Yes I got screwed by Camping World on the rate because I didn’t get their service contract. I had a 740 FICO and bought a used toy hauler. The rate was 13.5% two months ago, I am going to refinance as soon as possible. Sadly the RV I wanted wasn’t available within 500 miles
A dealership in Texas wouldn’t budge on the price and wouldn’t take off any of the “extras”. I told them I found a better deal in Missouri and was told “well if you think it’s worth it, then maybe you should drive to Missouri”. I did just that, then drove by the dealership on my way back with my new trailer hitched up to my truck. I’m going to make a special trip all the way up from Texas to you guys to purchase my next RV.
I've made that same decision David. Haylett's a bit of a drive (I'm in Vancouver, WA) but I like RV'ing because I like to travel. If it takes three days to get to the dealer so I can buy from someone I like. It doesn't seem like much of a drive at all!
Last vehicle I bought they started the bs spiel and my lovely daughter asked him if he wanted to hear her talk about her period, he said will lets get this done for you and stopped the bs. Having independent young women for daughters is at times a blessing.
Been in Jeff’s office...TWICE. Easy going and straight forward guy. Honest and low pressure finish to the Haylett buying experience. I (we) will have no problem driving the 250 miles (each way) to purchase a 3rd RV from these fine folks, should that need ever arise. BUY WITH CONFIDENCE AND NO STRESS AT HAYLETT RV! 💎💎💎💎💎
My girl needed a bank statement and stub last week and I was worried about her not getting her new car 😴 but everything good now only because of deelscafe good work 👍.
That’s it! I can’t take any more! I was able to put up with your silliness and your goofy jokes but the honesty is over the line! LOL! I can’t wait until my wife and I settle on a model. I will be making the trip to see you guys without hesitation! Great videos!
Hi Josh, we bought our Geo Pro from you and payed for it outright, once we told our salesman it's a cash deal there was never a mention of financing from your team, I was waiting for the speil but it never happened. I can say from personal experience your team is the best !!
Thank you sir . Was purchasing used vehicle . Dealer said " conditional approval . After listening to sales pitch . Walked . Certainly hope next year when ready to purchase RV . We can do business . Gladly would drive the 150 + miles . Worked at a reputable RV dealer for years. Seen the games .
Yours is not the only vidio I've seen on this. But I like your honesty Haylett's did me right on the used 2017 Highwall I bought. Mike was great to deal with.
Here's the deal. You go into a dealer, looking at an RV, say, that's advertised for $37,995. You like it and want to buy it. So when it comes time, they ask you about financing. Now if you know like me about the 'kickbacks' that dealers get from lenders, you will say you want to pay cash. They balk and say, "Well, that's going to cost you $2500 more if you pay cash".. (because they're not gonna get that kickback). So if you are not like me, you go ahead and pony up and sign on the dotted line for oh, RV, TAX, PREP, "paperwork" for licensing etc, and them possible for that useless spray stuff inside and outside, and an inflated extended warranty that only covers 5 years. Yes, it's true. SO you can walk out paying on a loan that is MUCH larger than that $37,995 price. Oh yea, and if you're real lucky they will not tell you that the loan you are getting will have a prepayment penalty of several hundred dollars or more (to discourage you from getting that 'cheap' financed price and quickly paying it off, so the lender and dealer lose money - the lender on all that luscious interest and the dealer on that luscious kickback. That happened to us last year (Aug 2021), though it was buying a FR product that was on 'sale' for $25,995. We put $7K down, and then after tax, title, and the extended warranty and other add on crap, we walked out with a loan for about $26K. The lender was US Bank, so we started making payments of $252 a month. Fast forward to April of this year. We used our FR Grey Wolf 26JDSE for a month long trip thru Michigan in September, and then in October for two weekends. We decided we'd like a bigger unit with a slide or two, so we started back at our original dealer. After we found a couple of RVs that were to our liking, we started talking numbers. THEIR offer on our 2021 trade-in was $18K. We'd made, oh, 7 payments on the loan, so we started looking at payoff, which was still about $25K, but included a hefty prepayment penalty! SO I said, no way, I played that game years ago with car dealers wanting to 'roll' that difference into the new loan. I flat out told them I was going to pay cash, and the $37,995 sale price on the RV we liked jumped in price to about $40,500! So we walked, even though we were return customers. The RVs were not exactly flying off the lot. We returned a few times, comparing it to other RVs we'd seen a other dealers, etc. Now, they did promise to honor the $38K price, even though newer units were going to be coming it at a higher price (all 2022s). SO I tried to sell our Grey Wolf privately, first listing it for about $27K, but then dropped the price to what we wed on it (including payoff penalty). Now the finance guy told me he didn't know about the prepayment penalty when I mentioned it him one of the times we came back. In any case, we nearly pulled the trigger on a couple of other ones at other dealers but ultimately liked the Coachmen Cataline Legacy 323BHDSCKLE. So they were 'nice' to kinda hold it back for us (whether they actually did or just didn't have a buyer, I don't know). Well, on May 3rd, we had a hail storm roll thru here, and the Grey Wolf got peppered on the back by some hail hits (not really a lot). I turned it into the insurance company (Foremost), and ultimately they chose to total it out after a couple of weeks or so. As we had "guaranteed replacement value" in our policy ($60 a year extra), they were prepared to pay up to 120% of the original purchase price of the Grey Wolf. I went back to my dealer and asked them for a current quote to buy a new identical model and they gave me a purchase agreement for $32K and some change. They paid off US BANK (no prepayment penalty) and we got a check for $6K more than what we owed on it. LOL. SO now we went back a couple of times in June to see the RV we liked and were still comparing. Our salesman was a great guy who we liked, so he was patient. He did finally call me the first week of July and said he didn't want to pressure us BUT their other dealership an hour or so away had a buyer for the Catalina and could we come in and purchase it. Now that was on a Thurs afternoon, and we had one more dealership to check out that was about 2 hrs from our house. So I told him we were going to the other dealership and if we didn't opt to purchase anything there I would call him Friday and if I told him we were gonna buy it then my word is binding to me and we would buy it. Anyways, we drove to the other dealership (Camping World, used to be Top Raper in Richmond IN). WE saw several ones that were nice and even had a top of the line 2021 Rockwood that was barely used for $38K. We nearly grabbed that but it had a small bunkroom (we needed a bigger one) and no outdoor kitchen. SO our salesman from our original dealer called me and I told him we were mulling it over - and we were gonna go eat first and what time would be good to call him back. He said he needed to know by 8 pm because the guy was coming in the morning to pick up the Catalina and take it back to their other dealership. He said they'd still honor the $38K price. So we finished up about 8:15 pm, and I called him and said "We'll do it, however, I'm going to pay cash and I'm not gonna pay that extra $2500 because the other dealers didn't play that way. So he called me back a little later and said OK, so the next day we went into buy it. We did not opt to buy the $4000 5 year extended warranty. We did not pay for the interior spray as we'll scotchguard it ourselves. The outside paint thing, that is supposed to prevent black streaks, I didn't buy because it DID NOT prevent black streaks on the Grey Wolf. I now have THREE separate decent companies competing for our Extended Warranty business (for about $2500). Anyways I cut them a check for $44,482 and we got it. SORRY this is a long story but it needed to be told.
The big box place hated me at purchasing, sitting at the desk, time. I said I was paying for it outright. They were trying desperately to get me to finance a few times. It got awkward, I almost walked a few times. I then asked what I should bring a bank check for. Before that happened, I was brought in to the big boss office. I let him go through his spiel about all the extended warranties, tires, fabric, so many pamphlets with prices scribbled on them. At the end I said I was g into wrested in any, more pushing, I got up, asked his the same question. How much should I bring a bank check for. The next time I went to buy stuff from the store, I was a total stranger to everyone. I didn’t care. I got the rig I wanted at a decent price without all the pricey frosting.
Read my experience, above. Even if I DECIDED to buy an extended warranty at a dealership, like a car, I never EVER pay full price. I start about 1/3 the price they want and go up from there. I just bought an RV and didn't buy that crap they spray on the inside, as we can Scotchguard it ourselves. The crap they want to spray on the outside, to 'seal' the paint and decals, IT DOESN"T WORK either. We paid that crap on the Grey Wolf we bought last year and we got black streaks that only a citrus cleaner would remove by hand rubbing. Waste of money but it's padding for the dealer. SAME for financing. THEY GET kickbacks form the lenders then send buyers to. Dealer was gonna try that on me again but I flat out said NO and they blinked. \
Awesome save at the end lol...me and my wife have been looking but in a year RVS have shot up in price something awful. And we cant afford...at this time ...prob wait another year when everything is back to normal and get a better deal.
The folks at Haylett seem to be straight shooters. I never pay for any add-ons when buying vehicles. Biggest joke was when a Ford dealership tried to sell me gap insurance for an F150 I bought for 30% below MSRP; they just looked funny when I told them that there is not such a thing as gap when you buy a vehicle at such a discount.
My husband and I are getting ready to purchase r 4th TV this year. However, unlike any other time, we r having to finance it. Thank you so much for the information. I feel like we r not going in blind
Perfect, keep up the good videos. That's why I started watching you. I have dealt with some shady characters at the last RV store chain that I will never go back to and will leave unnamed, generally ( cough, cough).
I’m slowly going through the process of figuring out what RV to buy. Gotta say, I live in NY and I would drive to buy from you. Your videos, outside of being funny, are the most informative I have seen. Thank you for your time and efforts, very much appreciated.
I appreciated Jeff when I bought my RV from Haylett. He answered all my questions, mentioned all the things he needed to, got the paperwork wrapped up, and I was out the door with my new Haylett RV ball cap. 👍 Yes, I plan on making the 500 mile trip up there for the next go around.
I've seen a lot of your videos like this and that is why I'm going to buy my camper from you guys. I'm about an hour away from you. Unfortunately, I want a particular Forest River. It will be hard to get my wife to change her mind. I actually put in a request for a quote on it.
Thank you for all of your videos! My husband and I are in the first stages of looking and eventually buying a Travel Trailer and your videos have been a great help to us. Thank you from NC!
@@JoshtheRVNerd I do have one question... our front runner is the 2021/22 Nano 213RDS off-grid, I’ve noticed that none of the videos that I have viewed mentions the fact that is doesn’t have a roof ladder. I think from one of your videos(I think yours, like I said we have viewed a lot of TH-cam videos so I could be mixing information up😂)that if it doesn’t have a ladder then the roof is not walkable. We haven’t been able to actually see the 213RDS in person since we can’t find one on a lot and we are willing to take a drive to find one😀. Would you happen to know if the roof is walkable and if not walkable what is the best way to get up there to make checks and/or repairs? Mena from NC
@@menaandpapisweekendadventu6619 Not having a roof ladder doesn't NECESSARILY denote a non-walkable roof Apex doesn't offer a ladder from the factory nor are the walls made to add one after. Their roofing is walkable -- especially on the nano series with no A/C ducted carved thru the roofing You just need a ladder
I have always done my financing and insurance shopping on my own. Not that I don’t trust dealers ( I don’t 😁). I just think for myself and don’t use the sales prevention team. Good info thanks!
Is integrity making a comeback?, thank God. It's a win win for both buyers and sellers he made a very good point about being upside down from the add on its hurts everyone and not sustainable in the long run. I just might stop in on the way through in May 😉
You always have so much and true information for us and we appreciate that wholeheartedly.. I'm always scared of the F & I man. I know my transaction will be a very smooth one with Haylett RV.. actually if you did do another video on all your other sales people we could meet Wild Bill.. 😄
THANK YOU josh, our dealer said we couldnt get gap ins cause the bank said no they wont except it and if something happens the bank eats the lose, now im spooked cause we owe more than the RV is worth!!
Good vid...thanks. Always appreciate your content. One thing is important here however. if a dealership is being truly honest and professional, the finance officer will never refer to a depreciating asset is an "Investment". By definition, it is not an investment, it is a consumable purchase. And while a salesperson might talk about "investing" in your quality of life or whatever, anyone in finance that debates the clear distinction is at best misleading the customer, and at worst, exploiting basic financial ignorance.
Thank you for what you do... we watch alot of your videos & it's keeping us in our research. We live in Colorado - but if we decide on a trailer that you carry - we'll drive the distance. 😉
I can never Thank You enough for all the information..Mostly your honesty that you share and remind all of us that there are still men of honor in the world. Thanks Again.
Videos and testimonials in the comments over and over agin are 1 of the so many reasons my wife and I will be going to Haylett RV for our next RV. Thank you Josh for all the hard work you put behind the scenes into these videos. You cover so many great topics and are so honest and open about it. Great work! 👍🏻👍🏻
Hey Josh, I am a finance manager at a Family Owned RV dealership in Michigan as well and loved the transparency you had. I hear the same things you have heard customers say over and over again. I also clarify that the products I offer are optional and are up to the customers discernment to decide if they want the protections for their investment. I just stumbled across your account while looking for info on the juice pack solar charges and saw this and had to comment. I am tired of these massive corporations who pressure sell and hurt customers long term. I just appreciated the honesty in your video! Though I may be a competitor on the other side of the state, I hope you have a great season making customers happy and comfortable with their purchases!
Now I know why this camper cast me so much I got hosed and you know who did it and I didn’t know it was happening thank you for the opening can’t wait to bring you my business
I'm sorry to hear you had that experience somewhere, Leon. Hopefully this video helps you approach your next purchase a little wiser with a better idea of what to watch out for
Unfortunately we had this tactic used on us by a National RV Chain. We was advised that our odds of approval would be “greater” if we added the GAP protection and extended plan. At this point they already let my daughter write our name on the RV window. So the emotional attachment was created and, I didn’t say no. The information you have provided Josh is invaluable and we will make the drive to purchase our next RV from Haylett. Thank you
It’s kind of like lawyers and politicians. There are actually good lawyers and good politicians out there who truly want to do a good job and help people. But just like in sales there are enough warms who call themselves lawyers, politicians, or salesman that it gives all of us a bad name sadly
We bought a 5th wheel from Haylett last year and it was a great experience. We arrange the financing over the phone and drove up there from NC to pick it up. I was worried they were going to find a way to charge me more once I got there knowing I came from so far and wouldn’t leave without the trailer, but there were no surprises. Jeff offered me some add ons but had no problem with me declining them and we drove out of there with a great trailer at the price we had agreed on over the phone. Great company to buy from.
Had this exact thing happen to me years ago when purchasing a motorcycle. Fell for it, paid it. Luckily I canceled a month or two later and got my money back.
This video was inspired by an afternoon I spent with some friends. They were buying a car and just didn’t feel comfortable with the place. Turns out they had good reason to be concerned. Nearly every single thing mentioned in this video was directly i spires by what they were told by the finance officer of that place. I won’t drop names of the place but man it’s tempting
Thanks Josh! I've heard those stories from my friends that financed their RV's. SMH! It's best to shop financing different places and pre-qualify before you buy or really, just pay cash!
I am toying with the idea of making a video series that alerts people to various RV recalls as they pop up. I am concerned it could be taken the wrong way as many are inclined to instantly seek the negative in any presentation. Your thoughts?
@@JoshtheRVNerd I wish I can help you answer that question Josh, I’m a newbie myself, I been tracking the RV industry for about a year now, the only one I really have my eyes on is the Intech TT, are you a dealer for them?
@@Outdoor-Adventures the 2nd half of your comment didn't populate initially. Just said "the one I am interested in it..." with nothing after lol We are not an intech dealer at this time
Jeff was great to deal with when we financed our camper. Was not pushy with the warranty options just gave you the options and didn't push. Haylett was great to deal with and will buy my next camper there next time
Bought a 2021 cougar 38mbi for 44k OUT THE DOOR. (That’s with gap and extended warranty)Holman RV in Ohio was AWESOME. camping world same unit here in NC 52k out the door. FEES fees more fees. Gave me a lot for my trade but fee fee fee extra this extra that AND WOULDNT take it off! So I found the unit else where got the dealer to match the trade and saved just about 7 thousand dollars going to Ohio because they don’t do fees like that. Yes it was 480 miles there 480 back. But they let me stay on the property overnight I slept in it tested it and came home. Don’t be afraid to go to wherever the deal is!
Continued honesty and integrity from Josh the RV Nerd is why I’ve convinced my wife that we need to buy from Haylett RV even though we live in Texas! Also if they are up for it I think it may be nice to do a short video introducing other staff if they are up for especially sales and service staff.
I definitely want to do some "meet the team" stuff but man.. I'm DROWNING in work right now. I have three RVs in the yard waiting for me and I'm desperately trying to keep up here on youtube as well
@@JoshtheRVNerd I'm sure we can all understand the load you are under right now with trying to keep up. No rush, just a suggestion for when there is a lull in your workload. Please keep up the good work, we all appreciate it!
@Ken S They really don't have the time either as they're strapped to the phones and keyboards pretty much constantly when not showing clients around the grounds
I am so glad that I backed out on buying an RV from the blue dog dealer in Redmond Oregon they were telling me that I had to get this protection plan that was $15,000 extra on top of the price I thought something was weird about it I told them I didn't want it they told me it would not work without getting it I am so glad I didn't get it and now I see what you say and I will spread the word
Thanks Josh for sharing the info, when I purchased my truck last year I told the nice gentleman in finance soon as we walked in the door that I was not interested in any of the extended warranty, paint protection, gap insurance (there was no need) etc, although he kept rambling on trying to sell me protection on Key Fobs for $250 if you lose them they will be replaced he said, my wife and I sat there explaining that we’ve never ever lost a set of keys, it was like he had to sell us something extra, I started to feel sorry for the man and about gave in, then I woke up and kindly told him for the third or fourth time that we was not interested and that I just wanted to buy the Truck!
This is really, really great information. Having worked at a dealership I can't agree more with what you state here. Thank you for your candor and honesty in this business.
My family will be hitting the road in the morning headed to you. We're just over 2hrs away, so it'll be a hike, but we're hoping you'll have what we're looking for.
Spent half a day driving, but the customer service at Haylett RV was by far the best we've experienced in our search thus far. We would've made a purchase, but we were too slow in deciding between a few of the TT's they had and someone beat us to the purchase. I even got to meet Josh! John was the salesperson who walked my full family of five around. I'm sure if they get something in, John will reach out and we'll definitely make the hike back for a purchase.
We are slightly southeast of Haylett, by 700 miles... in South Carolina. I'd go up there, but it's an entire day's drive of about 11 hours behind the wheel time. Bunkhouse is what we're going after, moving up from a small camper. Although, I got to watch the weight carefully with the half ton Ram Hemi... the 4x4 feature has helped a couple times, so the next truck- I'd also want to be a 4x4. You'll find your unit, finding the right camper is like finding a good woman... it takes time.
I would sure like a straight up deal. First one we bought we paid too much for. Second one we still have but ended up with leaks because the roof wasn't sealed right and by the time we figured it out we needed a whole new roof which was not much less than what we paid for it in the first place.
Great video Josh. Anybody who has this "crap" slung at them needs to report it to the F.T.C. or the States Attorney General in what ever State it happens in. Too many "shyster's" selling RV's .....makes it hard on the good dealerships such as yours and worse yet it takes monetary advantage of the unknowing. God Bless you Josh for telling unsuspecting buyers of the pitfalls of unscrupulous dealerships!
It's like going to the grocery store to buy milk and when you get to the check stand they say, you need bread, cookies and eggs to go with that. NO I DON'T!
Josh, I want to thank you for all your videos. I told you awhile back that we were going to purchase a travel trailer and give you the first opportunity to sell us a trailer. After viewing thousands ( much to my wife’s dismay! Lol) we decided the Apex 293rlds was our rig. I contacted your dealership. Randy got back to me and informed me that your guys no longer carry the Apex line. We were very disappointed. But we found one the we liked and purchased it 1-29-21. The transaction went smoothly as this was our first rv. Again I want to thank you for your videos and will continue to watch. We can’t wait to start camping this spring/summer.
Congratulations on your new RV and thank you for allowing us at least that opportunity. I still thin Apex is a great brand -- they simply weren't quite finding the success here we need to tie up ground space (in a regular season) I think you're going to have a great time with a great brand there :) Don't be a stranger -- we love to have owners giving educated feedback as videos roll out!
After watching Josh for so long and looking local in my area here in Pa. I am definitely going to be flying in to see Haylett RV. Just waiting on somethings to come through before I do. Hopefully get to meet Josh.
Lots of good information and industry news and honesty from the first Haylett video I saw about why you don’t leave the slides out while the units sit at the dealership. I don’t own an RV and I’m not really in the market for one for right now. But if I were, there’s a good chance I’d make the drive up there from Louisiana.
@@JoshtheRVNerd No sir. I live in northwest Louisiana near Shreveport. I don’t like my name and picture splashed all over the internet and it’s what I was eating when I was thinking of a screen name. But it fits too. I love shrimp and crawfish and all seafood. In fact I had a fried shrimp po boy and fries for supper last night.
I live in California and you make me what to drive out there to purchase my first travel trailer. Which at the end of this year I will purchase one. Just shopping around at the moment
Okay I need to know my options because I'm planning on the living in this with two roommates because renting has become a hassle and I don't mind being Mobile in fact me and my team end up doing Security contracts a lot of different places so being mobile can be helpful
I have a question. Have you ever heard of a dealer checking credit of a buyer and then tells the buyer her credit will get her, say 4.5% interest, but in actuality the buyers credit was good enough to get her 2.3. Then when the unit is financed the dealer gets the additional percentage for the life of the loan?
@@skyking4501 I've heard of things like that, but I will not pretend to know the inner workings of RV finance to that degree. The loose bit I understand is that it ends up typically working out about even for clients. If an individual went to the same lender to secure the loan, then they'd likely receive the same 4.5% end result Some lenders may pay dealerships that difference between the rates to reflect the labor time the lender itself did not need to invest. Since the dealership did most of the footwork the lender is able to save time overall and may offer the dealership a small payment as a result. I roughly understand that to be the case, but I cannot guarantee that's exactly how things line up. I've been around here a while, but I am basically just the keyboard and camera guy so I don't have 100% knowledge of every position here.
It's a purchase not a "INVESTMENT". Investments don't depreciate. If you consider it a Investment in my family as a memory maker then you would be correct! Love the videos👌👍👍

Dude . There should definitely be whistle blowing in the RV dept. Dont even get me started, as they say. 😆
We'd love the opportunity when you're ready!
I hope you filed a complaint on that dealership
I've made that same decision David. Haylett's a bit of a drive (I'm in Vancouver, WA) but I like RV'ing because I like to travel. If it takes three days to get to the dealer so I can buy from someone I like. It doesn't seem like much of a drive at all!

Thanks for sharing your experience😁. I'm saving up to buy outright and wondered if it's just as crazy as going to the car dealer.
I would not give them my business if that had to me. I no longer have patience for that.
Thank you!
Thanks Josh, appreciate the up front straight talk.
Very helpful to consumers! Love all your videos!
Thank you for your honesty and integrity!

Our pleasure Kenneth!!
Good information. Thank you.
Thank you sir. Always good to have this info in your tool box.
Out pleasure. Forewarned is forearmed
Wish i had known this 5 years ago when we bought our used camper. By the time they were done we could have gotten a brand new one!
Sorry to hear that, Linda. Hope you've simply been able to have a good time since then
I appreciated Jeff when I bought my RV from Haylett.
He answered all my questions, mentioned all the things he needed to, got the paperwork wrapped up, and I was out the door with my new Haylett RV ball cap. 👍
Yes, I plan on making the 500 mile trip up there for the next go around.
Ty again!!
Thanks Josh. ♥️♥️♥️
My pleasure David :)
Great information Josh and Jeff, thank you!
My bro kicking rear end as usual. Great job brother mine. ❤️
Thanks so much for the information and honesty. 👍😉
Thank you and welcome! Share your questions and comments any time. Will do my best to assist!!

I do have one question... our front runner is the 2021/22 Nano 213RDS off-grid, I’ve noticed that none of the videos that I have viewed mentions the fact that is doesn’t have a roof ladder.
@@menaandpapisweekendadventu6619 Not having a roof ladder doesn't NECESSARILY denote a non-walkable roof
Apex doesn't offer a ladder from the factory nor are the walls made to add one after.
Their roofing is walkable -- especially on the nano series with no A/C ducted carved thru the roofing
You just need a ladder
@@JoshtheRVNerd you’re awesome! Thank you!
Excellent Advice Josh, Thank you for shoiting us straight on financing options 😊😊😊👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks Josh. I personally appreciate it.
Thank you for being up front and honest! We need more people like you in the world!!!
We worked with Jeff super nice guy. Very easy to deal with.
I just might stop in on the way through in May 😉
We'd love to meet you. Until then stay safe :)
Sometimes GAP is not available. Financing is a many-layered beast.
But you never HAVE to take things like GAP insurance or extended warranties
Thankfully with us having more locations now you shouldn’t have to drive nearly as far!!
I shared on every platform I'm on. Thats for the information.
I can never Thank You enough for all the information..Mostly your honesty that you share and remind all of us that there are still men of honor in the world. Thanks Again.
You are so welcome

TY for confirming what we've shared here and hope you have a great season!
I’m 655 miles from you guys but will be driving from South Carolina when my wife and I decide to pull the trigger on our first fifth wheel.
Ty so much Richard! Looking forward to it!
Thank you Josh! Great video as always. It's so easy to get caught up in all that extra salesy stuff.
So true!
Good info some dealers I know trys some of this. Pays to do the homework before going in. Great job as always
Thanks 👍
Now I know why this camper cast me so much I got hosed and you know who did it and I didn’t know it was happening thank you for the opening can’t wait to bring you my business
I'm sorry to hear you had that experience somewhere, Leon. Hopefully this video helps you approach your next purchase a little wiser with a better idea of what to watch out for
Thank you sir. Happy Haylett camping everyone. Harry & Cathy Antioch IL
Same to you!
Thank you
I'm sorry to hear that. I hope you're able to just have built some good memories since
@@JoshtheRVNerd Yes sir ! Seasonal campers that get to enjoy some Grandchildren now ☺️ We could not ask for better memories!
Great information. It’s sad that there’s so many scammers out there, trying to get your hard earned money. They’re to lazy to get a job.
TY Matt
Had this exact thing happen to me years ago when purchasing a motorcycle. Fell for it, paid it. Luckily I canceled a month or two later and got my money back.
Very good advice Josh! Thank you!
My pleasure!
This is why I purchased from you and will be a repeat customer when I’m ready for another one.
TY Chris :)
Great video info. I think we've all been there.
Although GAP insurance is very helpful! I would consider that over other extras especially when buying new.
Thanks Josh! I've heard those stories from my friends that financed their RV's. SMH!
It's best to shop financing different places and pre-qualify before you buy or really, just pay cash!
I would love to have your business, honesty goes a long way, is not always about the profits.

What?! That's a serious potential violation of a lot of things.. good for you for not being muscled into anything
I don't mind being presented with options, but when I say "no thank you" I do prefer that to be the end of it.
This is really, really great information. Having worked at a dealership I can't agree more with what you state here. Thank you for your candor and honesty in this business.
Thanks, Josh for always looking out for us. When I come visit from Niagara Falls, NY will I be able to get your autograph??. 😁
You bet! Did one today actually :)
You're a good guy Josh... Your videos are awesome. Even though I am from Canada, someday I will buy an RV from you.
Please do!
Thanks for your honesty Josh!!!
My pleasure!
NO I DON'T!
Very good to know. Thanks as always for great info.

My last trailer was financed with US Bank. Paid it off in 2 years, and after reading the fine print it had an early payoff penalty. 😡😡😡
Wow! Don’t hear of that much. US Bank...nice to know.
What?! We have US Bank too! I specifically asked about payoff early penalty and they said no. Now I gotta figure out where to double check our terms.
Best advice on trading up with negative equity.
Sorry I’m not sure if that’s a statement or a request for advisory. Could you clarify?
Looking for Geopro, but too bad you’re not in California!!, I would totally purchase one from you!!
I still thin Apex is a great brand -- they simply weren't quite finding the success here we need to tie up ground space (in a regular season)

If an individual went to the same lender to secure the loan, then they'd likely receive the same 4.5% end result
Some lenders may pay dealerships that difference between the rates to reflect the labor time the lender itself did not need to invest.
