Best sequel for me. I started Horrors younger than I should have but I was a massive Halloween fan and my Aunt got me a VHS of Halloween 4. I had seen the original, 2 and 3. After realising Michael wasn't in 3 I was so excited to read "Return of Michael Myers" Loomis was alive praise be! And Danielle was such an extraordinary replacement For Jamie Lee. I love it

Halloween III: Season of the Witch deserves some recognition, it’s completely underrated. Halloween 4 is one of my favorites and this movie along with H6 has the best fall atmosphere in the series. Love Danielle Harris and she was truly one of the best child actress for her time

Danielle Harris’ acting in Halloween 4 was phenomenal. That’s what makes me enjoy re-watching this movie, her acting skills.
Agreed, she was great in this movie
She's about the only reason 5 is watchable. You're rooting on her to survive.
I must add, Loomis is always awesome too.
Just thinking about the final scene of the movie, the very last image, combined with Loomis' reaction always gives me chills. I love this movie. Best of the sequels in my opinion.

Honestly just prefer to think of that as the end of Jamie and Loomis’ stories; Jamie turned pure evil and Loomis finally cracked realizing the evil would always live on. Definitely better then what happens to them in H6.

The h20 gas station scene where chris says Michael chooses who's worth putting effort into killing or leaving alive
Of course he 'really' tried to kill him. Ever see a James Bond movie? Or Rambo? They generally don't die either, because they're the central figure...their name is above the title...Loomis was the same thing in the Halloween franchise.

I wish 2018 Halloween would have picked up where part 4 left off because it was a good place it made sense and it left room for the story to grow

I really hate that they keep on ignoring the sequels, as a lot of people said here, their favorite movie or favorite Halloween sequel was part 4, also a lot of people love part 6 and H20 as well. I would have loved H20 connected the Jamie/ Laurie relationship. The 2018 one should have fixed that problem and continued from part 6.

Halloween 4 is my go to Halloween movie and was my favorite growing up. It scared me more then the others and it captures the feel of the Halloween season perfectly.

When I was little on Halloween night my parents needed to buy some water, so we went out at night on and I freaked out when I saw Michael Myers staring at me outside of a McDonald's😂 he was just staring at the cars go by, all he did was wave his hand up and I hid myself. The poor guy was probably just hungry.

First, the opening credits to Halloween 4 are creepy and give you that fall feeling. I love how they bring back Loomis, his constant need to catch Myers and Danielle Harris nails it as Jamie. The end is also super memorable. Halloween 4 is a top sequel.

Omfg Chris playing Michael here has me dead😂 this movie has some unexplainable scenes but it's my second favorite of the Halloween movies. I grew up watching that one a lot.

You can skip the RZ remakes too lbs. This is one of the Halloween movies that I rewatch the most & I think it’s because it felt fresh in a way and Danielle Harris is awesome as Jamie!

H4 is my favorite sequel still to this day. Watched the original Halloween when I was 4 and have been in love with the H1-H6 storyline ever since and was only alive when H6 came out. I love Rachel and I love Jamie as well. Both great final girls you want to route for. I like Loomis' turn to a more wacky side. The simple but effective special effects are cool with Michael pushing his finger in people's faces. The fact he is going after a kid makes it feel really dire. The film feels fun overall like hanging with friends and going trick or treating until things get really bad. I absolutely love the ending. This film was so much better than it needed to be as a 4th installment.

I love how the opening fells very fall-like and I do feel it’s one of the best in the series. I’ve watched this more often than any of the others. Can’t explain it, that’s just how it is.
First off, Chris thank you for watching all the Halloween Movies. But I'll tell you I love me some Michael Myers but...Damn! Some of them are just...Time Swiping. I couldn't commit at one point anymore. And your cutaways are hilarious! Please keep those up. The road runner bit and the Jason and Michael in the office bit were priceless! And the mommy read me a bedtime story was great! Im watching all these reviews. Peace.

This series is awesome! This has gotten me intrigued in the Halloween franchise, and usually the only horror movies I watch are the Scream movies. Speaking of which, could you do this same review thing for the scream movies to hype up scream 5?

You liked 5 and Resurrection too eh? Too each their own. I especially hate 5 with a passion, ugh. (I try to just forget that the Zombie ones exist these days, but I even prefer both of his over H5 personally).
It's not very unpopular to like 3 these days though. People didn't like it back in the day for the lack of Myers, and let's just be honest...people have bad takes and taste in horror no matter what decade it is. :)
@@mattmccomas1 yeah I like resurrection and 5 ik they are far from flawless but like I jus love em all and the rob zombie 2007 one was the first Halloween movie I had ever seen bc I was 7 when it came out so that one and the sequel was the 1st ones seen and then as i grew up I saw the whole franchise and I loved it it’s my fav horror franchise next to Friday the 13th but ik I’m the only one who loves them all lol

This was the only one we owned for years growing up so it’ll always be special for that. Not as big a fan of it anymore but it’s still a better late 80s slasher than most!

My favorite Halloween sequel! Even the Data mask grew on me over the years. Literally the definition of expressionless. The shoulder pads were unfortunate though.. Shame parts 5&6 went in the direction they did. So much missed potential

I could never explain why I liked this movie so much (as a teen I’d even say it was my favorite) but the points you made against the movie are so true. I can’t wait to watch it again this year, but it definitely dropped to my 4th favorite Halloween movie behind 1, 2 and the 2018. Love the reviews and maybe do a Halloween 3 review later in October?
I believe the final scene is one of the best parts of H4. Personal I think it acts as a metaphor to say that anyone can turn out to be a killer, even those you might least suspect.

Halloween 4 is my 2nd favorite in the series because It’s the first one I saw, Danielle Harris and Donald pleasence are great in this movie, Michael is more calculated with his attack and the ending is one of the best endings ever

Actually the Reverend who picks up Dr. Loomis was Reverend JACKSON P. SAYER, not Sawyer,, played by late character actor CARMEN FILIPI, who passed away in 2003.
They had the mask still cast from Shatners face. When they received them on set they were all pink with blond hair. They put to much white paint on but had to start shooting. The pink mask in the school was because someone grabbed a non painted one and they shot the scene late at night and no one noticed.
Decided to skipped 3. Not a bad movie. Just shouldn’t have the 3 after Halloween in the title. 😂😂😂

How the heck does Michael get around so quick in this movie for a guy who moves like a snail? One minute he's at the Sheriff's house killing the daughter and Brady, then seconds later he shows up at Jamie's school in a Ben Tramer mask and tosses Dr. Loomis through a classroom door? How did Michael know they all would be there?

There's a special place in my heart for 4 & 5 .....I think because it takes me back to childhood and the start of my love for horror movies...and because of Danielle Harris. She blew me away being so young and so talented, for me she made it believable and I loved watching her in these.

There was a deleted scene they shot where Michael stabs the mechanic in the mouth. It’s a quick shot where as soon as it enters his mouth it cuts away, but that’s where he stabbed him, not the body. If you listen closely, they still kept the sound effect in where it enters his mouth

Halloween 4 has always been one of my top 3. I have to say I didn't really like that thorn approach they were going with but I always loved the atmosphere of this one. You have this little girl trying to avoid Michael in this ghost town like atmosphere. It felt like Michael had already killed the entire neighborhood and the ending has always gave me chills.
Bruh Cris will not let that Ben Tramer kill go lmao such a hilarious running gag in this vid i hope it becomes a running gag throughout this review series😂

The H4 mask was actually a kirk mask like the original. But they didn't focus on the mask til last minute, so they smothered white paint on it. Therefore taking away all the possible likeness to the previous movies.

Halloween 4 is my second favorite of the franchise after the original of course, the whole atmosphere of the film was so fitting for a Halloween movie. Great new characters that you actually care for like Jamie and Rachel. Even the mask was creepy as hell, that scene when Michael gets up from the side of the bed and lightning hits his face, great stuff!

I wasnt alive when halloween 4 came out. My mama was only 9 the year it came out so obviously i didn't see it when it came out. But when i was like 5 or 6 this was one of the first horror movie experiences i had. For that reason it has a special place in my heart even if its not my favorite anymore.
