I'm so happy to FINALLY understand why my isomalt molds always have tiny bubbles. Thanks so much and also, thanks for pointing me toward Simi...she's right here in town...don't be jealous. LOL
Omg so happy with this! Went onto website to see ridiculous price thinking there's no way I'd buy that stuff. SO CHEAP! Going to buy a couple transfer sheets and both molds so happy! Yay
This was a great tutorial! I am planning to make a dragon head cake and needed help with the eyes. I originally planned to do a gelatin eyeball but using isomalt is a way better idea. Thank you!
your show piece from san diego is in my local cake store standlees and OMG its AMAZINGGGGGGGGGG!!!!! online they look so awesome but in person wowwwww its crazy how it looks sooo real!
I cannot wait until these are available in the UK! I need to do eyes and I have no idea what to do instead as I think I'm going to have to paint them instead. Which is a shame as I was quite excited to use these for a more realistic looking girl. (I'm making a foot tall pageant girl for charity/a beauty pageant.)
The prices are great until shipping is added. Are products sold on Amazon? Using my Prime free shipping would be awesome! I've gotten spoiled with free shipping!
I am making Isomalt 3d suckers with printed wafer paper. they have a unpleasant gritty mouthfeel... is there anyway to get rid of that without using sugar?
I don't sell the large size mold because it doesn't fit the skull. You can find the large size and transfer sheets on www.simicakes.com in the shop section
Thanks for replying! I do not speak English and that's why I did not understand everything talked in the video. Now I understand the answer. Thanks a lot!
you should make Halloween versions on these eyes so I can add them to skull molds or monster cakes. I saw lizard ones one your site but I would love to monster eyes.
nerea rodriguez I emailed them a couple of weeks ago, they're going to be available in the uk soon but not yet. Just Postage was $12, so add in the price, tax and customs and it's really expensive! I can't wait until we can get these!
Is there a brown eye? I'm not sure if what I'm seeing on the video is brown or a grey? Also would you use the large size for a life size small breed dog? It would be a pug and they have big eyes. Lol

Could you put your mould in the microwave to heat it up before pouring the isomalt?
This is so clever! Amazing tips - thanks for sharing 😄
Thanks so much!
Can these eyes be inserted into a cake and then the cake be refrigerated? I've heard Isomalt isn't very fridge friendly.
as long as they are sealed they should be ok but to be safe, apply right before delivery instead of putting it in the fridge

I know this is an old video but even after using the blowtorch and glaze, i still end up getting cloudy eyes. Help please?

Dear, please, you think that it may be working with titanium dioxid?
Could I make these and give them out as candies?

mammaRURDUD i she talks about it at some point but it sounds like you didn't seal them properly with the clear glaze
Thanks for replying! I do not speak English and that's why I did not understand everything talked in the video. Now I understand the answer. Thanks a lot!
mammaRURDUD i no problem friend, I'm happy to help. Good luck!
Maybe warm the eyeball mould in the microwave for a bit, to reduce the temperature difference between the isomalt.
