Hello Mark, it's been a long time since you posted this video but maybe you'll remember where to put the cog spring, I mean in which crater let's call it that, the end of the spring should be. how should the cog with the spring be arranged when we put it all back together so that the spring will not get damaged? my kickstarer doesn't kick back suddenly something jumped inside and I want to make sure that the cog with the spring didn't jump between the craters. this cog for me floats up and I have to manually pull back the kickstarter so that the cog starts to move back and kickstarter work again and so on and on and on sometimes it kicks back on its own, sometimes I have to correct it manually, a dozen or so minutes ago everything worked as it should
oh bud i feel your pain and these are hard once they start to ware then then will keep slipping out and messing around . i've in the past changed the cover with a working one , if the electric start works just use that if not its easier to get it as in my videos . otherwise start over with a new kit
hi mate, my kickstart was feeling slack when brought it, took the casing off to have a look and the half moon thing was broken, i have replaced it and replaced the pinion as well as the spring the lot but it’s still slack when kicking down and it doesn’t seem to grip onto anything tia
that circlip seems like nothing but it really plays a very important role for kick-start mechanism as it is shown the video, thanks for this very helpful video
Hey Mark I changed my kickstarter 3 times but it is still chippin... seems like the the little wheel gets in contact with the theeth on the crank and so the theeth start to break off. I'm desperate tried all variants (12,5mm/13mm/15mm) nothing helped
mustermann008 that’s not good bud and sometimes it’s easier just to buy the whole part 2nd hand working with the cover ! It’s just that the old cover wears and then not fit , there is a clip on the outer part and a washer on the dog cog that should be on there but once it start to grind the teeth they are no good Mark
Hi, mark do you know the kickstart washer that goes onto the variator can it be replaced and if so how? Because i have a working kickstart but where it connects to spin is just sheered.
Take it off and check it all works ok They really can be funny buggers to sort I'm doing one this weekend so will show you in more detail with my new video if it helps If yours works ok off then yes it can be the washer
Hi Mark, Just want to ask whats the difference between 100cc and 50cc bendix ? Ive got 100cc speedfight with 50cc bendix in and it wont work. Bendix itself will go in but when I put cover back on and try to start it there is is no answer from starter motor as there is something on its way. Thanks Mark
eNeRGetyk Power hi bud well they are different bud The 100cc has more teeth and a bloody hard to get hold of 50cc and every where and easy to get new and 2nd but 100cc parts are more difficult like the 100 cc bendix They are also a little bigger Maybe look on eBay for a seller breaking one rather than just the bendix and and don’t be fooled by sellers saying it will fit both as the dont Please like share and sub I do have a few videos on 100cc but not many Mark
Hi Mark, I bought a speedfight 2 100cc but the kick start mechanism was missing. I bought a kit on ebay which says it’s for the 100cc model and has all the parts listed in your video, but I think im missing some extra parts, i.e the shaft bushing, the shaft washer that goes on before the surclip and the shim washer that goes on the push out gear. Do you know what the dimensions of the two washers should be, Thanks
100cc parts are very hard to get hold of and e bay sellers say fits both but as you now know they do not , best try on e bay for breakers or people selling parts , this is how i started pmsl ended up with 10 speedfights just for part and kept buying . 500 speedfight later lol , its easier to get a 100cc electric starter

Most parts are from the same place Stay away from the pistons with Chinese writing on them But a lot of parts are good it just comes down to your budget and I’ve used both and they both work
that's the hard part lol, on my video watch where it should be line it up and put on the crank, use a small bit of wood ( coke can, any thing like that)and put it on it then flip it over so the wood holds it in place on the ground then slip on the clip and kick start . hope that help, please check out my other videos as thy may help and like and subscribe , mark
They did two types for the 50cc and another for the 100cc The bendix has to match the starter teeth As for the kick that has to match the pinion But the both have to match elec and kick
Yea they do 2 types of dendix They connect to the start cog so try and see the size of your start but 12.5 is normal on sp1 50cc But can't 100% say yours is bud Sorry to say Maybe have a double check on your start and try and see if its smaller or matches the dendix on the picture
@@marksavage okay Mark im gonna check again for that btw i wanted to ask u if my piston is ready for changing when i ride the bike the temp goes up really fast even tho the water pump is working well
If you have check the water and changed it with anti freeze when servicing it should be OK Temp going up is ok in hot weather , it bad if it over heats !! Then yes it would be a good idea to change the piston and gasket set

Don't !! I've done a few videos about that , please do. It do it , it was only for 4t Chinese mopeds and it didn't really work or maybe 4 mph extra , if your do it on your bike it will blow your Cdi and stop the oil pump and go wrong , hope that helps bud thanks for watching please like my videos , mark

@@marksavage cheers mate I knew about the clip because of your video but for some reason I thought I had to disconnect the spring first I've done it now all sorted and back on correctly I do have a question though..the small cog that comes out to meet the variator has a clip around and on that clip there is a U shaped bit that comes down into casing the one they sent seems at lease 1cm shorter than the one that came off (old one severely bent so can't re use) will this still function the same ?

Be a good plan to clean up the inside of the Casing and use some grease on the mechanism

Ive got 100cc speedfight with 50cc bendix in and it wont work. Bendix itself will go in but when I put cover back on and try to start it there is is no answer from starter motor as there is something on its way.

it sounds like th espring as gone so best take it off and either repair replace of take it off if it works fine on electric start

replaced the whole kick start mechanism very easy
I just replaced mine, as the kick start was jamming (not constantly kicking down) However its still jammed, any idea what might be causing it?

There’s a tool you can buy other wise it’s a bit of a game but it will come off or ping off lol so be ready for it bud
