For those who aren’t familiar with guns: that line that says “the only thing holding back the great hereafter, is bad primers, with good timing”….
Primers are a small circular ignition device on the rear of a center-fire bullet/round/shell. So a bad primer is when you pull the trigger and the firing pin hits that primer, but the round doesn’t go off. Knowing that, the song hits even deeper…knowing the trigger was pulled, but didn’t make the round go off.

Thank you, my cousin took his life with a shotgun. That's why I chose this one. My dad had to clean everything up. In my opinion, God loves and forgives, even the tormented souls. I can't imagine knowing only pain in my life and never feeling peace. I hope everyone that chose this route has everlasting peace in heaven. I don't consider it selfish, like some say. I consider it the final symptom of a disease called depression.

One of my best friends took her life 6 years ago today. I started crying as soon as I heard what the song was about. No coincidence at all. His voice reminds me of lord Huron ( the night we met) thanks Rosalie for all your insight... I lost another friend yesterday, who was my best friend's mother, my life long best friend passed July 25th of 2017 and her mom who was like a mom to me, passed today.🥺( Lost another life long friend in feb, and last year, my father passed Jan 9, and my son's father passed March 7th... my son is only 2 he'll be 3 in less than two weeks. So yeah this past year and half has been very hard. I appreciate all your videos, you get me through a lot Rosalie. Laughter, insight, and tears I've shared with you. Thank you for all you do! 💞

Devastating is the first word that comes to mind. Evan delivers the sing with such powerful and raw emotion. Every time I watch him live and perform this song, it's quite difficult to contain my emotions and I find myself holding back tears.

People feel so stuck in their own heads that they can't see all the people suffering around them, all while desperately wanting for someone to help them out of it. Then when someone reaches out to them they do everything they can to escape it and not be burdened to help when they already feel so overburdened, and so the cycle continues. Only when people step out of their own strife to help others, even if just a little, does this cycle end.
People have this idea they need to deal with the entire life's worth of suffering when people reaches out, but even just a sincere hug and the will to be there and love them for a little bit can make a world of difference. I remember a teacher that sincerely cared for me when I was in the darkest of places. Even now tears come to my eye thinking of her. She is one of the few people who helped, but till this day it stuck.
It barely took her more than a few tens of minutes once every few months, but it made a huge difference. Sincerity is what counts, not results.

As always great reaction I agree a very recognizeable tone to his voice I feel like a Roy Orbison meets James Blunt kind of voice the song itself is very powerful and deep the lyrics are deffintely deep thanks for this ride as always your ride or die forever Eyyyy Ooooo

Hello from England. His voice is lush, depth and emotion, all there. Bittersweet and hauntingly beautiful. I'm getting Roy Orbison style sometimes, and some rougher edges in the mix. Maybe Bruce Springsteen. And maybe a little, Jeff Buckley. At the end of the day , he's him and music is a continuum and the human condition is too.

My brother tried to kill himself. It's hard to imagine what would have happened if he had succeeded. Another great video about this topic is "Inside The Fire" by Disturbed. Heavy trigger warning, the video is graphic.

Hi, Rosalie I don’t usually comment but I really enjoy your breakdowns of lyrics to reality and what they are trying to convey through music. I was hoping/ wondering if you would be able to react to Ren’s song Heritic. Thanks and have a lovely Monday!

I don't know if I recommended Bloodywood: Jee Veerey. Same theme and a band that goes a bit further.
