- Today, we are showing you the unknown Kerala. I've always heard that Kerala is the most beautiful state in India. I think they are correct.
We got to visit our friends @SAVAARIbyShinothMathew - Shinoth, Sheena, and their family. We all were visiting Kerala at the same time. We went to Sheena's family home and got to explore their property which is so beautiful and peaceful. They have a rubber tree farm and we got to see the process of getting the milk from the tree to the end process of making the rubber sheets.
Shinoth has a youtube channel #savaari and currently lives in New York as well. Here's a link to his channel. He posts all Malayalam content

This is the real beauty of Kerala, but with modernization everything is being spoiled. Overcrowding is the biggest problem.

The smell "ottupaalu" is unBEARAble though at times, so glad my dad opted for banana and coconut cultivation, though Rubber really has helped a lot of people get out of poverty. The downside of rubber they say is, the moment those leaves from the rubber tree falls, it kills the other trees and plants, don't know if it's true, but Rubber is not native to Kerala, it was brought over from South America from my understanding, so I consider it an invasive species, but like I said, it's really helped a lot of farmers, and a whole culture has developed around rubber trees for several decades in Kerala, it has become a part of our culture, especially Syrian Christians, so asking people to give this cash crop up to plant more native crops would definitely be a hard sell!!! Sorry for the run on sentence, but nobody has ever corrected me, and I got an A in writing at an American university even when those who were born in America got B's and C's. So nobody has ever corrected me on this, but I'm definitely taking classes on improving my sentence structure.
