Hi Mark, many thanks for all these videos, just bought my 16 year old son his 1st bike speed fight 2, I had no clue how these bikes worked, I had bigger bikes , but started on ap50, but never a ped, I have watched nearly all the speed fight videos, and today sorted his bike right out, rollers , new auto choke, ( was not starting on cold mornings)carb clean and rebuild , fuel filter, my next thing is he complaining of really dim headlights, got front end apart and looking at bulbs. Oh and breaks and prob loads of other stuff, but think now I can tackle most jobs, Thanks to you . Cheers bud .
there are over 120 speedfight videos so they all will help bulbs should be 35w not 55/60 stator coil or power regulator videos on them brakes yes loads of videos to help just type in problem and mark savage lol
@@marksavage hi Mark thanks again. I have spent another day playing with bike as after putting on a new auto choke and carb clean /jets air box etc, the dam bike was hard to start. It started on the button but would not run till warmed up, just kept bogging as soon as tryed to rev it, it runs great wen warm been bomming about all day on it after I put a volt meter on the connection to auto choke and there don't seam to be any power going to it wen ignition is turned on. Hello mate, having trouble with my electric start, every time i use it the teeth wont connect and therefore wont spin over n just makes a hairdryer noise lol so took off the casing n cant see anything wrong but im no mechanic lol, ive tried so many times with the kick start i give up it lol but if you could please give me some advice why the cogs are not meeting when i press the auto start would be appreciated mate or even a video you have on here, cheers
hi bud ok there are two Bendix's so you may have the wrong one on there !!. the starter is ok and on the main part on the Bendix? so when you turn it over the Bendix spin out and connects to the outer part of the variator?? I have a videos on how it work so give that a view bud as that should help also on the kick start and how to replace it and what goes wrong with it it sounds like yours is spinning but not coming out or not connecting to the variator, take off the cover put your foot against the Bendix to stop it flying out ( don't worry it wont hurt you lol ) and turn it over you may see what's going on like in my other videos hope that helps take a look as my other videos on the speed fight and aeorx's, and please like share and subscribe . mark
mark savage thank you for the reply mate, it all started when i changed rollers over was working fine before never had a problem with it then when i went to put it back together the electric start bendix just wouldnt connect, i was over at the garage last night, i took of the casing and held the bendix in place, pressed the auto start and the bendix came out but didnt lock on to the flywheel cog so i took the flywheel off put it back on made sure all was good with the belt etc and it still comes out but wont connect to the flywheel still, its got a new battery, new flywheel, new rollers, i looked through your videos and it dont seem like im missing anything or doing anything wrong lol il have another go at it tonight if not il just throw it the garage lol cheers mate
hi bud yes this has happened to me before, are you 100% you put the variator back the same way? but you say it kicks over fine so it must be . you didn't oil the Bendix and it fits in as it should? odd?? did your variator have the cage on the back of it and was the washer on? just sounds like it's out too far but the Bendix do have a lot to answer too and there go wrong a lot lol, hope you get it sorted soon bud . mark
Hi Mark, one question about variator spring. I bought malossi variator for my speedfight 2 and in the original package have 8.5g.roles and the white spring, whether i have to change my original spring and put the white one or i can drive whit original or something different spring: yellow,red,black,... Your opinion for this please, bicouse i have stage6 clutch sport pro and wing cooler stage6 but they are not even unpacked. Please your opinion for this. Best regards and i wish you happy New Year
Vlado Stankovic hi bud yes they come with a spring but if your clutch it good and running fine I'd just keep it in the box , rollers there a bit heavy but should give you good top end but you may find pull away a bit slow as in my videos I Combi them but put them in and give them a go it may all work fine bud , hope that helps and it's only a few mins to change them to get the best out of your ped , thanks for watching my videos , have a great 2017 , mark
hi I have a another newer video on the variator but normal there is only one on the outer side this, this can be taken out as it only slows down the bike , thanks for watching and please like and subscribe , mark
Hi mark I just bought a peugeot trekker 100cc - 2 stroke 98 - 18k on clock - so pretty old , but it's running pretty well at the mo I'm really enjoying the 2 stroke feel over the 4 strokes I had before infact it's flying at the mo ,top speed is only 55 but thats fine for me , it gets there really fast , anyway , I like tinkering lol and know will prob need tools in future so have ordered a cheap impact driver , £20 woop woop lol , I hope it works for the variator ect , I'm gonna have a go at changing the rollers and will put a new belt on , could you advice on best weight rollers, for a quick pull away and not loose 2 much top speed ? I'm about 11-12 stone dunno if that helps ? I have ordered 11.5 but I have messaged them to also advice on maybe sending lighter ones ? Also the only issue I have with it apart from the very slight slow pull away , is there is a noise almost like a horn sound when I do pull away , I thought someone was beeping at me at first lol it's pretty faint ,but is def there and a bit annoying now ,it's like a rubbing wurring sound ,that sounds a bit like a horn then it goes away , I think it could be the clutch ? apart from that is running great and hopefully will be even better when I change the belt and rollers , anyway any info would be greatly appreciated
I may have gone for 10g to 10.5g as they will give you better pull away, yes a new belt will help to, when you have it all off like in my videos give the clutch a test to see how strong it is, clean it all up with a clean cotton rag sure that will help hope that helps bud please like share and sub mark
Thanks Mark , I will like and sub now , The 11.5 have been posted this morning even though I asked to change , must be diff department ,I will check the rollers I have in the bike and if not to bad will send back the 11.5 for lighter ones and just fit new belt for now , thanks again
Hi again Mark, hope all are well. I finally got the chance to start working on my bike now, and got to the variator. filthy as h*ll it was, and the rollers are totally worn out, so they will be replaced. But inside the variator, the edges of the lid have left some dents in the roller tracks. Is it something to worry about, or shall i just put new rollers in, or do i need the get a whole new variator? Thanks.
Kjell Ringström it sounds like the rollers have damaged the variator, if the rollers roll ok then it might be ok. But I'd change it if you were me bud , mark
