Kenneth Lovejoy ’76, ’80: UToledo 2024 College of Engineering Distinguished Alumni

Kenneth Lovejoy boasts a 30-year career in the glass industry, originally starting as a project engineer at Owens-Illinois, Inc. He advanced to leadership roles, including vice president of facilities engineering and vice president of environmental health and safety.
Since retiring in 2011, he and his wife, Jean, have supported education in northwest Ohio, establishing scholarships for students in the UToledo College of Engineering and College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences while also supporting Rocket Athletics. Additionally, they have expanded their support to help fund joint research and development projects in the areas of engineering and Pharmacy.
