    Excellent! I used a now slightly newer version of multiprotocol, but brought the OpenTX model straight into my RM T16s, then just flew it.

    I just simply using Windows File Explorer copy the unzipped firmware that you provided to the SD card on the TX as I had the TX already connected - the USB drive that comes up as ‘unnamed’ is the one that has all the files and folders - and i copied it over to that one on the radio to the correct folder as you described. Then I just made sure I closed all my USB connections on the pc - and unplugged my TX - it restarted and I followed your firmware install steps - worked like a charm - no need to unplug the MicroSD card ! Cheers thanks for this awesome video !

    Thanks very much for this video, just bought a M2 from someone and a new TX16s. I'm an absolute beginner, setting the radio and connecting it too the heli was no way possible without your help! All these different settings is like Chinese to me, don't understand anything of it, not yet at least. But I got there, the radio is binded succesfully to the M2, had a little try out in my shed but it drifts tremendously, still something to look into and yeah...No skills yet so better do this again outside...Greetz from Belgium!

    Thanks so much. My OMP M2 comes in tomorrow hopefully. I have Spektrum and Open TX. I have been wanting to learn how to set up a heli on Open TX, so I programmed a 9X I have for the internal receiver of this heli. (Have to update multi module firmware tomorrow to get the protocol). Now this is very interesting. This means I can now fly all my favorite OMP Hobby RC Planes like Worlds best RC beginners plane and glider the amazing T720 and The OMP Hobby Aerobatics S720 Planes with my RadioMaster TX16S. Just one question remains bud. Who developed this firmware and will this affect any other multiprotocols or is it just that it adds OMP Protocol to Radio?
    updating my firmware as we speak. hahaha. So I can bind both of my M2 and M2 EXP to my TX16S and go crazy. No need that SFHSS Futaba Rx anymore.

    Hey, can these settings be used with xk k110 ??? For me the left stick(gimble) , up and down works well, Left and right does not work, tail does not respond. The right stick( gimble) works down and to the left. Toggle Switches also work like yours. I think my remote control is bad. I did not disassemble my remote control at all. I've only been flying for a month, I still don't know much. What do you advise to do?
    Do you maybe have a file with settings that I can download into my remote control?
    When I ordered the xk k110 heli , it came with its own remote control which was with the helicopter from the factory, everything works well. But I can’t get it to work with the Radiomaster TX16s.

    So is there anyway to use the omp protocol using the settings you have in your other video with pitch curves etc? I don't understand this setup. They got the flight modes on the right side but I'm used to having them on the left side. Not sure where throttle hold is? and what is channel 7 SH switch the gyro on off switch? The whole setup is so confusing to me and nothing like what you did on your other video. It seems like a whole new learning curve (pun intended) from what I had before.

    • @BuddyRC
      @BuddyRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      2 completely different setups. The omp receiver has its own curves and they are on a channel instead of like an external receiver and being in the transmitter.
      If you're using the internal receiver it's best to start a new model and follow this setup directly.
      The internal curves is a big reason most choose to use an external receiver.

      @@BuddyRC I did a quick walkout test. >non line of sight> (RadioMaster 16S internal OMP) Transmitter indoors through 2 block walls and through a barn 150 ft away.
      It has more range than my DX-9 with a full range Spektrum RX.
      Spektrum barely makes it through the two block building walls.
      Also it is not well known or documented but Spektrum reduced the power in all of their newer transmitters since the DX9 came out.
      I have determined on my own that the US versions have been reduced in output power to match the EUR transmitters (Around 40-50mW).
      My older DX6i (DSMX-DSM2) cranks out around 200mW.

    Will this work with the M1? Just seeing if I have to do anything different for the M1 version

    why are there no throttle and pitch curves? using this method?

    • @BuddyRC
      @BuddyRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For the internal omp receiver all curves are internal to the receiver. Good for beginners or people that don't need or want to set their own.

      @@BuddyRC ok so I’m assuming then if I want to use throttle and pitch curves, I’d need to use the satellite then?

    Hi is this working on the TX16S SE radio? thanks

    • @BuddyRC
      @BuddyRC  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep! The protocols don't matter as it uses a direct connection with USB. However if you have a wireless dongle connection then you'll need to ensure its one of the protocols the SE can do

    Hi, thank you for the tutorial.
    Is the firmware is the original multi firmware, updated with OMP protocol ?
    And last question, telemetry ( Lipo voltage ) is possible ? Thank you !

    • @BuddyRC
      @BuddyRC  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can find the firmware @ github.com/pascallanger/DIY-Multiprotocol-TX-Module
      Pascal is working on getting the telemetry working. When it's stable and a feature I will do another video on the setup ;)
