How terrible to put your dog through all that, it is not wrong to spare your dog unnecessary pain and anxiety by putting them to sleep.... it's called mercy, love and compassion.
Because people are so caught up in selfish grief that they want whatever time they can squeeze out, not realizing that the quality of that time left is so poor that it makes the eventual death even more heartbreaking and painful to the animal.
