As a dane it's nice to see so many appreciate our older music. And it's so fun to read about how you understand the text and what she sings and makes you feel compared to how I feel myself, since I understand the words she sings :) Anyway, good day to you all :)
I agree! The melody is catchy, melodious, and gives me the feeling of driving by the Italian Riviera in 1963. At the same time, something about it feels very, scary and creepy. It kind of also reminds me of Hitchcock’s Psycho. I don’t know; it’s hard to explain, but like you said, it’s catchy and scary at the same time for me.
This was the Eurovision Contest in the new BBC tv centre in London, which had opened in 1960. The BBC moved out and sold Television Centre in 2013 and the refurbished building was re-opened in 2017 offering entertainment and leisure facilities and approximately 1,000 new homes.
It is great to see it colorized, -but why did the audio get worse? It is such a great composition, so sadly I can only recommend to hear it elsewhere on TH-cam
I think they sung it again cos if you look at 0:33 you see she slides her whole hand across her cheek while in the b&w version she only taps her cheek and she sings a little differently that she did in the b&w version. Just what i think happened though.
Nah this contest was the only time they used a technique where they hold the mics just out of view, so shes still singing into a microphone but they hold just out of the way of the camera

She’s my fav from 60s
For some reason this song is creepy, scary, catchy, and great at the same time!

@@intreoo I feel as if it's one of those songs that would be played in a post-apocalyptic world. The spiral effect during the chorus definitely helps.
@@Israelballsuspended notes in the post chorus… I would not say it’s creepy, but it definitely gives a mysterious feeling
It’s scary, sad, happy and catchy

I was always wondering the color of her outfit :D
Grethe Ingmann 1938-1990.
Jørgen Ingmann 1925-2015.
Phenomenal!
Did you colourise this? Well done if you did. Someone has stolen this and uploaded it as his own.
The other one copied. Look the dates
That reminds me of the song " my favourite things " from "The sound of music " .
That said, that's a good thing they won the contest back then .
She looks so pretty!
And her husband was handsome too.
Nice Video. Never ever heard of them before this.

@@aviation7573it is winner's perfomance, so that's why there are some differences
I think they meant the colour @@aviation7573
The woman at the beginning also said they already won eurovision
Please, give it color to Eurovision 1966.
I thought EuroVision was only in colour in 1968?? 😍😍
This is colorized by Papao. The contest was broadcast in grayscale
@@nolansSky Thank you :)

he killed on his version of Apache .!!! .... could have used a little more guitar solo in this, but it is really her showcase
it makes me sad that they divorced((
Even worse, they are dead.
@Isabelle Gall_NA i have no idea but if wikipedia says it, then it is true
@@helltotheno. haha that’s funny
It's so sad to think that she only lived 27 more years after winning the ESC. Amazing song and amazing performance...
@Isabelle Gall_NA I'm pretty sure they didn't.
Someone stole your video
