Love to see more videos with him and her probably making ceviche or other Ecuadorian food. Or Perhaps going down memory lane when she used to go to Ecuador for vacation when she was younger. Maybe a video with Claudette also and her dad talking about their Ecuadorian side. 💛💙♥️

True Puerto Rican Style normally don't use eggs some may add anise & cloves in the cinnamon boil like tea then mix but my Grandma used Coconut Rum & a bit of Bourbon. Love you Adrienne & the family.

I recently learned how to make coquito and is definitely one of my new favorite drink. I have been introducing it to family and friends that they have never had it before. Next time I will modify current recipe by boiling the water with cinnamon and use your mom’s recipe. Thank your mom for sharing her coquito recipe. 😀

PLEASE MAKE THE TRADITIONAL VERSION with the grated coconuts and the Puerto Rican Rum 😋 That’s the way my Abuelita used to make it, so light and delicious. My sister Arlene & I were only 14 years old and would sneak into the kitchen around 2:00 in the morning and steal a couple of drinks. Until one night unbeknownst to us, our DAD was spying on us and thought it would be funny to take his belt off and strike it on the kitchen floor. We jumped 2 feet in the air and spilled our “ COQUITO all over us 😩. I don’t think I ever saw that man laugh so hard in his life. Good Memories 😂😂😂

Jay z being from Brooklyn and growing up with a bunch of Puerto Ricans I'm surprising never try some or he had tried some before and he haven't had it in a long time so he remembers it and wanted some more 🇵🇷

So lucky..we hit a brick wall when we try to research my mother's background. literally, there isnt any record of my late grandmother's birth. Which I have heard is common in black families. You are So blessed you have that info Mrs. A!

I understand what you mean. I've done a small search nothing drastic but I too hit a brick wall. I believe (like my grandpa) alot of us back in a certain era, didn't have a birth certificate which is unfortunate💜

Aww thank you so much for this! I miss my mom so much every day, but especially during the holidays. When we were younger people would call my mom to see if she was making pasteles and they would place orders of at least a hundred per person and we would help her grate everything by hand. I miss that so much. I was wondering if you had the recipe for the coquito with the egg included also? Thank you again!
