Many thanks for putting this on youtube.This was a very influential LP for me as a teenager and I still love it.Unfortunately this recording is rather distorted or over recorded.If anyone can get an original metronome 10 inch version ,or UK version in great condition.you will be richly rewarded.There is also a US release of it on 12 inch with same tracks.His tone on the disc is exceptional and his touch and arrangements were great.I think they were all done on Tandberg tape deck at home.There is a biography pf Jorgen and wife Greta but it is in danish.So I cannotead it..I wish I had been able to meet him to tell him how he influenced several guys including myself in West Yorkshire England.
Hi Geoff thanks for liking the album. I'm sorry the quality is not amazing but this is a very old album and it was played by my brother and myself a lot... I looked everywhere for this album to see if I can get a better quality on TH-cam or anywhere else but it seems not to have been uploaded so that is why I made this copy from the old 10 inch album. His Music needs to be enjoyed and the more people that hear The quality of his playing the more they will learn from his style.....Best regards Mike.
I just discovered - via a podcast interview with Greg Koch - a brilliant Chicago-based guitarist called Joel Patterson, and he was raving about Jorgen; he thinks he surpasses Les Paul with his overdubbed arrangements. Nice to stumble across two great guitarists in a couple of days, especially when you're in your 60s. Thanks, Mike, for filling in some blanks for me.
Hi there. It’s my pleasure. This 10 inch was played so much in our home as a kid. The sound, the feel and technique are unmatched for me. It is nice to know he’s not forgotten.
