    Why not hardwire the sonos vs using the boost? You'll need to disable wifi on the sonos to ensure you don't have a spanning tree loop, but it'll be a more reliable signal. Also, sonos does say they can handle 4 speakers per amp (6 if you use the sonos/sonance architectural speakers), so no worries there.
    To keep it super slick, I'd throw a middle atlantic sonos rack (RSHA-SONOS-AMP6 would be perfect) and a fan directly above or below the amps as they do get pretty toasty...

    Maybe this is a stupid question but why 6 amps? Wouldn't they have had less components had they gone with a single unit capable of multiple zones for much cheaper? I seriously wish your team was closer. We bought a house with 15 ceiling speakers and the previous homeowner left an old Control 4 system that obviously I can't access. Trying to get help here in Pennsylvania is a joke. Two no shows by the local Control 4 dealer and another that wanted nothing to do with it. Your team seems like they know what they're doing, respect the house they're in and have fun doing it.

    I’m curios why you don’t just go with a multizone amp that distributed audio throughout the house, and then connect one sonos amp to that? Wouldn’t it be much cheaper and easier for both the customer and installing? Also, the bridge is no longer necessary. The amps act as a bridge as well.

    • @allcom5845
      @allcom5845 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In the higher end audio world, that is competitive pricing. You could definitely pay a LOT more for those results. Sonos knows they have an amazing product and it truly is a a multi zone audio integrators dream. You could get 6 sonos ports at $450 and get a russound 16 channel amp or episode or a host of other brands that make QUALITY gear and get same results but its basically gonna cost the same. Idk, maybe amazon sells some cheap crap you can buy for $5 bucks. Get some hanoi wifi cams too, hehehe.

      @@Dreamediaav Surprising after the fuss made over a tiny bit of diy taping around a few wires which is less of a risk than agreeing to install a non-compliant and potentially dangerous appliance. I would have thought the sensible and safest thing to do would have been to lay all the cable infrastructure and then let the client hook it up later, by you hooking it up surely you now take on some sort of responsibility should it burn the house (or even the forest as you pointed out) down. Or did they have to sign a waiver of sorts.

    Anyone know a rough price for this type of job?

    • @BIGLOS___
      @BIGLOS___ 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      my rough guess would be around $3k probably $1500 in equipment and another $1500 to install

      @@BIGLOS___ Not even close. The 6 amplifiers alone cost at least 3500. Each ceiling speaker is 300, and they probably have like 12 or 16 of those. They installed a new TV, added outlets. New projector. New 5.1 surround. New home theater setup with controls. All the wiring and routing. The server room setup. This is very easily a $15,000 setup and install. I think likely more.

      @@BIGLOS___ six amps at $600 each plus all the ceiling speakerss and wiring etc. I think someone needs to check some prices. Even at a start I would say equipment alone would top $10k

      You can also get an old Ford truck and drive the length of the USA but it would be much nicer in an Aston Marton !!
