zak Khan no hes not, he didnt fight or beat the BEST 4 OF HIS WEIGHT CLASS. Barrera, Morales, pacquiao, juan manuel marquez. these are the best of nazeems generation and he ducked them after he got taken to school by barrera.
i think naz made a good decision retiring shortly after, he is a fighter like roy, who relys on his reflexes and power, once he lost it he would have had back to back losses and would have tarnished his legacy like roy. naz bowed out at the right time.
Yes great fighters get beaten and great fighters come back. Pity the Prince never came back; he was past his sell-by date when he took on Barrera. The few fights leading up to Barrera demonstrated this. The hunger had waned and he was only kidding himself by his talk. In his heart of hearts he knew his supreme days were well behind him. In his prime, he was exciting, entertaining and simply unbeatable. But he gave his all in the ring and never made futile excuses. We will cherish the memories.

I was in that arena 21 years ago, first Boxing match I ever went to. Very gracious by Prince Naseem afterwards. We stayed in the MGM that night and saw Barrera in the hotel after we were allowed back out of our room once they had cleared the crowds. I was shocked at how swollen a boxers face gets post fight. Ouch! 🤕
Haha whoever calls Naz a legend is delusional. He was good, never great. He lied as well, he never came back Stronger and he never gave Barrera a rematch. Maybe that was written as well. He was a good showman and had power but a legend he is not, as a mater of fact he wasnt even a great boxer. Glad he lost
All Prince Naz's haters are Islam haters. They all know he is one of the best fighters in the history of the sport but they just hate the fact that he is a Muslim and therefore hate him. SIMPLY
The fact that he is Muslim, of course, merits deserved hatred toward him. However, the real reason he is thoroughly hated is because he is an arrogant braggart with little to back it up. Compare him to Barrera. Barrera didn't shoot his mouth off. He did all of his fighting in the ring and he demonstrated that he was a true boxer and he didn't blabber about his religious faith - Catholicism - after the fight, Whereas Naseem shot his mouth off about islam and allah, etc. ad nauseam, and what good did allah do him in the ring?
It's the other way around. Those who hate Islam because it rightfully deserves such hatred and contempt, also hate "the prince" because he is a muslim. One would think that a person who wears "Islam" on his trunks and blathers about islam after the fight which he lost had better have allah on his side if he is going to win the fight against a "kofar." I guess in this fight, allah had fallen asleep.
T0mat0S0up "Verbal dexterity" simply indicates what we already knew about Naseem - He had a big mouth full of braggadocio and emptiness. However, what makes a boxer, an athlete, a fighter is "physical dexterity," i.e. everything Barrera had to win the fight and everything Naseem lacked.
Hamed lost and accept it like a gentleman. He could of continue with his boxing career but like many other boxers he had to many idiots around him that he had to support.
I think he was pretty humble in defeat, especially giving credit where credit was due. Shame he didn't come back, but then again Barrera did "box" the better fight. I do think Naseem Hamad is a legend but he wasn't a boxer. He had great agility and great power but relied on being able to land bombs on everyone. Sometimes that just isn't gonna work as Barrera showed. Saying that I do think the fight was closer than all the rage filled trolls and haters seem to spew.
well you can't expect a sky flying firework to go boom, it was born to go sky flying, to go high, if you make the fuse go boom, it will probly not as loud as other many fireworks, ok, stupid example, all i am saying is if he didn't fight the way he does, he won't be a "prince"
Naz was a phenomenal natural talent who relied too much on that talent and got found out eventually, Barrera worked hard at his craft and became the best fighter he could be
I see what your saying. But Naz had an underrated chin too. He also had an unorthodox defense. I think Barrera said Nas was the best he fought. Wayne McCullough who drew with Barrera said Nas had the best defense (I think). Nas could of won this fight but he did not train hard enough
Well, naz still dedicated the fight to all muslims, and barrera despite winning the fight has still not become a muslim so he will loose out in hereafter and endup in hell, when he stands before his Lord Allah.
Prince Naseem Hamed was, and probably always will be one of the greatest fighters of the featherweight division. He lost one fight, so what? Muhammed Ali, proclaimed by everybody who matters (and none of the people that will comment on this video matter) to be THE greatest fighter who ever lived, lost FIVE fights. Nobody cares about a few losses, the true boxing fans care about the skill and entertainment a fighter brings to the ring, and Prince was a legend in both regards. Don't give a rats ass what anybody else says or thinks, cos' haters gonna hate.
+Hasan Arshid “Iarehealer” MUHAMMED ALI FOUGHT SOME OF THE GREATEST FIGHTERS IN HISTORY, NASEEM HAMED FOUGHT ONLY CRAPPY FIGHTERS, HE LOST AGAINST THE ONLY GOOD FIGHTER HE EVER FACE, AND THEN RETIRED.
So just cos you hadn't heard of any of his opponents, you automatically call them crappy. Take caps off and take your shitty opinions elsewhere bellend.
Naz was class in this interview. I remember thinking he was a prize prick back in the 90s, but he offered up zero excuses here and gave respect to Barrera.
there was a return clause in the contract Berrera gave up the belt he won when he seen the clown was afraid to take him on again .berrera knew naz could not punch as hard as the rumours had said and he would not have to be careful at all so when he had him hurt he could go for the ko. unlike the 1st fight in which he was being a little cautious and did not go for the kill when he had naz hurt
+Jason West Barerra refused the rematch and Prince had one more fight after this, which he won and then retired due to the injuries he kept sustaining to his hands.
+Gianflavio FX No, Barerra refused the rematch and Prince had one more fight after this, which he won and then retired due to the injuries he kept sustaining to his hands.
You are totally wrong. I'm not going to argue about Tyson because this is a Naz video, but Naseem was one of the most talented boxers that ever exist. You can see he's not the same fighter against Barrera (physically) than in most other bouts. He didn't like to stay away from his family, and so he start to miss the training.
Ash Bisho. It's true all fighters should be judged on their talent. But it was naz who disrespected and belittled other fighters, and was the first to bring religion into the ring by demanding that prayers be said over the microphone system for his father?? This was outrageous imo
That's right Marge Babe l showed best highlights of Pernell Whitaker & The Prince Naseem Hameed over today's fighter Amir Khan an Early scared a retired Floyd Mayweather Whitaker an Hameed was better
+Luis Castellanos Lol! I never liked Amir Khan's or Prince Naseem cockiness. I find that Latinos boxers an't so cocky instead they are more down to earth and humble. Even Marco Barrea showed his humble side and so did Canelo when he beat Amir recently.
Naseem was one of the most impressive natural athletes I've ever seen in the ring - certainly a better natural athlete than barrera. Unfortunately, even though Naeem was a fearsome fighter, he never did learn the art of Boxing and, as a result, was beat by a better-schooled fighter who did not even come close to having Naseems natural power and reflexes. Man...Naseem could have been one of the all-time greats. Such a shame.
And IF it had been a 15 round match, Barerra would have taken his head off. And IF Barerra had not been one of THE greatest boxers of all time, he MIGHT not have won.

Hamed took his defeat like a man and an smart one, he didn't want Morales as a comeback fight.
Jinja-Ninja none of those Mexicans had a chance if they actually went toe to toe. Barrera/Morales/Marquez, they all would’ve been knocked out by Naz if they came to fight like how they did each other and you know this. 1:30 Naz wants to say it too but he’s being a good sport about it.
Jinja-Ninja I agree he boxed really well.
Search hamed didn't duck on TH-cam, morales, tapia and Marquez all ducked hamed.
Man I loved seeing him blocking the punches with his face.
He blamed allah for the loss said it was written for him, cmon dude Barrera was the reason you loss,he’s just the better boxer
a great man and a great fighter takes it..
damn cool
The best ever Boxer from Britain prince 👑
best fighter of his weight division ever, damn he was entertaining
zak Khan no hes not, he didnt fight or beat the BEST 4 OF HIS WEIGHT CLASS.
Barrera, Morales, pacquiao, juan manuel marquez. these are the best of nazeems generation and he ducked them after he got taken to school by barrera.
What cracked me up was Naz kept wanting to fight when the round was over!...,should of shown the same desire during the rounds!
i think naz made a good decision retiring shortly after, he is a fighter like roy, who relys on his reflexes and power, once he lost it he would have had back to back losses and would have tarnished his legacy like roy. naz bowed out at the right time.
Aha, a Good analysis
This interview is so ironic! He keeps on repeating that he will come back like a great fighter but ultimately never does...
Nas was Ali of lightweight division. True legend!
Well done taking the defeat with grace and humility. Your a better man for it.
You gave your best on the night and you can't do more than that.
Bullsh!t!!!
He got exposed by a real boxer.
He took the money and ran.
He's a coward!
Actually the loss didn't come from Allah - that ass kicking came from Marco Antonio Barrera !
+Joe Stagner Hardly an 'ass kicking', Barrera couldn't hurt him and Naseem didn't show up to fight, just dance, pathetic on both their parts.
Berrera didn't do anything for 12 rounds lol and the lost Is from Allah it was test from God but nassem accepted it and moved on not cry about it and go watch khan vs berrera then talk!
+zied111 just accept it, your little muslim lost and the Mexican won. It wasn't god that beat Naseem, it was Marco Antonio Barrera
+Vote 4Pedro i have never seen so much hate. stop talking about the guys religon shit at least have some respect
+mohamed azzam why do you Muslims say "god" (Allah lol) is the reason for everything that happens to you lot?? If your mother was raped and killed did Allah have something to do with that ??
Even though Naz got whupped bad, I give him credit for staying on his feet all night, despite all the solid Barrera hits and managing to go the distance without getting KOd or TKOd.
Legend has it he’s still repeating those same words to this day! “I’ll be back!” It’s good for him that he didn’t say what year!🤣🤣🤣
Well, he did come back and retired after a win. I don’t know what stupid point you’re tryna make.
@Simon Cowell huh
@@simko5314 against a bum again? Haha
Would you like to know who this boxer is?
He is the hero: Naseem Hamed.. Yemeni Arab champion 🏆🏅🥊
#Prince👑
#The_legend☝️
#Pleasure_boxing🎉
#legend_that_will_not_be_ repeated💪☝️👊
I wounded why he quit. He was a good fighter. He just got beat by a better fighter.
in one interview he said that he had problems with his fists...another thing is that just like pacman he became religious during his last years....religiousity diminishes their passion or let's say their animal instinct in the ring. just look at pacquiao...here's a link www.boxingnews24.com/2009/03/naseem-hamed-why-did-the-%E2%80%98prince%E2%80%99-retire/
SIMPLY
he ain't Indian. You hate him for being a clown but you can't deny he is a great fighter!
PaChin Probably because Barrera lacked the cognitive and verbal dexterity Naseem posessed.
Like his family
Love his last few statements. Such a great attitude!
A LEGEND COME ON JUST HAND PICKED FIGHTERS TO FIGHT UNTIL HE CAME UP AGAINST A REAL BOXER LIKE BARRERA , AND THAT WAS THE END OF THAT FOOL.
Nas could of won this fight but he did not train hard enough
anyone know why naz quit and didn't take the rematch?
didn't think he could win?
he went to jail
This was for all the Christians in the world in Mexico and in heaven especially Catholics!🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽🇲🇽 🙏✝️Que viva Cristo Rey!!🙏👍
Amir Khan (muslim) KO'ed barrera
@@S5.4 Yes but Muslim Kahn got KTFO by Catholic Canelo 100 times worse
Well, naz still dedicated the fight to all muslims, and barrera despite winning the fight has still not become a muslim so he will loose out in hereafter and endup in hell, when he stands before his Lord Allah.
Amen to that brother
@@S5.4 Canelo KO’d Amir Khan
It's not that he boxed well you were sloppy and careless plus he's in another level then you even Morales will whoop you your not in their level.
Nassim is a legend
انت فخر لليمن واليمنين
even if u lost u r the prince ever
For such a cocky fighter, he is very humble and modest in defeat. Fair play to him.
What could he say? We all saw what happened
Take caps off and take your shitty opinions elsewhere bellend.
you talk about shitty opinions? naseem never fought a good fighter until he fought barrera, he lost misserably and retired only at the age of 27.
You just reiterated your shitty opinion. If you don't rate him, get off a video dedicated to him you idiot.
wow, i feel realy offended! great fighters come back, like ali, loosers get lost like these guy
He's so one dimensional and had to rely on one power punch. Just wasn't enough.
Naz was class in this interview. I remember thinking he was a prize prick back in the 90s, but he offered up zero excuses here and gave respect to Barrera.
Unlike a certain heavy weight who won't take defeat gracefully currently
there was a return clause in the contract Berrera gave up the belt he won when he seen the clown was afraid to take him on again .berrera knew naz could not punch as hard as the rumours had said and he would not have to be careful at all so when he had him hurt he could go for the ko. unlike the 1st fight in which he was being a little cautious and did not go for the kill when he had naz hurt
But you never came back LOLOLOL
+Jason West Barerra refused the rematch and Prince had one more fight after this, which he won and then retired due to the injuries he kept sustaining to his hands.
+Jason West he won the IBO featherweight title from Manuel Calvo before retiring.
+Adob Debunkology My bad man. boxing is hard to follow sometimes.
Man, i wished he came back but he never did. Legend.
so......tell us all again about how you returned to knock out Barrera then, Naz.
..........(yawn!)
Who barrera? He die fight pacciao. He Like punching bag
did they fight again?
+Gianflavio FX No, Barerra refused the rematch and Prince had one more fight after this, which he won and then retired due to the injuries he kept sustaining to his hands.
naz is just like tyson, overrated as hell, fought bunch of bums and got exposed as soon as he fought real boxers.
well said
You are totally wrong. I'm not going to argue about Tyson because this is a Naz video, but Naseem was one of the most talented boxers that ever exist. You can see he's not the same fighter against Barrera (physically) than in most other bouts. He didn't like to stay away from his family, and so he start to miss the training.
which top tier fighters did he beat?
sry i dont speak watermelon
there was only like a few rounds between it, if anybody watched Hamed when he was younger he was obviously out of his prime.
hes a true man!
Phenomenal fighter, personally not my favorite showman but you can't take away his legacy.
nope he wasn't best he ducked marquez morales tapia even mayweather
golden boy they ducked him in the early 90s and only offered him a fight towards the end of his career.
nass talk a lot of s*** talking about he was going to come back and fight forever he knew deep down that he was out class by Barrera
Ash Bisho. It's true all fighters should be judged on their talent. But it was naz who disrespected and belittled other fighters, and was the first to bring religion into the ring by demanding that prayers be said over the microphone system for his father?? This was outrageous imo
when you be back??
Aladdin go back to Disney you don't know anything about boxing
Hahaha!!! I like that!
That's right Marge Babe l showed best highlights of Pernell Whitaker & The Prince Naseem Hameed over today's fighter Amir Khan an Early scared a retired Floyd Mayweather Whitaker an Hameed was better
+Luis Castellanos
Lol! I never liked Amir Khan's or Prince Naseem cockiness. I find that Latinos boxers an't so cocky instead they are more down to earth and humble. Even Marco Barrea showed his humble side and so did Canelo when he beat Amir recently.
I'm not a muslim, and enjoyed this fight. VERY MUCH
Did they have a re-match?
But he never came back and got a Barerra rematch, he should have got a rematch, KO him and then retire like a boss.
😎
KO Barerra?????
Hahahahaha. Good one!
Nas was always respectful to his opponents after the fight whether he won or lost
@simone the cow
What's with the irrational hate??
Naseem was one of the most impressive natural athletes I've ever seen in the ring - certainly a better natural athlete than barrera. Unfortunately, even though Naeem was a fearsome fighter, he never did learn the art of Boxing and, as a result, was beat by a better-schooled fighter who did not even come close to having Naseems natural power and reflexes. Man...Naseem could have been one of the all-time greats. Such a shame.
Nas had a better chin too imo
If Naz did not take Barrera lightly then Naz would have beaten him!
And IF it had been a 15 round match, Barerra would have taken his head off.
And IF Barerra had not been one of THE greatest boxers of all time, he MIGHT not have won.
@longtoothedparrot who should have he fought?
@BartsBeatz didn't he get into trouble with the law after this??
fair enough. Still gotta admit Hamed was one hell of an entertainer if anything and he displayed great sportsmanship taking the loss like a man.
What a waste of talent naseem the Prince i wish if he remach this fight and do some trining before it..!!
Naseem only ever fought one decent fighter and that was Barrera, Barrera annihalated him, all you so called fight fans that think otherwise, know jack about boxing!
he was never the same after that fight, yeah he won his last fight. this dude was amazing goodness.
