You are a wonderful teacher and your videos have helped with stress and with pain immeasurably. Your video on moods has made a horrible day better, and a good day magical. Love your work, Marissa. I have recommended your videos many times to people suffering from anxiety, pain, and benzo withdrawal, a suffering unimaginable to anyone who hasn't taken those hellishly addictive prescription drugs. With your help, I take no meds for pain or insomnia! Many thanks.

This Qigong practice is everything I need at this time. I have practised other forms of Qigong and I can truly say that this is the one practise that resonates with me totally. Thank you and blessings to you.

I suffer from a recurring upper Tx facet joint pinch, which seems immune to any physical therapy. This swimming dragon technique is the only movement that actually works to help alleviate the discomfort. Thanks so much Marisa.

Thank you so very much for posting this!! I was taught the Swimming Dragon more than 20 years ago during a very difficult time in my life and it was incredibly helpful and strengthening. I could not remember how to do this and your instructions are so clear--now I can do this again!!

wowww; have not seen this exercise performed for sooo long and i never saw it demonstrated so perfectly, with such true groundedness, centredness. Master Yang from Taiwan did a series on this exercise a long time ago which are breathtaking like yours. Am truly stunned to see you teaching this, and with such grace.

I have discovered you recently and I cannot stop doing Qigong with you! I am in awe of everything that you do, you are a beautiful person inside and out, and I love the environment in which you do your exercise routine. I am surprised of how challenging this routine is for me, I have been exercising my entire life but I find Qigong exercises to activate different areas of my body than when I do yoga or pilates. Thank you!

Wow! I have been doing your you tube classes most days now all this year and some of last. A friend recommended by my mast cell disease. I do think this is certainly helping me a lot. But this is the first time I have tried the Swimming Dragon and I have to say I feel amazing! There is really something special about this one. I feel lighter and less knotted up in my middle ! It is amazing just from one practice. Will definitely be adding this one in and hopefully every day on top of the beginner or other green sessions I am already doing.Thank you such much Marissa you have without exaggeration changed my life. I could not afford acupuncture any more and you have given me the empowerment and confidence and skills to be able to be my own self-healer ! I wish that more people knew about the health benefits of what you are doing. What a gift to the world you provide. A mountain and more of gratitude and thank you so much for generosity and kindness.

I love this tutorial! I have been practicing since early March (Covid-19 shutdown). I began with a Tai Chi Chu routine I had learned over 20 years ago with Justin Stone, but I saw you tube suggestions for YoQi, and fell in love with your (and Lee Holden's) routines. They have been easy to follow, fun, energizing, and one day I noticed I was getting thinner! An welcome surprise, indeed!
I have a question, though about Swimming Dragon. After ignoring it for months, I finally checked it out. I certainly can move along with you, and feel great. However, I have always been left/right challenged. I can be doing a routine circling one way, but when it is time to pause and switch directions, I totally forget which way I was just going! I need a moment to start when told to move to the (right/left). SO, when it comes to flowing left to right while pushing opposite hips and shoulders forward, I can't keep up. The more I focus on getting it right, the more out of sync I become. Will I still be opening the spine if I just do my best without getting it right?
Thank you for sharing your practice online.

I'm amazed at the new Qi gong styles that have emerged lately. I have practiced the Eight Pieces of Brocade from Master Yang and I know that these types of routines really help with many health concerns that most of us suffer from. It's about finding that zone with the flow right.? Are you shifting side and back with hips or directly side? Does bending knees assisting in the flow?

I have tried your Daily Routine, the Qigong for Protection, Flow for Brain Optimization, and Purge & Tonify. Usually I do a longer stretch and then finish w/the Dragon. Just wondering if you have a routine that incorporates the Dragon in it? Thank you!

Hi Marisa. At 2:30 you describe rotating the opposite hip and shoulder forward. My question is at 7:40 when you begin swimming the dragon and moving the hands along the torso are we still trying to rotate the hip and shoulder forward as they come out to the side? I have just been introduced to Qigong and your videos are erudite and outstanding. Thank you for all you do and keep up the great work! 🙏
