Hi @PyjamakingTech You should do a retarget skeleton video because when i started with the 3person starter template it the mannequin UE5 and UE4 was missing a lot of bone structures.
Is it at all possible to copy the als anim blueprint, and get that to point to a completely different skeletal hierarchy? I know doing this would break all the animations, thats fine, Ill just make new animations, I only need the base logic, most of which Im gonna end up stripping away for this character anyway, but I cant seem to find a way to force this. Maybe I could go back into maya and try to skin my character to (a pretty distorted version of) the ue4 mannequin skeleton, but this character has3 bone ik legs, and i wouldnt want all of the humanoid animations populating into this characters available animations, and vice versa. Ive even tried just copy pasting the nodes from the anim man anim blueprint to a fresh blueprint targeted to my custom skeleton, but I ran into a roadblock since there are so many functions and interface calls and what not on the blueprint.

i just change every skelleton hirachy in blender as i use tham for the first time and retarget every animation to the ue4 skelleton. So i have a Project with every character with the ue4 skelleton and every anymation for example all paragon on the ue4 Skelleton. As i need one i just megrate tham.And retargetting works best if you zero the bone rotations i did any where on my chael a tutorial.
like always, they all make the tutorials with the char from the market place, because its easy. nobody shows it with a real custom char. empty promises like so many youtubers

not a game its a game creation engine. It allows people to create games.
