know which class you perform it in. Thank you🙏😀☯️
i wish this was safe for me to practice with scoliosis...if you ever feel like it, i bet a lot of people could benefit from a qigong practice without twisting and bending the spine like cat cow position. if you have any videos that fit this description please comment a link!
Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, it has helped me tremendously. I’m having problems doing the swimming dragon. Please could you do a tutorial breaking down the swimming dragon from your backside. It’s hard to learn it mirrored. Thank you so much.
Hi Marisa. At 2:30 you describe rotating the opposite hip and shoulder forward. My question is at 7:40 when you begin swimming the dragon and moving the hands along the torso are we still trying to rotate the hip and shoulder forward as they come out to the side? I have just been introduced to Qigong and your videos are erudite and outstanding. Thank you for all you do and keep up the great work! 🙏

@@ethanlee-c3d well it's been a couple years now since you asked the question. Have you figured it out yet? Asking for a friend😉
As a fellow QiGong instructor i just wanted to say you're amazing!
I just can’t get enough of your routines, Marissa. THIS is ANOTHER amazing flow! I feel so open and filled with vitality after. 🙏🏽♥️🙏🏽

Beautiful exercise, thanks!
Just one question: Is this an exercise to awaken the kundalini? If so, perhaps you should let people know before they begin. Nice exercise, though.
i wish this was safe for me to practice with scoliosis...if you ever feel like it, i bet a lot of people could benefit from a qigong practice without twisting and bending the spine like cat cow position. if you have any videos that fit this description please comment a link!
