I love Tacon/Lc Racing. I don't think I can race any other brand. Their durability is amazing and driving experience great. Hopefully this one carries on their great reputation!
Thanks for the video, love your channel, it has really helped me learn a lot about the hobby. Just picked up an LC12B1 myself, it is a really well made buggy. My other two rcs are a 144001 and Arrma Talion. Cant wait to get the LC out to my local track
I like mine very much. I had some setup issues on my gravel track. Then i switched to bigger 1:10 tires and it changed the whole behaviour of the car. It's much faster, more pedictable and got more grip.
This video convinced me, i ordered two of them for me and my son. After comparing many cars i've got to say that this seems to have the best quality and performance in this price range. If it shares some parts with wltoys, the availability will be safe for the next years.
LC Racing is quite popular and growing brand here in Poland, we even have a racing class for it during the winter carpet season and it's one of the more attended one. Nice video as always!
I've had one of these for a while. Awesome quality and super fast with great handling. I've set it up with hobbywing esc and leopard motor on 3s. You can bash it. It's tough as nails.
Thank you Greg (and Dean!) for reviewing these great little cars and giving them the attention they are so deserving of! I've had my LC12B1 since January and absolutely love it. I think mine was 8 or 9 here in the US and my second LCR. These are super fun and extremely durable little cars, that can certainly take some abuse. Even for bashers, I wouldn't shy way from this car. Take a look around and you'll see the other LC models being quite capable on that front. The only difference here being the mid motor design and open gear box. The open gear box of the LC12 might rule it out for running in super loose dirt, but nothing that couldn't be remedied with some steel gearing. LC has had sort of cult following for quite awhile, and I don't know why these haven't taken off as an intro spec class to get more people into the racing side of the hobby, but hopefully with more reviews like this, that will start to change. Best minis on the market! Still!
love this buggy! I tried 2.2 sized tires on it, but seemed to not be engineered to handle that size wheel... broke the cvds. switched back to stock wheels haven't had an issues since
Great little cars. I've been running LC cars for years now and this one is really a big step forward in performance. :) It's just really too bad this scale doesn't get more traction in the RC racing scene.
I've messed around with a few LC cars before, but really got to spend some time with this one. I was pretty impressed with how it handled. I've been to a few smaller 1/10 tracks where this LC12B1 would be a perfect fit. I agree this scale should get some more attention.
@@subietech2019 yes, that are pretty good. The Covid crap is making things a little slow to get over here, but check out Warren RC or Riptide RC. They should all the parts you could need.
I might try this class. I didn't like racing the mini b on the back carpet track last night. I like the layout and size of the gray track. This car would probably be easier to drive than a mini b? I'm hoping?
I’ve had the LC racing fright for 3 years. Bashed it, put paddles on it, raced it. The only time it’s ever broken on me is when I run 3s lipo it has a tendency to twist axles and strip ring/pinions. But it’s PLENTY fast on the 2s batteries and it will drive forever with little to no maintenance. Highly recommend this car to literally anybody.
We race these LC Racing vehicles in various forms. Excellent cars. We use the nylon wings for durability, but a 1/10 wing should be more than fine. Biggest thing would be to go with that upgraded center diff cups that are one piece, unless you really really REALLY coat the set screw with threadlock. The floating servo mount combined with say the SRT M12 servo is a beast. Drop some schumacher SST Pin tires on these cars and its like velcro on the track.
the thing with this is that i run the 1/14 scale buggy, which have the same electronics as this 1/12 scale minus your motor being bigger, but i was still able to run it on a 1/8 scale track at revelation rc, on 2s and clear most of the jumps. but on 3s jumps is not the issue, landing them is the issue lol. my point is if a 1/14 scale can run on a 1/8 dirt track. the 1/12 should be able to do just fine on a 1/10 scale track, and the fact that the 1/14 and the 1/12 literally have the same wheels.
Great review... thinking of getting back into the hobby since flying planes many years...nice car do they sell a rtr version that is almost as nice??? also what size 2s are you running here? 40c 2200? thanks
I got Tacon Bulwark for Christmas. It's great! 10th scale buggy rear tires all around! Perfect size racer for smaller indoor track, and large enough to bash anywhere!
What diff oil do any of you use because I’m a little lost so it would be much appreciated if anyone could tell me some decent set ups for racing. thank you!
Matthew,Neufer Ruach of Yahweh Yep, it’s the one part on every car that seizes my brain up when talking about it. Happens in all my reviews. No bearings on the plate. They use a steel shoulder bushing.
Yes, but it's just a bigger version of the 14401. Nothing much changed under the hood. LC racing has sway bars and slipper clutch which make a whole worlds of difference in handling.
Logan Cosandier Typically you can use a NiMh battery on a LiPo ESC. But you shouldn’t use a LiPo on a NiMh only ESC; there are however low voltage warning devices that can be added if you really wanted to.
I LOVE MY LC RACING BUGGY! Four years of hardcore carpet racing and I could count on one hand the broken parts. So cheap to run. Easy to maintain and fast as heck. Way superior to the losi.
THANK YOU! I have been on the fence between getting this, or fixing and upgrading my Losi that breaks every time I take it out. You probably saved me a ton!
Thank you for the good work and i like it very much because is very cheap for me and i like it very much. Now tell me how many milimeters hex has this car, what size of lipo battery take for example can i put 1/10 size lipo batteries ? And can i put 540 size electronics? Generraly i loved this vehicle because of ther price as a kit, because an 1/10 4wd racing buggy (kit only) cost over 400 dollars and i can't buy it easily, so the half of the price for this buggy it's very helpful me.
panayiotis konstantos It has 12mm hexes and uses a smaller lipo found more often in 1/14 scale cars and it needs smaller electronics. Maybe you could custom fit a short 1/10 servo but smaller electronics would be easier.
It’s the 124019. And is a copy of this LC12B1. With brushed electronics. I have one ordered as I didn’t see the LC Racing first. WLTOYS I believe the shocks and diffs are inferior to the LC Racing ones. Such as the pistons in the shocks aren’t machines well so you need a lot thicker oil to compensate for the blow by. And the diffs aren’t sealed so only grease can be used.
It's just ridiculous how these cheaper buggies have better parts then the high end popular competition buggies. Makes me wonder what their excuse is. Nice little buggie.
I love Tacon/Lc Racing. I don't think I can race any other brand. Their durability is amazing and driving experience great. Hopefully this one carries on their great reputation!

Cool, just ordered the LC12B1. I also have an arrma, it's a Kraton/talion hybrid
I like mine very much. I had some setup issues on my gravel track. Then i switched to bigger 1:10 tires and it changed the whole behaviour of the car. It's much faster, more pedictable and got more grip.
Does it look odd with 1/10 scale wheels and tyres
This video convinced me, i ordered two of them for me and my son. After comparing many cars i've got to say that this seems to have the best quality and performance in this price range. If it shares some parts with wltoys, the availability will be safe for the next years.
That's nice to hear. I want one too. Just concerned if the company is here to stay for a while
I have both the Wltoys and this and the Wltoys parts are completely inferior. Just get replacement parts from riptide or warrenrc

so are oil filled diffs better than grease filled? does this car have a better seal than other cars to mke sure oil does not leak out? thanks

Get the LC emb 1 for bashing or I have the emb T (truggy) or the Tacon rc Bulwalk is the same car it's a beast and durable
Imagine this with some hop up parts and perfect tuning for them.
What battery did you use in this great little buggy
paper boy The LC Racing 2000mAh 7.4v LiPo. Part: L6044

This or a wltoys?
I think the answer is clear...
What diff oil do any of you use because I’m a little lost so it would be much appreciated if anyone could tell me some decent set ups for racing. thank you!
The best diff oil that you can use is traxxas and team associated oil they sell them everywhere and in amazon..

@Bill Perri the lc truggy. Same chassis

Yup, on all levels lol
That looks awesome. Would love to operate it.
Does anyone know if the 1/14 scale models can fit a 1/10 motor?
Very cool buggy, I want a racer like that but I don't use lipos. Still cool
Also I have a track behind my house and this would be perfect for it
You could probably fit a 5-cell 2/3A NiMh Pack in the battery area.
Oh, never I just thought the esc could only use lipos. Thanks for the info!

What size motor and servo does it need
the 2850 4500kv is the most common
What the battery dimensions
Have you compared them side by side
Jaimeson Ritter No, sorry, don’t have the AE buggy.
Is it true that it is the exact same car as the WlToys 144001?
No, that car is alike to the emb1 but quality is very low on the Wl toys one and they're similar but not exact
What electrics can i put in it? I need to know asap plz
Small scale can motors so like my LC truggy has a 2850 4500kv and a hobbywing bl60 esc
Go-to warrenrc.com he sells everything for these cars
