I would definitely add more ways to make saprolings or the deck will be dead in the water if it gets removed even once. But! This deck tech gave me a lot of great ideas. I wanted to build Ziatora like this and realised halfway in that it was too many hoops to jump through. I can literally just put Slimefoot and squee at the helm and do something similar while having the reanimate engine in the command zone. Also gonna put in Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Lord of Extinction. 👌
That’s something I regrettably realized after I finished the deck. I’m glad I was able to give you some solid ideas!!! Lord of extinction and jarad are going to be monsters in the deck!
I would take out the Signets for things like Nature's Lore and Three Visits. The Signets are good, but any mass artifact removal is gonna set us back a ton. Unless I'm playing an artifact centric deck or any color that's not green, then running the Signets is risky
That’s a good point they are more solid color fixing as well
I’m going to set one up tomorrow I told people I would make one when I hit 10k. It’s definitely going to be new to me I’d appreciate it if you’d like to help me build it into something proper.
dont forget that he has bane of progress in the list so it would blow up his own stuff
Not trynna be a hater and this deck definitely looks fun but it also looks just like your ziatora deck tech. Sacrificing and reanimating and power matters in jund you even kept the dragon subtheme. I was kind of hoping to see some more goofy fungus and saproling synergies. I honestly feel like I could swap ziatora into the command zone and be just fine with this list. Also I think this list doesn't have enough saproling creation in general. I could definitely see a situation where your commander gets stranded in your graveyard because someone killed your only saproling that you were going to use to bring your commander back. Not having additional saproling creation also makes you waaayyy weaker to board wipes. I feel like a big strength of this commander is that you want him in the graveyard and his ability then lets you kind of "cheat" on the command tax but that's only true if you have saprolings. With this list if someone board wipes you you'll probably have to put them back in the command zone instead of the yard because you won't be able to consistently get it back out. This can be mitigated by some of the other recursion you have in the deck but I still feel like Nemata is not sufficient additional saproling generation.
That’s a fair critique. It’s just kinda what my gut feeling told me was a fun powerful route to take. The last thing you wanna hear from the community is your decks are looking similar so I’ll definitely try to keep that in mind for the future. I appreciate and value your feedback 😁
@decktechsfordecks8928 I definitely think you succeeded with the fun and powerful aspect. Really enjoy your deck techs keep it up.
Thank you I really appreciate that 😁
love the idea of the deck, jund is my favourite colour combination and i can't seem to find a commander that really fits the way i like to play, this might be it (can you shere the deck list tho? XD )
Added it to the description:)
i've built this as a saproling tribal and combo deck with one 9/7 creature as an optional finisher. primal vigor and concordant crossroads are definitely good staples for this deck regardless of the direction you take it.
do you ha ve a list?
Definitely timy but I think the deck lacks good multiple removal and haste anabler plus I don't see why you don't put more ways to create saporlings. It's always good to have a backup like fungal plot. I think pulling back a little on the big cards and adding redundancy is probably good.
That’s a good call out I do feel like a missed the mark a little as far as consistency goes with this one the gold fish is amazing but you don’t have a player trying to kill that saproling while gold fishing
All I can do now is give it a better go in the future 😁
@@decktechsfordecks it's a great bass line though! You gave me great ideas for my own deck. Plus I opened up the new etali and I think he definitely has a place in this deck.
Etali is definitely going to smash in that deck!!! I’m glad I could help! 😁
Night soil and necrogenesis are both great options that give you some grave hate of your own
Im big overthinker, but how exactly do you achieve the saprolings going? You would need ton of them in order to reanimate more creatures. Seems slow to me. What have I overlooked? Thanks
Slimefoot and Squee makes a Saproling etb, so if you get it back from graveyard you can sac it again when Slimefoot and Squee is back in the GY
I pulled this card at prerelease and built it that weekend I’ve played it a few times already and I can say with experience that he needs more token generators. People will kill your tokens and your token makers you can’t just rely on Slimefoot and Squee for your gas.
You need more ways than your commander to make Saproling tokens I suggest cards like verdant force and tendershoot dryad to make one on each upkeep so if they kill your commander it’s more of benefit than a downfall
Dope deck tech, think I'm gonna modify it a bit, and build it
Thank you I’m glad you enjoyed!
Razeketh is amazing in here too. Pay 2 life and sac the commander to both set up for your next reanimate effect as well as tutor any card. Seems good.
You accidentally have 2 old stick fingers in the decklist on moxfield. Just wanted to let you know!
Thank you I appreciate that!
@@decktechsfordecks you’re welcome! Awesome deck by the way. Been looking for a reanimator deck and this one seems perfect.
Thank you I was honestly super excited when they got spoiled Jund is by far my favorite color combination!
Insane build. But 2 huge problems: no saproling generator or ways to protect our graveyard. One rest in peace and this deck is completely shut off...
Ooo niceee, gonna brew this but focus on dragonssss
I went the way of graveyard tutors like Gravebreaker Lamia
wow really nice perky bazoingas
I feel like you need a bit more artifact and enchantment removal. This deck is extremely vulnerable to graveyard hate like Grafdiggers Cage and Rest in Peace they pretty much shut you down hard
We have 5 different forms of artifact and enchantment removal in the deck I don’t know if I’d wanna add much more.
Do you have the card list for this deck
Added it to the description 😁
@@decktechsfordecks thx
No problem!
Revenant or similar creatures would be great in this deck with the cards that cares about power!
Making this big creature so underplays the deck. This commander goes infinite with like 20 different cards
